Forgive my slight inexperience, but can someone explain what this really means..?

"Sun hard aspect (conjunct, semi-square, square, opposition) Sun/Moon midpoint" I don't quite understand.. and is there a calculator somewhere where I can find this out?

Thanx!

Here it is

Just put sun in box A and moon in box B and click on get midpoint. It will show the midpoint position between your sun and moon sign/degrees!

Thank you, Lara!
Oh, but I neglected to ask what does in mean in synastry? How do you find out these aspects between them in relation to someone else?

Thanx again!

you can also get the midpoints for all your planets at astro.com
Go to Extended Chart Selection, then click on Pullen/Astrolog and then select Aspect/Midpoint Grid Chart.
I don't really know what it means in synastry. All I can say is that my boyfriend and I both have our Sun/Moon midpoint conjunct. There's is great emotional connection. I think midpoints maybe show connections you might not see between planets in synastry.

the sesquiquadrate is also used
that's the 135 degree aspect. it's 3/8,5/8
the semisquare is the 45 degree aspect. it's 1/8,7/8

both semisquare and sesquiquadrate are 8th harmonic aspects

SR,
the hard aspects mentioned tend to generate the most energy, I guess with that aspect the conjunction would be the strongest.

a Sun/moon midpoint in the natal is a meeting of solar essence and the feeling nature, in essence the midpoint is an inner marriage, as Sun conjunct Moon in synastry is the classic partnership/marriage aspect, so it's meaning natally is drawn from that thinking.

another's sun conjunct or hard aspect that point is important in synastry and is supposed to create a tie where the midpoint person will feel drawn to the sun person as the sun person's solar outpouring of energy will help them access that inner balance more easily, and in theory associate the sun person with that inner merging in terms of falling in love or very much liking the other person, speaking mostly of the conjunction here, but all the hard aspects will [or in theory are supposed to] trigger this to some extent.

the moon can be substituted for the sun as well, but i think its influence tends not to be as dynamic [in your face] but it still is strong.

What sort of orb would you use for sun/moon mp connections? I am especially interested in the suggested orb for semisquare and sesquiquadrate.

Thanks Lonake,

Well my partner and I have Sun Opp. Moon DW in synastry.. and after doing the calculations, it seems that our natal Suns are in opposition of each others midpoint.

Also, am I supposed to combine our midpoint at all? I think I read that somewhere..

You mean midpoint to midpoint synastry? Most here seem not to favor it, but I do, with a small orb, maybe 1 degree.
