I’ve been learning about the progressed sun this morning and my question is do people typically exhibit the characteristics of their progressed sun more than their natal sun? I’ve mentioned before that I was born on the cusp of Libra and Scorpio. My natal sun is in Libra and my progressed sun has been in Scorpio since I was one years old. People reckon I exhibit Scorpio qualities. Just this week a lady in my office asked me if I was a Scorpio. She reckoned I “behaved like a Scorpion”. Also, my progressed sun will be moving into Sagittarius next year, so could this mean I may start coming across as a Sag to some people? So is it better to look at one’s progressed sun rather than their natal sun when trying to figure out a person’s personality? Many thanks Miss Mystic Chart: http://www.astro.com/cgi/showgif.cgi?lang=e&gif=astro_245gw_01_me_2009724.41085.24090.gif&res=100&va=&cid=hfkfilebTPH55-u1213270259 IP: Logged |

well technically yess because when the progreassed sun moves into scorpio where ever your sun has moved at this exact point in time is what your like right now but you will always be a libra because that the sign you were born in. plus it makes sense that the woman thought you were scorpio you were born on the cusp you share both qualities of a libra and a scorpio. You have strong amount of Scorpio any way with Mercury,Venus,Uranus, and Mars in Scorpio. i think probably *most* of the time a person acts more like their progressed sun, but it's hard to quantify. i dunno, i'm a sag rising and have had progressed cap rising forever and i am generally very cap rising unless i know a person very well, then i'm less reserved. my progressed sun is pisces but i have so much other neptune/pisces stuff going on (conj ascendant, pisces SN, and living on my neptune/AC line) as well so it's hard for me to know what's what. also progressed moon seems to lend a VERY strong flavouring to natal moon and i think counts a bit more for behaviours, etc, personally. exactly woahmy Sun is in progressed in Sagittarius, but I already have a strong Sagittarius influence with my Jupiter conjunct Imum Coeli in Sagittarius. My Jupiter square Ascendant and Moon have affinity with Ascendant and Moon in Sagittarius. progressed planets going in sign will just add to the theme of the sign, planet, house stuff like I pointed out, she already has 4 planets in Scorpio. the progressed Sun in Scorpio is just adding to the strong Scorpio that she already has. the progressed Sun in Scorpio is also significant because it was conjuncting each natal Scorpio planet in Scorpio as it progressed. I felt different when my pSun went into pisces. My mercury and moon were also progressed into pisces! Thing is, I felt different before I even knew what a progressed chart was. It was an ah-ha moment for me. I knew I had been feeling more emotional and like a watery sign. This was like being plunged into ice water for me, because I have no water natally. It was definitaley a new feeling for me and very uncomfortable. IP: Logged |
