This is bizarre cos i recently met this awesome guy and he has Virgo ASC at almost the same degree!

We get on like a house on fire and have totally synched lives, even down to dates of things that happened to us. Maybe this is why?!

Lara, are you an outgoing person? If so the Virgo ascendant chart would suit you since most of the planets & *all* of the personal planets are above the horizon.

Stelliun in the 8th is a strong Plutonian/Scorpion influence. Jupiter in the 11th - lots of friends/acquaintances.

finally?! lol
I think we should all go out for a drink now and celebrate LL styley!!!!
Thank you all so much... i am just going to look at it for a while now and let it sink in!!

I still have to do all the SA's to dates though.

Actually, the really interesting thing about this chart is that Jupiter arcs to my AC at age 26 when i got married, Mars arcs to my MC when i ended the marriage and neptune arcs to my IC when i left my great career and photographer boyfriend!

My sun is on my MC right now i guess and i am having the most amazing time right now, feel very happy and looking for a new career!

Deliverance,

I am very outgoing yet i also need time to myself
I have lots of friends yet i have few really close friends. Most of my friends are of the "ha ha" "he he" fun and frolics variety, or they know me through spiritual pursuits.

I am lucky with friends - i can ignore them for ages and when i contact them again, they are always pleased to reconnect.

"Yikes Glaucus, that Eris in 7th sounds yucky.
controversy, diversity and discord are all words i would associate my 7th house with though."

main thing with Eris is

Diversity,Equality

and to some extent, Ideology

note what

Dr. Michael Brown said about naming Eris

“It is absolutely the perfect name,” Dr. Brown said, given the continuing discord among astronomers and the public over whether Pluto should have retained its planetary status.

In mythology, Eris ignited discord that led to the Trojan War.

“She causes strife by causing arguments among men, by making them think their opinions are right and everyone else’s is wrong,” Dr. Brown said. “It really is just perfect.”

It sounds like the Virgo ascendant chart suits you Lara.

Have you thought about taking a trip down to the Astrology shop in Covent Garden? They don't rectify charts but they have a plethora of info about UK astrologers & might be able to put you in touch with someone that can help.

Good luck

Hi Lara;

No, I don't think you are Leo, but, when I looked up Jackie, I was surprised that SHE was a Leo, because she looks "watery" to me.

I would of thought she was Pisces, and that's probably what I would of said about you too, although the Scorpio seems to fit as well.

I think the "alone time," but with lots of friends, fits the Pisces better, because usually scorpios are pretty selective about who they have as friends.

So, I guess it would be a matter of deciding if you fit more of the Mutable personality, or the fixed.

Do you let go easy? Change your mind alot? Are you pretty open minded, or would you say that once you make up your mind about someone/thing, that is it??

the only hitch is the birth-day story. if your mum went in in the early afternoon, was induced and THEN had a caesar, it would be unlikely to be as early as 4pm...unless they waited all night and induced her in the morning? which is certainly possible, but your POOR MUM!! the contractions under induction are horrific...

I'm very easy going.. i'm definitely more mutable in this respect.

Katatonic - yeah, i'm trying to remember if my mum went to the doctor before lunch or after. I guess if she was worried, she would have gone before. I know that he drove her straight to hospital so maybe they just went straight to a C-Section instead of inducing?

I can't think why they would induce when they couldn't hear my heartbeat strongly. I wonder if i was having a withdrawal to her drugs and this is what started the whole day off... that would make sense as to why i went blue because i looked online and drug withdrawal happens up to 48 hours post birth. Maybe she forgot to take her pills the night before or something.

Who knows! It's like playing Sherlock Holmes! Deduction my dear Watson

In the article in VIG's 8th house thread, it says that often people with an 8th house experience the death of a family member at a young age.

I think my mother abandoning me was like a death for me and interestingly, lots of people when they meet me ask me if i'm adopted which i always found odd.

I think Jackie O is too, Ami.

this is just insane. I'm just so overwhelmed by all of this and all of your kindness in helping me sort out my AC.
That 8th house explains so much about me and how i feel so misunderstood and an alien on Planet Earth.
It's spooky and comforting at the same time.

and you know what, your chin is what linda would call a "libra" chin, so libra in your first house...fits with that too!

Yeah my chin is quite Libran. A great libran friend of mine has a similar chin now i think about it

Ami - just because she was ill and had major problems so from day 1 my father looked after me. I pretty much spent my entire childhood with my dad and entertaining myself!

The "Transpersonal school of astrology" in Germany sais the 4th house reflects the mother (Moon-symbolism) and the 5th house reflects the father (Sun-symbolism) - I know this is much to get one`s head around, but to me it actually always has made sense in the charts I have interpreted.

Anyway, they also call the aspect you have: ruler of 4th house in 12th house (conjunct the cusp!): "the disappeared mother".

There are other expressions, too, of course. A close spiritual link to the mother for example,
but usually they describe this aspect such, that a child at least "feels" abandoned and lost, becaus the mother is not present or somehow not able to care for the child, either because she fights an addiction or she is in jail or she is sick all the time or she needs almost childlike attention herself, because she is rather immature.

The ruler of the 5th house falls into the 8th house conjunct NN - which would mean that your father had a tremendous influence on your lifepath. Even if we say the 10th house represents the father, it still would be in the 8th house; and the 8th house forges the deepest, most intense bonds.
In the positive sense it can mean that your father took great care of you, with great responsibility, yet coupled with a deep emotional bond.
On a more challenging side this could also mean that sometimes a parent expects too much of you, like they expect you to "live according to their ideas" (8th house / Pluto can also be obsessive about the idea about how life or people SHOULD be); if that breaks through, it can get manipulative, stifling and lead to powerplays, making it very difficult to "grow up", as one always thinks they "owe" their parent something, as they made great sacrifices.

But hopefully it was more positive in your case.
In the most positive case an 8th house parent could be a real rolemodel of principle and lived ideals.

I reckon 2nd decan Aries, which would explain the Leo-esque hair and also put your sun in your first house, which would expain the centre of attention thing.

DD,

your last post is just fascinating and SO true in my case. I was blessed; my father looked after me very well. I am proud of him for bringing my brother and i up

It really makes sense, thank you!!!

also, Pluto was heading towards my IC when i got married and alot of my marriage was through the PLUTO/IC transit which makes so much sense too! I feel that that period was the most intense, profound, stripping, black hole experience of my life and i've changed dramatically throughout because of it.

Matt - i am far from attention-seeking LOL
and trust me, even though i can see why you think that, i'm not a Leo. I love them but i'm not one of them

This is interesting.
The date i ended my marriage, as in told my husband:

T NN was at 29' ARIES
It went D for 1 day and then back to RX.
"29 degrees of all signs in predictions means the ending of something.."

N IC 21'16 sagittarius (approximately)

T mercury 20'43 sag
T venus 21'36 sag
T pluto 22'47 sag

Now the question is, which one would have been exact cj my IC. Mercury? Because i sat him down and ended it? My emotions (venus) were already finished and the drive to finish it (Pluto) was a while before i told him. I spent the whole of the few weeks/months beforehand thinking about it.

Also, when i fell out with my mother, T Chiron was EXACT cj my IC
ouch.

Now pluto is in my 4th and i've moved house!

lara,

BTW putting your Vedic ASC on 29 Leo, will give you a tropical ASC of 22 Virgo.

Well I know very little about ascendants but just looking at you Lara (gorgeous by the way)it's screamingly obvious you are Sagittarian.
You are like a wild filly! In your posts you are outspoken and can usually take it on the chin when anybody has a go at you (except the other day, but we won't mention that!)
Plus you have that bouncy resilience.
I know you have an athletic physique but
you have an untamed manner about you.
If you ever watched Sex and the City my favourite episode is where Carrie goes to the hotel where Big has got engaged to Natasha.
She stands outside and he comes over to her and she says "Why wasn't it me? Why her?

And he shrugs and says "Because it's easier with her and you were always so....
And then she watches this horse tosssing it's mane and getting skittish and realises that essentially that's what she is like.

And if you don't watch SATC this will mean NOTHING to you!!!
My vote is Saggie
