Personally I have looked at my natal, and found some planetary geometry involving Transneptunians (I used Eris, Sedna, Makemake, Haumea, Orcus, Ixion, Quaoar, Varuna and Chaos):

Sedna is one of the big ones,and so I don't see anything wrong with a 3 degree orb being used. A natal chart is different. I use narrower orbs for Uranus,Neptune for transit than natal because of its slow moving object. I use even narrower orbs for synastry.

With Sedna,but I use no more than 1 degree orb in transit, and no more than 5 minutes of arc

I use smaller orbs for smaller transneptunians. There are thousands of them, and so there has to be some type of order.
