So I have an Aquarius Moon which falls in my seventh house,a gemini venus and mars which fall in my eleventh house with my sun and mercury being there too.My Venus trines my Uranus which is in Aquarius..And I wonder if my strong air influence is what makes it hard for me to grow feelings for someone-or better- to let myself feel.I don't do those kinds of feelings easily and I feel very uncomfortable when I do..
does this happen to other air influenced people too?IP: Logged |

You don't have a water void, do you? That one's supposed to give you big trouble.
I also have Moon in Aquarius, my only planet in an air sign, so it's a singleton by element. You'll keep others at arms length with this one, if I'm to offer any indication of this. Causes of humanitarian nature are likely to be something you enjoy to talk about. Moreover you'll regard all people as equals and be dumbfounded when some appear to think they're better, cooler; you name it, than others. That also comes with the downside that you'll have difficulty treating other people as "special", like you're supposed to when you're involved emotionally with someone. IDK, does all that describe you?
However, even if you have to pretend a little bit at first after talking and doing lots of stuff together, it should come naturally to you. Talking and discussing about various things helps, a lot. IP: Logged |

having this much air influence would make your more the intellectual type that is not comfortable with intense emotions..It doesnt mean you can't be in a relationship but if you are it would probably be based on friendship and companionship and you would approach sex in a light manner and would never take things too seriously. Also this could change if you have moon conjunct pluto or venus conjunct pluto or moon conjunct venus or trines among any of these combinations. The sign sets the tone and air signs are more detached and intellectual and that has its benefits too but You really need to look at the aspects or house placements for explanation on issues with opening up and ability to develop a good rapport or bond with opposite sex among other issues with opposite sex etc.. Do you have stressful aspects between sun and moon, venus and mars or venus and moon, or moon and pluto? Do you have moon in the 12th house? This can all indicate challenges you need to try to master or overcome. You could have a lot of air but have some intense aspects involving moon and pluto for example which would make you emotionally intense although the air influence will help keep intensity in check perhaps. What I am trying to say is that to get the truth there a number of factors to look into. You should post your chart up....sounds interesting. IP: Logged |

A disconnect from your emotions is a young/basic expression of air influence. With Uranus in Aquarius, you must be pretty young still, right? Give yourself some time. You'll grow into your own expression.  IP: Logged |

I am ALL that you described but my MOON Squares PLUTO and things get soo complicated like..Oh my God,one minute I can be crying rivers(i usually cry when i'm really mad)and the next second I can be an ice berg that doesn't feel anything at all.@amelia28

^^ That right there. This is the biggest issue I have with Aquarius Moons. Many of them don't know how (or simply don't desire) to make their nearest & dearest feel special. "Everyone is the same!", they may say. They don't treat you badly, can just be kind of disconnected after a certain point. They are fair, fun & unique people who do treat people equally. In friendship - this thinking may work! But your "Loved One" is *not* equal to some stranger on the street...or on the same level as some cool friend of yours. Nope! If Aquarians (who battle this issue) can get *that* under control, they're all good in my book! We all have our things to work on! -Brother

Gurl, let me tell you what I have. Moon square Pluto, Moon square Mars, Moon opposite Sun. I KNOW what you're talking about. With people you get to know and like you'll have no trouble learning and experiencing all kinds of emotions believe me. You don't need to worry about it.

5 planets in air signs.
It's not hard for me to express my feelings.
I've always been the first person to say I love you.Air signs are actually suppose to be the communicators, they can easily express how they are feeling into words. It's very easy for a libra and gemini so expressing their feelings, they'll usually tell you how much they like you. Aquas are usually more detached but when they do feel strongly about someone they want them to know!!!! The tricky thing about air signs is do they really mean it?
Do they really think you're beautiful or are they just saying it
Are they actually in love with you, or do they like saying I love you to people they somewhat like lol.. Maybe there's some saturn restricting you?
Venus square saturn etc?
being afraid of expressing feelings because you're afraid of rejection.

Actually,I do have Venus sextile Saturn but it's not about my EROTIC emotions.It's about friends and family and I rarely feel something strong for anybody.You'll see people that met two weeks ago hug and you'll never see me hug a friend of over five years,it's rare but when I do I REALLYY really mean it  I don't know if air people don't really mean what they say or if they don't know whether they mean it. You left out in the original post that you are a sun cancer and mercury cancer and you informed me in a follow up to my comment that you have moon square pluto so this changes things like I said it would in my earlier comment.I would say you definitely have an emotional side and would say you struggle with it. I do belief what you said about also being cold but I wouldn't say you are aloof all the time with a sun/mercury cancer and moon square pluto regardless of having a lot air your sung sign and moon aspects are very important and in your case will result in emotional struggles and an intense nature and perhaps the air influence will be the key on helping you find ways to deal your emotional struggles and intense nature positively. I can relate I am a sun virgo with moon in pisces and they oppose each other. I can be super intellectual and objective and even cold at times and be super emotional and filled with compassion at others. I have accepted my moon square pluto but it makes my life a little hard around women that are jealous :$
My relationship with them is always a little unexpected,for ex. we can hang and have fun on Mondey and the next day they wont want to talk to me at all and I don't even bother to ask the reasons,don't care. (This is what happens when I get involved with scorpio girls)IP: Logged |

Iris do you have any moon-saturn stuff? Saturn in aqua too, no? If its near your moon you may have some emotional reticence. Saturn constricts, and slows down in a sense. Maybe something with saturn hitting your 4th house or something in cancer? I feel like we have some similarities in our energies, I have a cancer sun, leo rising, air moon (libra), and venus/mars conj. (Virgo).. pluto aspects a lot in my chart- sun, jupiter, mercury, Asc., neptune, uranus, NN/SN... 12th H cancer sun is reeeally emotional. You're combining cancer and Pisces, remember! And with moon/pluto, emotions are definitely unexpected and hard to navigate. The air moon is probably good for you, can you imagine if it were in Pisces??
Also, have you always felt detached and like its hard to grow feelings? Saturn is going through Scorpio, your 4th house... squaring your moon... maybe the saturn transit is affecting you. What do you think? I know some Aquarians who can be very cold on the outside, regarding feelings. The emotional realm is not familiar to them at all. It might be a defense mechanism for acknowledging feelings that might make them think would take control over them. Aquarius wants freedom, to fly... Emotions pull you down, like the unpredictable and uncontrollable tides of the ocean (not in a negative sense necessarily). It's like you're part fish and part bird basically. IP: Logged |

Yeah, Pluto influence can do that. And in a far more profound level than Mars could ever poduce. Just be careful to not fail to notice other people's feelings because of your intense inner turmoil. Most people don't have your experiences and you'll be measured with their standards, not yours. Not saying you would, but you should be a bit wary anyhow. IP: Logged |
