I should thank Deux for introducing me to this site... I think this guy's got some hilarious blogs. I thought this one was particularly entertaining: "Things Go Wrong At The Gemini-Sagittarius Debate" MODERATOR: Thank you for joining us for the first in a series of debates for the leadership of the Zodiac. Tonight, Gemini and Sagittarius will discuss the issues. Sagittarius has won the coin toss -- SAGITTARIUS: Well, I do have the reputation for being lucky... MOD: -- and will go first. Sag? SAG: Thanks. A lot of people have complained that there is no real choice in this election. I'd like to take the time now to point out the many significant differences between myself and my opposing sign. First of all -- GEMINI: Bor-ing! SAG: Beg your pardon? GEM: You know, supposedly I have the reputation for being the yappy one. Two to one though says you've got ten minutes of material there about how you're all philosophical and stuff, and how I'm just "flighty." SAG: Have you been reading my notes? GEM: No, I just know you. I know how you can take one philosophical stance... whether you've really thought it through or not... and spin it into a long tale that sounds like it's all well thought out. But sometimes it isn't. And I'm calling you on it. SAG: Listen, scatterbrain: you haven't thought out your positions well enough to call anyone on anything. I say you just catalogue data and then use that to argue against anyone who thinks differently from you. GEM: And that's so different from you how, exactly? SAG: I... you suck! GEM: Yeah, well YOU suck! MOD: Please, could we return to the debate please? SAG: Who's the nimrod who hired Virgo to moderate this thing anyway? GEM: Yeah. Virgo's kind of like us in a way, but they're so... Virgo-ish. SAG: Yeah. They're that thing, that Virgo thing. They're so... they're like the intellectual hallway monitors of the Zodiac. GEM: Good one, dude! (pauses) This debate sucks. SAG: Yeah. Hey, wanna go drinking? GEM: Sure, let's go. I'll drive. SAG: No, I'll drive. GEM: No, I'll drive! SAG: No... http://matthewastrology.blogspot.com/2008/08/things-go-wrong-at-gemini-sagittarius.html

Vary Funny and vary Intresting...I whould have almost said the same words, but a bit diffrently. When arguing with Sags I find the typical ones will turn the debate in another direction. I whouldn't have said boring, but I whould be bored because I already have a good idea of what the Sag whould say. <quote>GEM: Yeah. Virgo's kind of like us in a way, but they're so... Virgo-ish.</quote> I've said something simmilar to that.. but more of "..Virgos have there own way of doing things". IP: Logged |

Hee hee... I've got 3 planets in Sag and 3 in Virgo, so I totally understand the Sagittarius POV and the "Virgo-ish" comment. I am sometimes "Virgo-ish." We really are the intellectual hallway monitors of the Zodiac too. Geminis drive me freaking nuts... IP: Logged |

OMG FREAKY. This is like me, my brah, and my sister talking. My sis is gemini mooner who argues for the sake of arguing, my brah's the Sag-type (his chart ruler venus is there), and I'm the virgo moon mod. O__o On the otherhand, this also echos the battle between my venus (gemini) my chart ruler in Sag, and my Virgo moon. On one hand, I want to be the dazzling intellect (venus), on the other hand its great to drone on about your philosophy on life (saturn in sag Man) and then sometimes I'd rather play strict Librarian (virgo moon). Man, mutable energy is a trip.....

Well I am in a relationship with a Gemini and I must say that he is the one who can be long-winded: He really takes a lot of time to get to the point and can be so verbose. It seems the Sagittarian above has strong "Leo" influences because they sound pompous and "above it all". Being a Sag myself, I am usually the one who responds with "BORRING!" when my gemini starts talking. I love him to bits though. IP: Logged |

I know a Gemini Sun - Sagittarius Sun couple that have the hardest time making any sort of decision, it gets really annoying. In fact when I read this it made me sorta sad because this couple I'm referring to is having some relationship issues at the moment, I'm not really sure if Gemini and Sagittarius are supposed to be romantically involved, they are drawn to each other but maybe they are better as friends? I have a cousin who is a Sag sun conj Saturn and square Jupiter, while I have a Gem Ascendant and Sun/Merc in 3rd house. This isn't how we debate at all, though I definitely think our debates have a sag/gem aspect to it... we can both talk for HOURS about philosophy. A hallmark of our relationship is debating each other to sleep (especially if a debate starts in the evening and ends at 2 in the morning). We try to pin down each other's arguments, because I'll never commit to any one stance but I'll throw out a million at once, and his ideas spiral out of control and he never lets up! It's pretty great.IP: Logged |

BopBop, lol Thats funny, my dude and I have his Gem Sun/Merc opposing my Sag Moon/Nept. We go at it for hours, about all kinds of things. Its so much fun. But he usually goes deeper than I. His Sag Moon is Conjunct his Scorp Neptune so when he gets to dark, I freak out and always end up folding first, my compassion wins out everytime, but I swear one day I will when a debate. God as my witness!Signed: Bitter Oh and Geo: I totally agree about the Moderator, thats bogus man! lol IP: Logged |
