In Synastry, if your Lilith aspects your partner(1-2 degree)--you have a chance to face your inner self in a unique way.
My Lilith is an exact conjunction to his sun.
He does not teach by words or theories such as in therapy i.e in an intellectual way.
By my connection to him, I am given back to myself in such a way that I can see myself and hence heal myself.
Can anyone relate to this?

This is asteriod Lilith right? Not Black Moon Lilith? Actually, I don't know if it makes much difference in my chart since if I recall correctly they're both within a couple degree from each other in my 1st house between my late degree Virgo Pluto and early degree Libra Uranus singleton. .

I am a very Lilith-like woman, for better or worse. Sometimes reading up on the astrological significance of Lilith is pretty depressing for me because there has been some much Lilith-like darkness in my life that I've never been able to ignore. It deeply shaped my childhood, which was full of painful experiences of loneliness, misunderstanding, rejection, harassment, abuse and ostracization both overt and subversive, much over my gender and developing sexuality and how I did not conform to social expectations. It has as though other people have been trying to banish me one way or another all my life.

Dear Cherle
I can relate to your feelings of isolation and lonliness very well.
There are 3 different Lilith's--I think. The asteroid one is what they give on Astrodient and what I am using.
My experience--now--with my Lilith conjunct my guys Sun is an opportunity to FACE all those parts you are talking about.
I think that our pain and isolation is from a rift with ourselves.
For me,my enemy is the cast off part of myself which torments me with my own unworthiness.
When that part gets embraced--the outside world will heal---I am quite sure.
Does this make sense to you, Cherle?

in my chart lilith is in conjunction to my sun.. i found that not only i but also other people who have sun in conjunction with lilith have a strong distaste for people of the opposite sex.. not necessarily leaning towards homosexuality but more towards the sense of self love of the sex as a whole.. deeming the other one inferior..

i dont necessarily understand my personal placement though because its in the house of leo (5th) along with my sun but they're both in virgo.. so i take it to be very much like lilith in leo?

Darkness in my 1st house conjucting my Ascendent, I definately would own Dark Vader in a lightsaber match, I would have a kickarse double blue lightsaber. *whistles*

On a serious note, I think this placement makes me body conscious of my female body, I buy binders because my boobs freak me out.>_>

Guys
If you look at other articles---Lilith is a teacher.
If we don't face the dark parts of ourselves--we can't be whole.
We will forever be wandering--looking for outside people and experiences to make us whole.
Lilith is good--like Pluto--if taken the right way.

Ami

PS I think so much suffering in the world is people not willing to face their own evil i.e.darkness.When you face it--you can put light on it so it does not hurt you or others.
That is how I see it, anyway.

if it's Lillith from the 'list' menu ..
i thinks that's black moon lillith ..
( has a venusian-like symbol on the chart )

it corresponds with b.m.lillith in my software ..
i.e. by movement ..

Good topic Ami. Another view - Darkness doesn't necessarily mean negative, it means something that has not yet been brought to consciousness. Hence, once the aspect or trait is unveiled or made known you can deal with it and turn it into gold... this is often the origin of much great art, music, and literature that has been produced throughout time.

Accepting womanhood, where do I start?

I think that is the lesson Lilith is trying to teach me but I honestly don't know what "being" a woman feels like or what a woman is for that matter, except the obvious.

I can accept femininty in all women and I admire that energy and then I think of my own feminism and it's kinda like.."puff the magic dragon" puffing out nothing but smoke instead of flames.

There is an informative post on Lilith in the Advanced Astro Forum.

Lilith is where women use their sex as a weapon (by saying no) and where men can hurt us through sex (also procreation)

No it's not nice at all
It's not like they want it and are asking for it.
It's more like taking it (possibly Rape) or explotation.

Lilith covers miscarriage, infant death, wet dreams, etc

This interp is for Black Moon Lilith
(from the list menu)

Lalalinda
When Astrodient gives one Lilith--isn't it the Asteroid----not the Black Lilith or the other "bad" one.

Thanks so much Ami

PS Doesn't every planet/asteroid have the possibility of redemption such as Pluto i.e. that you can USE the energies for transformation?

I think you're talking about asteroid lilith and I'm refering to BM lilith
http://www.islandnet.com/~licht/lilith_asteroids.htm

Lilith

Her mythology dates back to Sumerian and Hebraic tradition.

She was considered the first wife of Adam, his wild and instinctual consort who animated his sexual longings and claimed equality with him, “because we were created from the same earth”. When he wanted to dominate her, she left him and chose loneliness and exile rather than subjugation. As ‘punishment’ for her rebellious act against the masculine, Lilith was regarded as a personification of the ‘feminine evil’, a demoness and ‘vamp’ that attracts and then devours male energy, the raging, ‘out-of- mind’, uncontrollable feminine, uncivilized woman who cohabits with men at her own will. The witch in her role as devil’s consort and the temptress and ***** / prostitute are some of the prominent dark Lilith archetypes and (particularly male) phantasies and projections in our Western societies.

Psychologically, Lilith brings up deep and primal issues like unbound sexual power, repressed feelings of rejection and rage, and yet refusal to submit. In a ‘Lilith state’, we are very irrational, but sometimes it seems as if that’s what it takes to bring out the truth from underneath. Perimenstrual times can guide us women to Lilith’s realm. I would suggest acknowledging themes that come up, and finding a safe, creative and transformational outlet.

The association with 'Black Moon' which some astrologers attempt to justify with calculations round the Moon's shadow in my view has to be regarded symbolically and psychologically: In mythology, Lilith got enraged about the 'diminishment of the Moon', in other words, about the treatment and self understanding of the feminine as secondary and inferior: As 'Moon', lots of women have been (expected to) merely reflecting back the sunlight of the creative, Sun-like masculine. Lilith's causes for claiming equality for the feminine were dual - for herself, and for her 'Moon sisters'. It reminds of feminists who fight also for equality on behalf of their home and family bound woman 'sisters'. Therefore, the 'Black Moon' speaks of the alliance of Lilith and Moon. It is always interesting to consider the relationship between Lilith and the Moon (and also Venus) in one's birth chart, to find out more about the dynamic of the inner 'feminine trinity', in women as well as in men (as their 'animas').

Many traditional men tend to avoid going to these muddy emotional (esp. Lilith and Moon) places; they let women ‘specialize’ on it and rather stay ‘in control’. Thereby, they perpetuate a projection of the demonic dark feminine onto ‘women out there’, while an aspect of their own inner feminine (the ‘anima’ ) cries for acknowledgment and integration. I would like to encourage men to deeply explore what brings out their ‘inner Lilith’.

Most of the (major) asteroids, like the planets, are named after Roman deities, which refer to the earlier Greek mythology.

Oh Ami

The whole equality thing with Adam was because he wanted to be on top during sex therefore "closer" to the creator (God)

quote:
I like the entry for sediment found in a dictionary, “solid fragments of inorganic or organic material that come from the weathering of rock and are carried and deposited by wind, water, or ice.” It’s quite poetic, in a way. I think of all the years that had to pass to weather the rock to grind it and chip bits off of it, and then the elements of the universe, the air, the water, perhaps even fire, taking these bits and bringing them down to earth, to the ground. And there sprang Lilith.

Lilith combines all of that plus metamorphosis into all that we have beneath our skin, the bits that didn’t wear away, that stayed alive and true about us. They are still there. We need to acknowledge them and face them - to make them our own. In that process we become real, not just a stick figure drawn in someone else’s notebook.

Lilith - along with Ceres and Pallas and Juno and Vesta - can shore our sense of self together into a tapestry that is written with our own names, the most sacred and highest, which are the ones we have created for ourselves.

This was the part I could relate to.

I am gonna study some more and get back.
The Asteroid Lilith(given on Astrodient) is different from Black Lilith so I was calling the Asteroid Lilith the good one.
I wish I never started this thread lol
Please don't worry when I, a newbie, don't know which end is up.
