There seems to be more than meets the eye with this placement. I have it and a few other knowflakes here and it seems we're not exactly textbook stereotype horndogs or evil tempered. Why do you think that is? Other opinions/experiences with this placement? ------------------ This girl is on FIRE LOVE, because what else is worth living for, and dying for?! Sandpaper kisses on a cheek or a chin That is the way for a day to begin. Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr I have an alarm clock that's covered in fur! IP: Logged |

For myself, I would say my house position in the 3rd influences things a great deal, making me more of a thinker, less impulsive. Mars is in the Pisces duad and also trine Moon/Neptune so calm waters flow over my anger. I have short bursts of anger that are usually intense but harmless. I am generally a peace-loving person, I appreciate harmony instead of dissension. I am not a doormat though, I'm quite assertive I would say. Saturn is also opposite Mars, making me very in control over how I express it. You won't see my temper getting the best of me very often. I was, however, surprised to hear similar stories from other Aries Marses. And pretty shocked that most of us can be abstinent for long periods of time without any problem. The word "monastery" came up a few times. It is not something you'd associate with an Aries Mars on first thought, is it?

I don't really know how to describe it but I think Mars in Aries can be the most dynamic of Mars placements. Every other Mars placement has an inclination regarding what they want to accomplish and prove while with Aries Mars, the energy just exists as is. They just desire to be, unlike Cancer Mars which desires to defend or Aquarius Mars which desires to be individual and so on.IP: Logged |

Well I think it's important to look at it being domicile. It's a natural way to deal with your Mars. I get mad fast, communicate it, and get over it just as fast. Aries Mars house 5 IP: Logged |

I can be assertive, proactive, work long hours, "work hard play hard" I have done sports like skydiving scuba diving, horse back riding, now when I get injured I just get back up again. I have been more careful since in the past I had few but pretty bad accidents. I have a pretty strong will. I can be very patient and tolerant except when it comes to the people, children, animals I love, only one chance will be given …...

Mars in aries can be very child like. We have this innocent exuberance in our approach to things. IP: Logged |

That's because you're going by descriptions of sign placement in cookbooks, which can't take aspects into account, other than pointing out (and most of them do) "unless aspects indicate otherwise". IP: Logged |

Hey qurl... I was thinking of our mars and I remembered you had mars in pisces duad right? That totally explains why you're more.... laid back. Plus your mars is aspected by neptune which gives a pisces like nuance for sure! I have Mars in scorpio duad, so I'm not a fire cracker either. On the surface I can appear very quiet and subtle, not loud and brash at all. Plus I have a knack for seeing through a facade to what lies beneath. Plus I can easily exploit others hehe IP: Logged |

Lol, yes that's true, Kero. I mean, I always thought that explained why MY Mars is more mellow than described, but I was surprised to hear this from other Aries Marses. I wondered if there's more than meets the eye with this particular Mars, who, allegedly, should only be concerned with sports, fast red cars, sex and anger. Yet few of us can go without sex for long periods of time. I don't even drive a red car (I think they're tacky )IP: Logged |

I have an Aries mars too and my Moon and ascendant are in Scorpio, so Mars is meant to be a powerfull planet in my chart, but unlike you may think I don't feel so "martian". I work in Cinema/Broadcasting and while my friends plans shootings, I haven't the courage to do so, to make plans, to gather a crew and shoot my stories. I feel frozen and hopeless. I am Virgo and my Mercury is in Libra, not opposed to my Mars (just to precise).IP: Logged |

Not much of value to add here (sorry), but I do enjoy Mars in Aries. My Venus in Aries and Leo AC tends to really like you people (so long as your Mars isn't squaring mine, or my Pluto, ha). IP: Logged |

I looove Mars in Aries! These folks have so much energy, and are very productive and hard working. They can focus well and arents scatter-minded. In men this placement is very hot!! I've also noticed that women with this placement are a bit aggresive and hot tempered.IP: Logged |
