When you have a planet in someone's 1st, 4th, 7th or 10th house, but not in the sign that's on the cusp of the house, is that less powerful than having it in the same sign as the cusp. Is it the same for other houses. I know that a conjunction to the ASC/DSC and MC/IC is really powerful but if you have a conjunction in the house before (12th, 3rd, 6th and 9th) how does it affect the way in which the house person feels it. I think so. The closer a planet is to a cusp, the stronger it is, at least for the angular houses. I'm not sure about other houses.. I think it's less relevant. quote: I know that a conjunction to the ASC/DSC and MC/IC is really powerful but if you have a conjunction in the house before (12th, 3rd, 6th and 9th) how does it affect the way in which the house person feels it.
A conjunction is still a conjunction, so it will be felt no matter which side of the angle it makes the aspect. The difference is that its expression may be slightly altered - it will express itself in both houses, and may act a bit "confusing" sometimes but the power of the conjunction is still there.
