I have read the term ''prominent'' on the internet but i haven't fully understood it. When people say for example, a prominent Sun, do they mean it makes a lot of aspects? Sun is in it's natural position, the 5th house? Is part of a stellium? I have Moon in the 4th and Venus in the 7th. Does the placement alone make them prominent? And if yes, what happens when a planet is prominent? Is it strong? Does it have a sort of dignity?

Sorry for the continuous questions...

A prominent planet is a planet that makes a lot of aspects.
It may or may not be positive in its expression, but it's usually quite noticeable and strongly expressed.

So how many aspects make a planet prominent? Is three enough?
And i just read that prominent can also be a planet that doesn't make any major aspects, it is ''calling'', so i don't think it is the number of aspects alone that can make it prominent.

Erm...what if all of the planets in your chart have *at least* two aspects, but most have three or four?!
(My brain: "That means you're a complicated person.")

I have some planets that make something like twelve aspects each. How many aspects is the most one of yours has?

The most aspects my planet has? Well, if i have to include the wide orbs, and the trine to the ascendant, i guess my moon is making 6 aspects. Does that make it prominent?

Yep, complicated you are!

Piscesmoongirl,

Yes, that makes your Moon quite prominent.
I think you were talking about unaspected planets when you said that the number of aspects doesn't make a prominent planet. Well, if a planet makes no aspects, that makes it prominent (paradoxically) because its energy is raw and unfiltered by other planets.

But usually a prominent planet is one that "stands out" in some way - angular and/or with lots of aspects to it.
