I really found out these days that I got a whole bunch of contradicting aspects...
Some of them is my mercury aspects
Mercury square saturn is said to have a tendency to over-think, go into details and really think before any action is made and any words are being said? They like logic and being rational in their thinking.
Mercury square jupiter is really the opposite. They think big, forget details and tends to promise more than they can deliver. They are not rational and can be too optimistic.
While mercury square saturn can be overly pessimistic?This was just an example:P Do you have some contradicting aspects in your natal chart, and do you feel some of them compensate the good with the bad? Do you feel that the contradicting aspects actually harmonize each other making your chart more balanced in it's own way?  IP: Logged |

You can do both, no? Think too big but also micromanage details?  Aspects may seem to contradict, but that's only looking at them alone, which you shouldn't do! You have to add them together and you'll get more accuracy and dynamicism. With your example of Mercury square both Saturn and Jupiter...
Well, are Jupiter and Saturn in aspect? Are they conjunct or opposite? That can change the whole picture. I'll assume they're conjunct...now you have this person who goes over the top and thinks BIG! But at the same time, they are focused on the details of this big picture in their mind, this big picture which they haven't created yet. And at the same time, they have reckless thinking while being pessimistic too - they can overlook things due to Jupiter while still being unsure and unconvinced because of Saturn.

No, my jupiter is opposite my saturn with less than 0,5 degrees:P

Yes I have many actually:P Both moon-mars-uranus, and mercury-jupiter-saturn/uranus/neptune Actually they are also part of a grand cross with uranus-moon-jupiter-mercury and so on Thats why I'm so interested in contradicting aspects, and how they can compensate each other? IP: Logged |

YES, I think the contradicting aspects make more balanced. I think astrology helped me to understand what's coming from what. I was told I had a contradicting chart when I first got a chart reading on astrologyweekly when I was getting into astrology. I have Sun, Moon, and ASC in fixed signs that want commitment but have a freedom loving Gemini Venus opp Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Venus opp Saturn mitigates the Venus opp Uranus though. Anyways, I think when I was younger I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I think I wanted to be devoted to someone but not with them. I liked guys I couldn't have and was loyal to them. But when I was in a relationship -- i wanted to bail. I liked all the wrong people, really. SO what happens to work for me is to basically have someone with a very similar natal chart with the same conflicting aspects. He's a little more grounded than me, though. IP: Logged |

Me too.....But I don't wan't to be mentally lazy, that really sucks for the rest of my chart, I really need to be bright all the time  Maybe mercury square saturn/jupiter evens out, but then my neptune also joins in making it all confused....and I do feel confused every day....seriously, when someone gives me an order (from job, school, anywhere) I almost always have to hear it one time more, before I really hear it.... it's the same if I ask what time it is to someone, then I completely forget to actually hear what time it is...I HATE when I do that lol

Yup I have a lot of gemini energy however I'm too lazy to express my thoughts in a coherent manner.
I'm kinda all over the place.
Plus I hardly ever proof read...
