With Mars and Leo in my 4th I noticed that I always had to have color red in my apartment. Right now it’s the table, CD rack, book case, and the pillows. I still didn’t get to painting my walls in sienna red. Do you have a similar interaction between your IC and your placements?Sun: Yellow, inclined to purple Moon: White, or a light mixture, perhaps spotted Mercury: Azure to light blue Venus: White and purple Mars: Fiery red Jupiter: Red and green mixture Saturn: Black Aries: White and red Taurus: Red and citron mixture Gemini: Red and white mixture Cancer: Green or russet. Leo: Golden or red Virgo: Black with blue splotches Libra: Dark crimson, pastel Scorpio: Dark brown Sagittarius: Olive or light green Capricorn: Dark brown or black Aquarius: Sky blue Pisces: Pure white and glistening, purple

This is a cool post!
I have a Virgo IC (equal house 29° 4'54")Pluto in Libra 4th Singleton 13'8 If I had a choice I would paint simple decorative designs or beautiful pictures on my walls. I would also choose Purples,Golds,Indigo Blues,Redwood or Cherrywood type furniture and/or Blacks to decorate with.(It's tough for me to decide )

i have capricorn IC and aquarius in the 4th. my kitchen is aqua. i have a very brown guest room. my current room is apricot which is like a cream or off white. it used to be a nice pale nile green. i only paint if the walls are crappy though and in my current place they are. when i move into my new place i won't paint a thing. i was thinking of decor and astro lately. i do have the cappy tendency too be too rigid in house style. like all black leather, stainless steel and glass. i don't want a place like a lobby though and that's what cappy style sort of means to me. my 4th house is actually in aqua. tech and high ceilings is what i've been hearing. you can also look at the moon and this is probably where i'd rather take cues from. it might make my place more warm and homey even if it is on the extravagant side. mine is in leo. if you have a colored house though you pretty much get to use almost everything. my outside wall is a chinese red. i have another lavender guest room. blue in one of the bathrooms and orange in another. Aries IC. If there was ANY red in my living space, I would probably be going off on people all the time. I guess since I'm naturally irritable as an Aries Mars/Virgo Moon it wouldn't exactly be a terrific solution. I prefer calmer colors to relax me. My current room is paisely themed with brown furniture and low-key colors to match it.

The way I decorate is very lush with Reds and Yellows, I've always been really into decorating and making my living spaces as beautiful and ornate as possible. I have a Aries IC, with Mars in Aries conjunct the IC. IP: Logged |

Libra IC, Pluto conj, Jupiter in Scorp in the 4th here are pics of things I have in my home, or that are very similar, these pillows are in the living room, plants all around bought a birdcage exactly like this at an antique shop one like this except the legs are wood, but still red cherry wood floor i'm garden-obsessed so I put metal garden furniture in the eating area, except mine is dark green and brown in swirls and a round table and am in love with scroll patterns

a good number of religious images and decorations, most religions, I don't care which really, I just want it to be a beautiful and soothing object, this is a pill box i have which i really like, it's just like this one, and then a good number of feng shui type objects, i have an african warrior mask just like this (replica, not actually used) and i pick em up in antique or thrift shops so now I have a good lil collection, Jewel tones, basically, the same as for my clothes. Favorite colors are red and green, so I have good number of red furniture and a ton of plants. IP: Logged |

I found some more interesting pages on the home in astrology. I hope that it's ok. If not, I'll respectfully remove them..... http://www.astrology.com/whats-your-home-style/2-d-d-65997 What's Your Home Style? by Kosmic Kelly November 13, 2009 08:23 PM EST Most horoscope columns use a technique known as solar charts, where the astrologer/writer assumes you have the same rising sign as you do Sun sign. It’s simple, effective and actually quite ancient. Based on this system, the third sign from your Sun sign is the sign associated with your home, family and domestic areas. Here’s how it works. If you are an Aries, your home and family sign is Cancer (Water). If you're a Taurus, your home and family sign is Leo (Fire). If you're a Gemini, your home and family sign is Virgo (Earth). If you're a Cancer, your home and family sign is Libra (Air). If you're a Leo, your home and family sign is Scorpio (Water). If you're a Virgo, your home and family sign is Sagittarius (Fire). If you're a Libra, your home and family sign is Capricorn (Earth). If you're a Scorpio, your home and family sign is Aquarius (Air). If you're a Sagittarius. your home and family sign is Pisces (Water). If you're a Capricorn, your home and family sign is Aries (Fire). If you're an Aquarius, your home and family sign is Taurus (Earth). If you're a Pisces, your home and family sign is Gemini (Air). If your home and family sign is Water, then the relationships you share with those you live with are most important. You crave a home setting that is peaceful and nourishing, where you can escape everyday life. A great bathroom or shower space is necessary, and if you can set up home near water -- even better. You’ll also enjoy a quiet meditation space to help you tune into your feelings. If your home and family sign is Air, then a home space full of technological gadgets, books and communication tools is most important. You’ll want to keep your mind busy when at home, and may like the background buzz of music playing. Having lots of air and light in your home, or better yet -- a view -- is ideal. Consider setting up a relaxed entertaining space to host friends and family who’ll drop by -- this is a busy home! If your home and family sign is Earth, you’ll want practical and functional home space that helps you meet all your basic needs -- and pampers your body. Earth homes are usually simple and filled with furnishings that are easy to maintain. Body and food are in focus here so a great kitchen or well stocked pantry are important, as are quality fabrics and classic furniture that will last. If your home and family sign is Fire, you’ll want a home in which you can be active. Setting up a home gym or dance space where you can sweat is ideal -- or invest in a hot tub or sauna. Since fire rules passion, setting up your bedroom for maximum intimacy is also a must. This may be a home in which heated discussions are had, but it’s all in the name of self-expression. A creative or art space can also help inspire. Remember, how you are at home is often very different from how you are out in the world, so you may need different things at home than what you need at work or in relationships. Try incorporating some of the elements of your home zone into your domestic life and see how things improve.

http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/astrologysigns_homes.html The Signs of the Zodiac: Homes
How do the different signs of the zodiac view—and keep—their homes? Typical Aries doesn't spend a lot of time and focus on their homes, probably because they don't spend as much time at home, or because they are not as attached to the home and family as many of the signs. For the most part, Aries tastes are either simple or bold and strong. You won't find too much floral and pastels in Aries' homes, nor will there be a lot of attention to detail. Aries people love the feeling of freedom, so they do best in a home environment that isn't cramped. The typical Taurus home will be a sensual delight. In Taurus' home you'll find aquariums, plants, comfortable places to sit, and candles. And it will smell great. You wont necessarily find many high-tech items in the Taurus home, except perhaps in the kitchen. What you will find is high-quality, functional, and comfortable furniture and furnishings. Taurus generally surrounds themselves with earthy and organic things, and they are usually quite attached to all that they own. The Gemini home may be a little on the disorganized side, but it is generally quite cheerful and bright. Gemini is generally not known for being excessively attached to their homes, but they definitely do need their surroundings to be pleasing and stimulating. Typical Gemini homes are well-stocked with books and magazines, a couple televisions, and plenty of telephones. Because Cancer treats their homes as safe havens and retreats from the world, the typical Cancer home is not designed as a showcase for others. Often packed with things that have memories attached to them, like photos, antiques, and family heirlooms, Cancer homes are comfortable. The Leo home will likely be quite luxurious. If it isnt, you can fully expect that certain key items will be—the bed, the couch, and the entertainment system. Plenty of mirrors, a tendency towards gold—and possibly bordering on tacky—trimmings, and plenty of expensive items will usually be on display. A Virgo home will be practical and functional. Its cupboards will be well stocked, its bookshelves brimming with books and manuals, and a computerized home office will likely be the most lived-in room of the house. Decorations are unlikely to be too fanciful or imaginative. Libra homes are generally very well-balanced. The Libran eye for color and harmony will usually show in a pleasingly arranged and furnished home, finances permitting. Scorpio homes don't have to be as bright or roomy as, say, a Sagittarian home. The colors are deep and rich, and the overall effect is intense and imposing. Scorpio homes have plenty of atmosphere. The Sagittarian home will generally have a lot of open spaces—too much furniture or a crammed environment will drive them crazy. Closets, though, are probably packed to the gills—this sign is not known for its organizing skills. Capricorn homes are generally tasteful, rather sparse, and practical. Generally, Capricorns are not as caught up in comfort as, say, Taureans are. Some Capricorn homes will have plenty of expensive, tasteful furnishings; while others will be economical and orderly. Aquarius homes will likely be quite unique and interesting, boasting the eclectic tastes associated with the sign. Intriguing and original furnishings and decor usually characterize the Aquarian home. Many of the latest high-tech gadgetry will often be found in the Aquarius home. Pisces homes boast variety of furnishings, mixed colors, and collections of items that hold sentimental value. Generally, the atmosphere is soft and warm. You'll rarely find stark or sharp furnishings in a Piscean home. A large collection of music CDs, plenty of plants, and unusual knick-knacks are featured.

my sign is Aries and i have a saggi AC with saturn, uranus and neptune in 4thThe Sagittarian home will generally have a lot of open spaces—too much furniture or a crammed environment will drive them crazy. Closets, though, are probably packed to the gills—this sign is not known for its organizing skills. this perfectly fits me. everyday i put everything in place and my stuff flies here and there on its own i swear i don't know how it all gets so messy in my room m known for being messy when it comes to "home" generally. but there is no black and olive green in my room. i love blue, and water, anything that reminds me of water..may be its presence of uranus and neptune in my 4th IP: Logged |

Yes!!! 4th ruled by TaurusMy last house had a red wall and couch in the lounge room. I have a red coffee machine. I just bought a house with a red kitchen splashback (lucky it matches my coffee machine and couch lol). Also my Sun is in Taurus. If I am looking at a solar chart, my 4th house is ruled by Leo (also red). It's like a mutual house reception! Makes a lot of sense to me

I am Cancer but I don't like the Cancer Style. I fancy more Scorpio and Pisces Style. Maybe is because of my Scorpio ASC and the cusp of my 5th house. The odd enough is that I don't like Virgo Style and I have Virgo Moon.On IC I have Aquarius and don't like Aquarius Style. Too much colours for my personality. IP: Logged |

Lonake it iss lovely I am moving though and have to sell the red couch. Absolutely. Devastated. LOL. Am thinking of getting another smaller one in the same colour or maybe a white or beige couch with red accent cushions... softer than the red (though maybe this isn't needed at a Leo address! You should see the ceilings in this place.. ornate and beautiful). IP: Logged |
