I'm trying to understand what you mean by being able to speak to groups but not being able to relate to them. Isn't speaking to the same thing as relating? Even so... you found a group that works for you simply by being on this forum, if you think about it. And isn't it fascinating that you got Venus in Aquarius (a "group" ish sign)? I don't know... I always look at astrology that way, like you have your Capricorn sun to anchor down the idealism Aquarian traits might contain...

My Dad and my Mum are very affectionate with each other, always holding hands, kissing, hugging, after over 37 years of marriage (also argue, well, discuss a lot, but almost always in goodnatured ways).

My Dad`s Venus is in Aquarius, and my Mum`s Venus is in Virgo.

Not the most affectionate placements, you say?

Sure, but ONLY, if you see only these placements.

My Dad`s Venus turns out to be conjunct Jupiter and opposing Pluto and he has a Taurus-Moon.
my Mum`s Venus conjuncts Mars and she has a Scorpio Sun and Cancer-ASC.

And then the synastry:
my Dad`s Taurus-Moon opposes my Mum`s Scorpio-Sun
my Mum`s Venus is conjunct his ASC exactly.

And suddenly things get a little bit more interesting, than simple signplacements.
