I don't believe in coincidences, irony yes lol. I think astrology is showing you that you went for a guy ALOT like your father! Whether this is good or bad depends on your relationship with your father and if you want to go that route. My first relationship was with a guy that turned out to be alot like my ex step-father. I cannot tell how much because I do not know my ex step-father's bday info completely. Once I saw the similarities (in real life first of course and then in astrology) it made sense why I had been drawn into that relationship -but it also made sense why it didn't work and why I was happy it didn't work out. I want something much different and better for myself! So, I think it can be a great tool to use in your life (you noticing the similarities) in that you can see what path your relationships are taking and determine if that is what you want or not and make adjustments in whichever direction you choose! ------------------

I've heard some girls say they would want to marry some one like their father. This takes the cake, I really do not think its coincidence. Maybe your fathers soul split in half and that soul reincarnated into your ex boyfriend. 0_o

I thought it was a bit peculiar when I assumed your father and ex had the same placements. Are any of the degrees close together. I just look at little things like that to see if its destiny. Well if they had the same degrees thats really rare. You can make a composite chart and post it on personal readings if your still curious. I'm not an expert in composite charts or synastry.IP: Logged |

I keep getting involved with people that had some traits my dad possesses (intense, head strong, determined, stubborn, prone to anger issues -_- but also are witty) but I don't want sb like my father. I want sb more willing to compromise and calm. They say girls usually marry sb similar to their dad. But I hope I don't marry sb similar to mine. I need sb less plutonian and sb more relaxed, easy going and upbeat. Sb with strong jupiter def.
Father's acts pretty much sag like to other people (he has aqua rising, and moon on cusp of scorpio and sag and venus conjunct jupiter exact), but to the family, he's too hard on us and controlling. I don't want a guy like that. So gotta break that cycle. IP: Logged |

Hahaha...Yeah, it is a confusing thread. I think what you're saying Pancakes is: did your ex really like your father's traits since the ex ended up with a new boyfriend that has the same placements as your father? Am I correct? Do YOU happen to have any similar placements as your father? In families you tend to see similar elements/signs/placements, though perhaps not exact. If you do have some similarities in placements, the ex might have been attracted to those particular energies in your chart and also in the new guy's chart. IP: Logged |
