Hello,

I am curious here. Despite my age, I make friends/feel more comfortable being friends with people that are not in my age group (18 or younger) Most of my friends are 19+ with that being said I consider myself a mature young adult/woman and what have you - i do have my moments of immaturity but who doesn't? - I notice that earth signs are the most bossy towards me. Whenever I go out with em' they act like they are my chaperone... its one reason why i hate telling people my age because they automatically assume I am not fit to take care of myself and they compare me to every other reckless teenager when thats not me at all. First of all, I have an impressive streak of self-control, I know my limit, and I am quite sufficient on my own, I have common sense etc. etc.

This is what happened last night, I went to my boyfriends place we hung out and then we went out with his friends. All of them mostly being male and 2 females who were around my age. Boyfriend asks what I would like to drink, and as i look @ the menu he tells me "Oh yeah you're not drinking. At all. So would that be Iced tea or orange juice?" I ask "Why can't I drink" - I was not planning to drink btw. I just wanted to know what his problem was about me drinking - All HIS friends were drinking including him! But I wasn't allowed to? We got into a fun argument I told him he can't tell me what to do, and he said "Well Im paying so I can." I said "Hypothetically speaking if I was paying I can drink all I want" he said "No you can't. Not with me, you are not drinking and thats final. What else would you like to drink love?" I said "Who cares I will be legal to drink in less than two months.. (jan 25 woo! Here in Canada legal drinking age is 19" He said "Even then, you're not drinking might as well get that out of your head." Now I dont think I will go to any New Years party with him because he will be watching me the whole time, he has a problem with me even drinking a sip. I dont get it. Im not an alcoholic I know my limit + i dont even drink!

Also, I know people way younger than me that drink to survive they drink all day everyday like it's water. My taurus sis is the same way won't let me drink at all but she allows other people to drink.

Are they just always wanting to be in charge/the boss of you?

Okay. I did get drunk once. Under his supervision and it really ****** him off. First of all I'm really small and petite I got drunk way too quick, he wasn't happy and he did mention he would never allow me to drink when he is around. But I did learn from that occasion, it was an honest mistake and a major learning experience. Still whats with the mother/father act? Because my Taurus sister does the same thing they both have Cap mars

They seem more protective than bossy...

I think Leos, Aries, Scorpios and Capricorns can be pretty bossy.

Bossiest person I know has an Aquarius stellium and a Sagittarius stellium. It's her way or the highway. Sun/Merc/Venus/Jupiter in Aqua/8th house, Moon/Saturn/Mars in Sag/5th house.

Don't let him do that to you! Nobody deserves to be controlled like that! Make sure he knows that a loving man has confidence in his woman.

I would never dream of doing that to my wife. It's like me telling her that she can't eat burgers and fries because it would make her fat. So, honey, which would it be? Salad or fruit? And lay off that dressing! How rude is that?!? And I don't care if he's paying or not.

Manipulation and control are loser tactics - sorry to put it do bluntly. Only losers control and only losers would accept that control.

And whatever Scorpio or whatever... All those excuses can kiss my ass.

that's because aquarians are always right.

my ex was as aquarian as aquarius could be... aquarian stelliums up the wazoo... and his saturn conjunct my ascendant... and he was a micromanaging, controlling son of a gun. lol

totally agree with YoursTruly... and when you stick up for yourself and tell him you won't accept that kind of controlling behavior, if he is unwilling to stop and think about what he is doing and whether or not it's right and/or respectful to you, he is not worth your time. Life is too short.

That controlling behavior gives my bossiness a bad name. . Yes I am ultra bossy at work. It's part of my Capricorn/Aries nature and it drives my career success. However, I limit my tyrannical nature to the workplace and the take no prisoners kick butt attitude stays at work when I leave to be with those i love.

Well, that's good. Just understand that it's my advice that you never allow man.. Any man.. To ever run your life or dictate what you should do or not do. You should always be a strong and proud woman in charge of your own decisions and your own destiny, whether you are single or eventually be married.

It's not an Earth sign thing. (Although there are bossy Earth sign individuals.) My mom is a Sagittarius and bossy as hell. Her dad was a Cancer and BOY could he boss people around like nobody's business. He was a cop.

Basically I think all signs are capable of bossiness, it just comes out in different ways depending on your sign.

Well... I noticed he doesn't like getting help it's kind of funny.... maybe it's a man thing?

He bought this system I recommended, and he wanted to test it out on my phone... he spent 20 minutes trying to make it work. Even though I knew the short cut way which would only take 1 minute LOL! anytime I said "Here I'll help" he would say "no no nooo it's okay!! I can do it you just sit there and relax" I couldn't stop laughing at how difficult he was making it. he eventually accepted my offer... Are you like this?

No, I'm not like this.

That is about pride and a fat ego.

The stereotypical butthead man rather get lost driving for one hour rather than stopping at the gas station to ask for directions.

It's not a "man" thing. It's just plain stupidity.

Heavy first house placements can make for bossiness. Also, someone can start out being bossy and become less so. Old family friend of mine was a 1st house Cap sun, mercury, and Venus and bossy as hell. Turned 30 and mellowed out. People can outgrow behaviours.

I become worse as I grow older and assume more senior roles at work. . My sun, mars, mercury in 10th House. The impatience just gets worse and the attention span gets shorter. Lol.

Double whammy with that 10th house there, YourTruly
Ah yes, I would def count the 10th house as bossy. But there's good bossy and bad bossy - if I'm going to be bossed around, I'd like to be by someone who at least knows what the hell he's talking about
