My granny has an Aries sun, and she's pretty calm...though she does speak her mind rather freely, which may help as she bottles nothing up. She certainly butted heads with others in the past, too. But she had a lot of self control, and she just didn't let others upset her unless it was of real importance. One of the amusing memories I have of her is once when I walked in (at 14), asking me if I'd walked home with 2 boys. When I said I did, she said, "I got a phone call from [drug store lady] telling me that one of the boys tried buying 2 boxes of condoms but she refused to sell them." "I was with them the whole time, and they didn't go in there. Besides, there were a bunch of old people there glaring at us anyway." She nodded and said, with a hint of exasperation, "I figured she was just making up stories because she was bored, but I said I'd ask you about it. Next time I'll tell her to look up Exodus 20:16." (E20:16 is "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.") That was it, and I don't think she thought too much more over it (though she did say something about my reputation, that if it got bad, even because of baseless lies told about me, some bad people might decide they could do bad things to me). And just one reason I love my granny (many others would've had their parental figures all freaked out over it, assuming it must be true, no matter how illogical or unreasonable such an assertion was, or how many times lies like that had previously been told about others, including against the one who guilelessly believes such baseless rumors). On the other hand, I lived with an "Aries deluxe" (all inner planets in Aries, with an Aries ascendant), and by the time she was gone, I'd definitely developed a thick skin. She was rough (though also protective), though she at least never held a grudge save in the most horrendous of actions (I'm thinking of abuse she suffered as a child because of her mixed race, and even then she rarely brought it up unless someone else did). Whenever she blew off steam, I pretty much just got out of her way, knowing in a few minutes she'd be fine again. IP: Logged |

do any of those Aries people have significant Saturn influence for discipline? That might be a factor....especially if Saturn aspects the Moon,Sun,or Mars.Raymond ------------------ “It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status. I don't know if I count being only an aries riser, but if so, I agree with Alia. I am very calm because I choose to be calm, having seen the alternative. It ain't pretty.IP: Logged |

Hmmm... You must just run into some calm Aries folk, cause I know a few Aries Suns that are either all over the place or very over the top. One Aries Sun I know has Pisces Moon and Sagittarius ASC. and verborrea (she talks constantly). IP: Logged |

I've met some calm Aries, yes. With no Saturn influence either, interestingly. In the most crazy situations, I've found that Aries keeps a cool head while everyone else runs all over the place and freaks out. Chaos can ground them, which is funny. In fact, it's usually Pisces that I've found to be incredibly high-strung. IP: Logged |

could be some strong Saturn midpoints...especailly involving conjunctions, oppositions also could be parallels, contraparallels involving....those tend to be overlooked. also...I wonder about easy aspects involving Neptune and the Moon.
there is sort of tranquility with easy Neptune aspects...depending on what else is going on in the chart there is also sort of emotional ease with easy Moon aspects....depending on what else is going on in the chart. easy aspects involving Uranus might also be good for detached like coolness....depending on what else is going on in the chart. As with anything, I think it would be wise to consider all aspects and not just say all sun signs are one way or another... so yeah, a more wholistic approach is best I feel. But god is it ever hell to try to get people to just look at the whole chart without isolating signs and damning them to a string of endless adjectives. IP: Logged |

With Aries Sun, Venus, Mercury & Ascendant, I think I'm qualified on this one. Very very calm. I'm the person you want around in an emergency situation, totally in control and everything handled practically and efficiently.Interesting about the Saturn. Saturn is in Taurus, along with Mars, both in 2nd house. quote: my personal experience shows theyre slow to anger, strong under pressure, anything goes attitude in terms of social events, and people you can come to for support without judgment.

Hmmm, I can get pretty worked up whenever I'm nervous or upset...but it usually goes away fairly quickly. If things aren't going my way (ie, an art project, say...coloring inside the lines...art was never my strong suit. bahahahaha), I tend to become visibly frustrated until I get it just so...That might be more my Virgo Rising, though, I suppose.I have Sun (7th) in Aries, square Saturn and Neptune in Capricorn. I never lose my cool during the high-pressure situation, no matter how aggrivating or annoying it is. However, when it is over with, expect me to vent. An earthquake may be felt, because I internalize EVERYTHING. Especially at work. But I find myself working way more efficiently and with speed during this time, aggrivation motivates me to hurry and get past it.------------------ Still hopelessly in love with my Virgo! have always been told i'm calm and soft-spoken. strangers think i'm unapproachable, and when they try they immediately hit a brick wall. Cap asc. and/or Gem moon are probably responsible for that.i think i also attract the same people because all my Aries acquaintances are calm and soft-spoken. IP: Logged |

I'm Aries Sun/Merc (8th house) with a lot of Pisces/Gemini influence (inner planets, 6th & 10th houses), + Virgo Asc. This makes for a peppy, chatty, "magician" of a person with several projects on the go (and a notable leaning towards the occult), according to one site my "true" aura is strongly magenta I do feel very "Aries" but there are times when I identify similarly with my Pisces and Gemini selves. Cannot bear to be depressed, but unfortunately prone, depending on lunar phase. Calm in very very stressful situations as have learned that it is better to be icily calm (especially if in danger of physical violence) than antagonizing other person even more.
