Hey everyone,I am always fascinated by vertex and yet this time, l have no idea what this means. My guy and l have vertex conjunct vertex in synastry. His is 27'1 capricorn in 5th house. Mine is 26'47 capricorn in 5th house. Ironically, he was born on 27th and i'm born on 26th! What does an EXACT vertex cj mean please? Obviously, our composite vertex is in 5th house too and cj our natal vertex's. Here are our vertex aspects:

With the guy who recently left me, we have a Vertex-Vertex conjunction. It's weird, with most of my relationships there's a "fated" feeling...and this one DIDN'T have that. Although I was physically/sexually attracted to him right away, I was (uncharacteristically) mellow about whether we ever got together...maybe because of issues in my own transits/natal. But once we did start seeing each other romantically, I had a feeling of "I want to spend my whole life with you." (Obviously he's not feeling like that now! But he also had very "deep" feelings, to use his word, from early on.) As well as that Vertex-Vertex conjunction, his Vertex was conjunct my Sun and Mercury (orbs 0,2,3). I think the Vertex may play a role in the sense that someone is integral to your lifepath, to the stage of your life after meeting them. IP: Logged |

Vertex/Vertex conjunctions means that you have your angles lined up (meaning same ASC and MC). Which has its own implications.I also only count hard aspects to the Vertex and have really only found it significant if there are conjunctions (but that is in my limited experience). Like, ASC/Vertex DW felt definitely fated, or at least it was a love/lust at first site kind of thing. And we kind of hate each other, but still feel the need to keep each other around. Like, I've said before that last year he decided to "end" our friendship but still texts me randomly. So that person is going to stick around you no matter what, for better or worse. My roommate and I (which I haven't really mentioned before) also have ASC/Vertex DW, but less tight (his Vertex is 2 degrees away from my ASC) and it was an instant friendship. But we also have Sun/Moon and Venus/Mars conjunctions in our synastry. I think the fatedness of a Vertex contact will also depend on how the native views fate lol. IP: Logged |

Amowls--I'm glad to know that about the angles. I often feel a connection to other Cappie Ascendants...I thought it was because stuff happens to us at the same time (like, an eclipse in my 7th house is also an eclipse in their 7th.) But this means, depending on the degree, that their Vertexes will probably conjunct my Sun and Mercury (because I have a Sun-Mercury-Vertex conjunction.) IP: Logged |

I'm using a 3 degree orb. I know some people think that's way too wide, but I've noticed in many synastries that conjunctions/oppositions can be felt up to 5 or even 6 degrees, depending on the natals. In this case, we have Vertex-Vertex (3), Sun-Vertex (2) and Mercury-Vertex (0)...because of the conjunctions in my natal, I think I'm "feeling" the Vertex-Vertex via a domino effect. But who knows? I do it partly intuitively/creatively/artistically (lol) with each chart...in this case I was like, Oh! that radical feeling that there's something *pivotal* in the relationship=Vertex! IP: Logged |
