Thank you.

Mine's in Cancer. No planets in 5th House except North Node.

I believe that I wanted relationships with women only only one thing in mind: to have kids as soon as possible lol

But it is true! The first thing that comes to my mind when looking at any female at that time was... is she wife material, and what is the probability to her becoming my wife *and* having kids lol

Otherwise, I didn't even bother going out on dates. Just not interested.

The same here!

But the thing is... i'm not attracted to Capricorns, not at all! In fact, if something of other people personal planets fall into Capricorn, i'd not get on well with with them! My Saturn is also there, maybe that's why. They seem too much down to earth, though.

I am actually a very independent thinker like that, too. I will entertain any ideas and embrace those that make sense to my guy, even though they may be very unconventional. Some I wouldn't even say, on here

5H rules children i think. so a good placement. also NN in a house does not by any means mean an empty house, quite on the contrary

Lotiwhite,

I like how you organize the information.

BTW would you say that if someone was having strong aspects to their 7th house (in synastry) but not to the 5th or even 8th house, they would prefer a deep friendship/ companionship with that person instead of falling in love (or infatuation) with them?

(of course planetary aspects would need to be assessed as well; I guess someone`s Venus conjunct another`s Mars or Uranus could change the scenario considerably, even if there were no strong 5th house aspects) .

Interesting concept (truly is - I'm not being sarcastic) - but what about Mars, Venus and Juno? - the big picture seems incomplete without them - even missing entirely for those that don't know their exact time of birth.

Lotis White,

"It’s deeper then friendship… It’s sweet warm fuzzies. It’s the love you feel when you know someone well and like them for who they are"
Yes, that was why I hesitated to call it "friendship", as it is much deeper than that. Maybe what I wanted to say is that without aspects to 5th or even 8th house, even IF there are aspects to the 7th house, that the "warm fuzzies" might be there and you really like / love the person for who they are, but you might not go "ga-ga" about them. Do you know what I mean?
it somehow feels more balanced like the fiery sparks of the 5th house (well my 5th house is more earthy, but you know what I mean).

"5th house Vs the 7th house is like the Sun Vs Venus. The Sun makes you feel ‘alive’, like something very special is going on, like the person glows for you with a brilliant light, and your captivated."
Hmm. I really like that description.
Yes, there is always this spark, this feeling of being alive with the 5th house and the Sun. It`s pretty energetic.

"Perhaps for us Gemini Dsc people it’s something like a way with words?"
Well, for me it definitely is. The voice but also how they use it, what they say, how they say it.
And humor - could be a really big turn on, or if it doesn´t fit, a real big turn off. It sounds shallow, but I actually think the "wrong" kind of humour (wrong as in: doesn`t fit mine at all) can actually be a dealbreaker for me. Not just because my man has to be funny, but I find that personality traits come clearly across in someone`s humour.
Oh and to stick with the shallow things, I tend to pay attention to hands. I have no clue why, but the shape of a man`s hands just gets my attention.

"
I’d say it’s almost impossible to find someone that attracts you who only connects with your 7th house, and doesn’t at least aspect the ruler of the 5th or the 8th house. "
Yes, but sometimes it is lopsided.

Like in the case of my synastry.
my 7th house ruler is conjunct his Sun, Moon and MC, which is quite a strong connection.
my 5th house ruler is trine his Mars and Jupiter by 4-5 degrees - of course there is still a connection, but it seems considerably "weaker" than the 7th house-connection.

Or in the case of the famous person we have been talking about.
my 7th house ruler is conjunct his Mars exactly.
while my 5th house ruler is *only* square his Moon.
(I never know how to weigh aspects to a man`s Moon anyway. how strong is it really as an attraction factor for a woman, if her 5tho r 7th house ruler connect to his Moon?).

"From what I’ve noticed our ideal mate is combo of the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses, along with the Vertex Axis. "
Yes, I agree.
And I would still like to see some nice aspects to Venus, though if Venus is ruling decidedly unromantic houses, it seems to be of a bit lesser importance.

I do tend to wind up attracted to people whose planets fall in my 5th than those whose planets fall on my dsc (or those who display personal traits of my descendant sign).

LotisWhite,

"In my chart the issue is confused somewhat though. I’ve got Jupiter in the7th, and the Dsc ruled my Mercury in Sag, and my secondary 5th house is the 1st house, my Sag Asc… Aries on the 5th relates back to my Asc. For me there is a bit of mixing with regard to Sag people."
Yes, I can see that.

In my case the 5th and the 7th house connections are a bit "split".
DESC in Gemini with Mercury in Sagittarius conjunct Sun.

5th house in Taurus with Venus in Capricorn square Pluto (yeah, brooding dark seriousness is a total turn on ).
Secondary 5th house is in Capricorn, with Saturn in Cancer in 8th house.

the "bridge" between them might be my secondary 7th houseruler Uranus being in Scorpio.

But all in all my 7th house seems more mental and open and my 5th house seems more serious and brooding, and probably more intense than my 7th house.

And I can attest to that, I REALLY like those Sag men, I really do, they are fun and so comfortable to be around and make me feel like I can be totally myself, and will not step on anyone`s toes. *sighs*

But you think it is a coincidence that these Sag-influenced guys have Saturn-Pluto-emphasis as well?
This works even down to the celebrities I feel attuned to or interested in.

° ASC and Venus in Sag, but Sun in Capricorn square Pluto, and Mars being in Scorpio; oh and Saturn opposing Venus

° Sun-Moon-MC in Sag, but Venus in Capricorn squaring Pluto and Saturn squaring Sun-Moon-MC

° Sun-Mars-ASC in Sagittarius, but Venus in Scorpio and Saturn squaring Sun

and all of these have Mercury in Sagittarius - naturally.

I guess I definitely have a "type" and it seems to be comprised of Jupiter, Saturn-Pluto and more than a pinch of Neptune

(Pisces-ASC plus Neptune widely conjunct Sun - Neptune on the ASC and widely conjunct Venus - Neptune conjunct Sun. Interesting).

But anyway I noticed that in the cases a Sag was NOT having this Saturn-Pluto ingredient especially in terms of Venus or Mars, I was not really attracted, though I still felt this personal affinity.

"Yeah, and he must be able to make me laugh. I mean, me specifically, not just people in general. Although, usually if you can make me laugh, you can make others laugh as well. Ha ha."
Ha ha. Same here!
I also find that Sag people like to make me laugh. Not sure why this is so. But they almost look "proud" if they manage to do so. lol
That is even true for performers on stage. I noticed that there is a certain bouncing back of energy, maybe I am just a good audience. lol

(and it seems performer I really like always have that Sag-vibe and astrology; except for one exception,b ut he has Sun and Mercury in Aries. lol)

"About aspects from a man's Moon. Since you have Cancer on the 8th house cusp you may very well enjoy receiving aspects from a guys Moon."
Yes it seems I do.
Dont like the sign Cancer in guys, but definitely like to aspect their Moon, obviously.

A. my Moon-dispositor Uranus conjunct his Moon (and my Sun-Mercury sextile his Moon)

B. my Sun-Mercury conjunct his Moon

C. my IC conjunct, my Mars-ASC-Neptune-trine and my Venus square his Moon

(the last one seems to be a bit different, as his Moon triggers my Venus-Mars more than my Sun)

Actually this is even true in family relations; my youngest brother and me have a pretty high affinity to each other. And his Moon-Jupiter-Uranus stellium in Sagittarius falls right onto my Mars-Neptune-Node-ASC.

"Actually I like to see good synastry in general where all the major parts of our chart interconnect in desirable ways."
Yes, I`d like to see some connections to
° Sun/Moon
°Mercury
°Venus/Mars especially

Of course Jupiter for joy and Saturn for glue as well.
And I have a weakness for uranus, Neptune and Pluto as well. And for the nodal axis. So basically everything. LOL

But really if it comes down to the basics there MUST be connections between the personal planets.

"Only I’m not gonna go into the details or, knowing me, I’ll be writing this all night."
I def. would not mind at all.

My fifth house is ruled by Aries. In matters of more light-hearted affairs and romance such as crushes, they burn brightly and quickly. Since childhood I've been susceptible to crushes. Always on the most unusual and the most unexpected types of people (11th H Venus & Moon)

They are never acted on though, and are mostly admiration crushes. I admire pioneers and trailblazers who think for themselves. And like Aries in love, sometimes the flame burns out just as fast as it lit up.
A flash in the pan, if you will.

Mars and Venus have to do with our images of desirable behavior for men and women respectively. They definitely do have an impact on our taste, but the 5th, 7th, and 8th houses seem to be better at predicting who we’ll actually wind up with. This is just what I’ve noticed through my observation over the years.

...from what i noticed it's mostly about some traits of a specific sign - and rarely about the people from that sign... and those traits seem to be related to Juno, as in "the kind of partner you need to achieve those results".

Lotis White,

"Our attraction patterns show very clearly in our chats."
Yes, and it works even with the celebrities we like.
you should see the progressed synastry I have been having and still are having, esp. with Jude Law and Ian Somerhalder, when I am going to see them (on stage, of course).
It is to the point of being ridiculous.
However I think given the social context it probably highlights the timeframe,w hen the opportunity arises to see them live, and that`s about it.

"Another thought I’ve been thinking about lately is that my secondary Dsc Aquarius is co-ruled by Uranus in Scorpio, and Saturn in Virgo… "
Are you using the traditional rulers along with the new ones?

" In men I’m definitely more attracted to Scorpio energy, but I’ve also found I’ve got a kind of liking/admiration for Virgo influenced women. "
That would fit the masculine / feminine association.
For some reason I have had quite some female friends with Virgo-planets. But it also seems like oftentimes men with Virgo planets (esp. Sun, Mars or ASC) hold a certain pull for me. though they would need to have Fire-influence as well, which is not Leo.

"There’s a Virgo actor I liked (I think the only Virgo male I’ve ever crushed on) "
do I know him?

"only he also Mars in Sag conjunct my Mercury."
see? There has to be the fire and in this case his mars was triggering your DESC-ruler.

"I know you have Saturn in Cancer in the 8th house, there’s definitely an emphasis on that Scorpionic energy there."
yes. Plus my Vertex is there as well.

" Just because one person doesn’t like a particular energy form a mate, doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of other people out there in the would who would love the exact things that you hate. Know what I mean, we all have our own little pattern. I guess I’ve noticed a lot of threads about dissing people recently. It’s not my cup of tea."

I totally agree. I try to completely stay out of these threads, as I find them to be so shallow and silly to the point of getting annoying and detrimental to sincere astrology.

On the other hand it seems like some people are having fun with them. So to each their own I guess.

Hmm, I don`t know him.

BTW Lotiswhite,
I was pondering about the difference between an attraction founded in strong interpersonal aspects (meaning between Sun, MOon, Venus, Mars and of course respective houserulers, angles and Vertex) as opposed to those being created by strong aspects of Uranus, Neptune, Pluto to the personal planets.

I was thinking that in the first case the attraction was more based on the basic compatibility of the personalities (or attraction), and might be a bit "calmer", not so ecstatic, but ultimatively proves to be probably longer lasting, because of the fitting together of the personalities. (though in the case of Mars being part of it, the energy might be very high and sparky).

And in the case of the outers aspecting Sun, Moon, Venus or Mars, it might be like a flash out of the blue, a lightening, maybe feeling more compelling, at least at first, but maybe the intensity is too high to maintain in a day-to-day relationship, especially if the personal planets are not really compatible and people do not relate to one another`s "inner script/ partner type".

Or how would you see it?

I have Pisces and my 5th hse cusp even tho I have Venus and Jupiter in Aries in the 5th I dont really identify with the Pisces energy tho. I do like people that can make me laugh and people who are real other than that I cant say. I know I have "Karma" with certain signs over and over . My Juno is in Saggi which I identify with a bit more.

I think because I am a cusp B-day and for a long time I thought I was an Aquarius Sun, I am slowly getting used to my 0deg Pisces Sun here. Being a cusp sign sometimes sucks.

Blessings to yall.
