Does anyone know how to figure out a person's time of birth based on major life events?

He was adopted and and brought to America when he was 4-5 yrs old. None of his adoption papers show his time of birth.
He's seen my weird chart thingies and solar returns and is so curious about his own. I tried to do a general chart for him using Astro.com, but without knowing his time of birth, I feel like none of it is definite cause the houses change everything. And I definitely can't do a solar return without a time of birth.

Would anyone be able to give a ballpark as to when they think this guy was born?

His birthday is:
December 28, 1972
Seoul, South Korea

Major life events:
Adopted and brought to America in 1977

First job:
Age 16 - I think it was at Burger King.

His profession:
Professional gambler/card player

My guess was between 8:40-8:59 pm, based on transiting Uranus conjuncting his IC at the time of his adoption and move to the States since that transit usually signifies a huge upheaval and move.

without any idea of time you may always only have half the picture.

If he reads through all the basic sun sign traits (other than his sun sign) he *should* identify with say 80-90% of another sign, which could be their rising sign.

There are specialists out there that do this for a living. There is a member on astrologyweekly.com called Kannon, who does this for a living and goes on AW every know and then to help out....

Other than this here are some research links to help you...

Ascendant physical traits http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25131

Ascendant by Kannon member on Astrologyweekly is Prof at rectifying charts http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/2011/11/17/standards-for-the-validation-of-birth-horoscopes/

You can listen to author Jodie Forrest here describe Ascendants and planets in first house, even buy her audio on the subject
Just briefly, according to member Kannon [Cardinal signs are more rounded. Fixed signs are rectangular or blocky. If anything there is someone in this forum who does birth chart rectifications. I'm sure you can seek him or her out, go to personal readings.

Heres more about it http://www.forrestastrology.com/General-Astrology/the-craft-of-chart-rectification
