I was wondering what natal and transit aspects would suggest success in this career?

9th house or 3rd emphasis, strong Mercury and/or Jupiter contacts (or at Aries Point). Gemini/Sagittarius MC.

Assimilating career from a chart has many levels however so the above could be absent and the chart could still point in that direction.

Trust your instincts too, if you love it and you're talented you don't need an astrologer to tell you!!

Hiya Waxlobster, can you expand a bit more please. By third house emphasis do you mean a certain number of planets in that house. By strong Mercury/Jupiter contacts are you referring to positive aspects, conjunctions trines etc. And can you please define what you mean by the Aries point! Thank you very much.

Hi yeah by house emphasis I do mean planets in those. Especially say if you had the MC ruler in the 3rd or 9th house.

If Mercury or Jupiter receive more aspects from other planets then they are likely to be *linked* in to more areas. Hard aspects (conjunction, opposition, square) I would consider more powerful in this respect.

The Aries point refers to any planet at 0 degree cardinal with an orb of up to 2 degrees. So any planet at 0 Aries, 0 Cancer, 0 Libra or 0 Capricorn will *shine out* in the personality.

Really though this is theoretical, as I say the whole chart really needs to be looked at in order to assimilate focal points and career potentials. If you want to post the chart in question then it's much easier to ascertain

Well my MC ruler is in the IV house but My Mercury Squares Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune and Conjuncts Mars. My Jupiter is in opposition to, Saturn Uranus Neptune, Trine Venus and Pluto and Sextile my MC. Libra is my III house with Mercury there.

With reference to the Aries point, any planet at 0 degrees cardinal with 2 degree orb. My Sun is 29 Virgo, so 1 degree to 0 Cardinal Libra, my Moon is 29 Gemini, so 1 degree to 0 Cardinal Cancer, Libra Mars at 1 degree and Capricon Uranus at 1 degree.

How does that sound?

Well you have a lot of aspects in your chart to Mercury and Jupiter but with other planets on the Aries point, they may figure more strongly.

I'm confused... you aren't the person who asked the question? Are you also wondering about writing and publishing?

No astrologer can ascertain anything definite without seeing the whole chart, I know that's not what folk want to hear but I that's why it takes so many years to really the learn the subject!!

Haha, I'm not the person who asked the question but I am interested in the topic. I enjoy writing however I haven't really written much a few songs but the majority of what little I have written has been poetry. I was just curious about the number and degree of aspects that suggest ability as you described. I don't have a set career or job planned out, so dabbling in writing seems fairly attractive to me because it would be something I enjoy and can do wherever, whenever, the freedom. Thank you very much for your information. ^_^
