I thought I would make this post for everybody to share anything they want to regarding Sabian Symbols. I have been looking into them for a while and find it interesting that their interpretations are usually relative to what I am looking for.

For anyone new to Sabian Symbols, they are symbols for every astrological degree in the Zodiac. So if you look at each degree placement in your natal chart and its sabian symbol you will see how much more individualistic it's interpretation is to you.

Here is a link I personally like: http://www.mindfire.ca/The%20Sabian%20Symbols/An%20Astrological%20Mandala%20-%20Co ntents.htm

Also try looking at degree placements for composite charts with significant people in your life. You'll see the symbols might match your your feeling's and relationship with the person.

Enjoy

Yes I like kozminsky symbols as well. It's fun to read both.

I have been looking at the sabien symbols for a little while now, but after reading this I looked at the Kozminsky symbols and they feel and seem more accurate for me. That sabien are also, ust not as much. These are both great!

Yes I agree, personally I also felt initially kozminsky symbols really matched but on the other hand sabian symbols have a more under the surface meaning which you may or may not dig for. Plus i thought it would be easier to start people who may not know with Sabian because it is easier to find more info on.

Thank you L

They can be intresting to read cant they? I found these interpretations to be very reflective of some of my deeper ways.

My top three are
clair-seeing
revolt against privileges
purity in understanding

Is your Asc. 2 degrees Pisces? I thought it looked familiar, if so it conjuncts my Juno

^ The Sun is 1.57

I wonder if a lot of people here have one of those psychic-y sort of symbols prominent in their chart? Anyway I love the interps for the symbols, makes them easier to incorporate.

L,
I also had that thought when I saw clairaudience in your top three. I get a hunch a lot of people on here have psychic-y sort of symbols prominant. I am glad you like the intrepretations as well.

And as for the sun-juno, no wonder I always find your reply's to stand out and be of good help. You give me a feeling of support.

Sand,

lol no biggie. These words seem to sum up the symbol in one word. Yours seems to be a interesting combo, especially widening of experience.

It seems L has quite the connection with both of us

widening is 0-1 degree scorpio, my rising.

i use sabians alot the past weeks for unaspected stuff or things hard to find an aspect/house/sign reading for like some obscure asteroid.

most of my natal sabians suck tho dats y i don't lyk using them eheheh!

tho i calculated midpoints in one of the threads here and did sabians on them. i loved most of them. i wonder y they r nicer..

there's also a 360 degree thingy on astrotheme.

Neato! Thanks for sharring.

"PHASE 22 (ARIES 22°): THE GATE TO THE GARDEN OF ALL FULFILLED DESIRES.

KEYNOTE: Abundance made possible by human togetherness and cooperation.

In contrast to the crude and cruel road to fame and power symbolized by the prizefighter, we now see a symbol of apparently wide-open and effortless fulfillment. Alone, a human being can barely survive in nature's great life drama; in organized groups men can in due time fulfill their desires. The abundant life is in theory open to all. At least this is the ideal, the great dream. This symbol can also be given an erotic meaning, referring to womanhood.

At the second stage of this series of symbols, the goal of happiness dominates the consciousness of cultural man, the more validly so the more modest his desires. Religious philosophies, like American New Thought, glorify this social feeling of abundance, glamorizing it into an avid COSMIC OPTIMISM and a cult of success. "

This is so strange that you put this up. Just now I was about to give an example of how composite sun degree symbols often tell you the relationship. I have this degree as the composite sun with someone. He gives me a very free-spirited, lighthearted feeling.Mixed with spiritual/emotional bliss. It is a very optimistic feeling.
Is this your Sun degree? If so, do you feel optimisim helps you flow better or takes you to spiritual highs? Its like I was meant to find you to explain!

Sand,

Thats smart for intrepreting the unaspected things through the symbols, i will try it too. Yes thats what i am saying about the composite midpoint stuff, its really on the ball . I dont know why you dont indentify with your natal symbols, are you saying you cant reflect on them or your just having difficulty intrepreting them?

ahhhh finally! the astrotheme symbols are what comes up in charts on certain websites! i always loved those and wondered where to find them. Thank you sand! Those are very on the dot on a more surface level. It is going to be fun to compare both now! I notice these go more hand in hand with what a vedic astrologer predicted of my chart.

Here is the link for these as well thanks to Sand everyone:

oh cool glad u liked them hehe!

do u know a good website for vedic chart interps? or are you indian and have easier access to them locally? i'm like a pushya there or something. cancer i think, which is my mc in western.

i've had western and chinese readings in person. chinese has been the most accurate for me by far but i do believe they say the same things and i was a noob to western when i had my chart read. didn't even know what a rising sign was.

Oh I wish! lol

I realized there's no interp for 0°. It's awesome there are interps for the rest though, I was confused by some of the sabian symbols for my planets hahah.

you always add 1 to whatever degree your planet is in. so for example for me 0 degree scorpio i would read 1 degree scorpio. dats how i learned to do it anyway.
