Their eyes will always be honest even if they don't say certain things. They will *show* you that they care and that they care intensely (because actually, this is the only way they know how to care).

If there are other factors that come into play and possible problems between you.. like if you were both married to separate people for example - then yes - they can wait a very long time, even a lifetime to make their move.

Like Capricorn Mars (which is my Mars) they see the big picture.. they see the past/present/future of their actions.. and they are very planned and calculated.
If there are many outer problems and obstacles, they'll put their lover's happiness first (before their own) - and they will 'protect' the relationship between the two of them by putting up walls (so others can't get in)... and by gradually building things up to a point where no one can destroy them. They always do this behind the scenes though, not in an overt or obvious way.

But - if there are no outer problems.. so they're 'free' to be together... it won't take Scorpio Mars very long to go there.
They assess the situation - they test people - they want to know where they stand before they make their move - but this does not happen over the course of 20 yrs....
It happens over the course of.. maybe a month.

Capricorn Mars is the one that can prolong things for 20 yrs...
Scorpio Mars moves much faster (unless there are serious problems holding them back).. I know from experience.

The first one - who I've known since I was born and was basically like my brother when we were younger - is a Leo with Scorpio Mars. The guy I fell in love with is also Leo with Scorpio Mars. A male friend I knew a while ago was Aquarius/Sco Mars. Another friend who I've known for a couple of years now is on the Sag/Cap cusp.. I think he's a Sag. Oh and actually I had another Sagittarius friend who I spoke to almost daily for about a year, but it wasn't romantic.. and he also has a Scorpio Mars (and Pluto conj his Mars). There was a Scorpio as well with Scorpio Mars and we got close very very quickly but then drifted.. I'm trying to think who else.. There have been quite a few in my life!
It's my favourite Mars because it goes really well with my Capricorn Mars/Neptune conjunction... Mainly when their Mars is on my Scorpio Pluto and sextile my Mars/Neptune! That's the best mix.
