Hmmm, that's a good question! I guess first I would need to find the significance of the house your SN is in, what role does it play?
If it's important then yes possibly it would help, but I think the NN house would add just as many issues as the SN house would help with! It's just confusing!

I kind of think the house is only where you focus the scorpio NN energy, so in my case it would be focused security, so I don't act out taurus as part of my life path but I do focus the probing, intense, ever changing energy of our scorpio NN on helping me gain security and create a stable structures life.
It's a hard concept because normally security is gained by consistency and my life path is to learn how to make constant change being me security.
Pretty much the more things change the safer I feel? Maybe??
I'm not sure...what do you think?

Unless we think about it this way, which I think has already been said somewhat but the SN is basically what we've acquired from the past. The TOOLS and SKILLS we have so with Taurus we have good money skills, sense of security and common sense aha :P This lifetime is the chance to use those to gain more experiences to gain more skills. That's how I understand reincarnation in the most basic sense. I wonder if its not so much about push and pull as it is just learning. I know that's been said before but with there being a lot of strange and gloomy things being written about this online, I think we end up thinking about it in that similar way.
I remember being freaked out when I read about it and it said that I was basically going to end up alone on my deathbed like this German actress did (I've completely forgotten her name... *facepalm*).
I mean, life can be unfair and difficult for any placement really. And the signs and planets are only representations of what happens down here. They're not the cause. Plus, many many people born within 6 months of you or so will have the same nodes. It won't be the same for everyone.
I've been thinking about this a lot and I wonder if how we get to our NN is more subconscious. I mean, whatever you do in life, you will always be learning stuff, your views will shift and you can't control everything anyway. And in the end, in hindsight, is where you'll end up recognising your NN and how you got there. Maybe. What I'm saying is basically, like a hippy- go with the flow. If you believe in reincarnation then you'll know that the soul, before it reincarnated in this life will have already chosen its life path because it knows what it still needs to learn. And so the things that need to happen for the soul to learn, will happen.
It's just a thought anyway. I'm just an amateur, I may have missed the point, but it was good to get it out there. I banged my head on my side-table this morning getting out of bed. I will have lost several thousand brain cells, so don't be too hard on me :P

P.S. There are some nice things about Scorpio NN. Scorpio is all about transformation. This is the life to release the sh*te and spread our wings. There was a nice little explanation somewhere relating the Phoenix to the sign of Scorpio.

Something I have noticed while looking up Scorpio NN people on Astrotheme is that the person with Scorpio NN is usually eclipsed by someone else. Like if there are two people who do the same thing, the Scorpio NN person will be the lesser known person.

Has anyone with scorpio NN noticed they are eclipsed by someone else?

That makes sense scorpio is a more private sign, introverted, preferring the dark of the 8th house!
It's not a sign that wants fame it just wants to be quietly respected/worshipped! Lol

@Fruity Looks like you’ve lost too many brain cells.

Just kidding, what you’ve said does make sense *nods* .

Letting go and going with the flow is difficult for me, I just wanna control and change whatever comes in my sight, DAMN!!

@fauxcoat Why are you worried about it ? have you been eclipsed by someone else ?

Have I ever been eclipsed by somebody else? hmm yeah. Do I care? Nope, I’d rather let the person hog all the limelight and do everything from behind the scenes.

Ahaha sorry :P but phew, glad I made a little bit of sense Oh I know the feeling, but I'm trying to not control everything- its a lot less stressy, but its like trying to overcome a bad habit
@fauxcoat I've always been the underdog sort, and always resented it. Maybe its part of the transformation thingy- to not be anymore.

Very nicely said! I think you got the point perfectly and give a little hope where there doesn't seem to be much!

P.s. I hit my head all the time, I swear I have conclusions more than anyone I know! But I have an Aries Chiron so it's to be expected! Lol

If the first NN return happens around 18-19 yrs old, does the person then acquire the NN traits? I noticed a change in myself at that time, but I still felt more like a Taurus. I recently had my 2nd NN return and I am definitely feeling morel like a Scorpio. I feel like I don't even know who I am any longer. This is a terrible feeling. Am I only going to feel more like a Scorp as time goes on? I am having a REALLY difficult time adjusting to the Scorp NN.

I have a few friends with this placement. I think that its only a bad placement if its seen as bad or if theres things in their chart that provoke it to be bad.

It is just that I have very little earth in my chart so this is feeling like I'm leaving shore out on a voyage to sea and I know I won't return to shore. I don't want to loose the earthiness.

My karma is conjunct my AC.....my life has been fated also regardless of me!! Lol
It hasn't always been fun, but I'm guessing the nature of what comes to you is based on your awareness and spiritual growth!
I think karma on your sun is probably a bit kinder because the sun is a beautiful energy, AC is more neutral!
Sounds like you've got some great aspects!!

I don't know why anyone would have anything to whine about with a Scorpio North Node. What's supposedly so much more negative about that than the potential downsides of whichever other sign? Oh noes, Scorpio = wrongbaddarkgrimmustdie? As far as I see it, having a Scorpio NN is awesome. Think of everything you can accomplish and how far you can go with something like that.

"The traditional interpretation of the north node in scorpio is that it gives the individual great stamina and a drive to succeed. The Dragon’s Tail in Taurus indicates sensuality and a material preoccupation. It may also be a sign of physical laziness."

Taurus SN seems wont to stagnate. Who wouldn't want to get away from just sitting around with a shotgun on your knee to keep any pesky neighbours or whoever else supposedly threatening your dear property, values or lawn away from all said property? You got it, it's yours, nobody coming anywhere near it, dammit. And pass me that cake, I'm hungry from all the possessing and sticking to my potentially-unsubstantiated opinions. I got it in my head, it's the truth, and I'm not changing my opinion for anybody. Moo. /Taurus-bull-cow.

Extreme? So's only seeing something to fear about Scorpio NN.

"A tendency to be overly self-reliant and set in our ways, to cling to our possessions (material and otherwise) and habits, to be too fearful of crisis and overly focused on security.

We may fear taking chances and we tend to resist change as well as input from others. We may find ourselves imprisoned by the world of the five senses, and need to learn to fearlessly confront the possibility of crisis and change in our lives. Moving out of the seemingly solid and stable material world can seem intimidating. But clinging to things and people that are either outdated, limiting, or counter to our growth will steer us in the wrong direction. Releasing ourselves from our attachment to doing things our own way will help us find inner balance and satisfaction."

I have little Earth and can be lazy as heck (2H Leo, what'd you expect?) but I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to get to the NN OR the balance between the two Nodes that I'm sure people used to emphasize more so some ten or so years ago. Scorpio is what makes you achieve things. Taurus lets you sit around mooing and rubbing your side against the nearest fence post on the meadow, since you already have all that - whether you need it or not. If you need a Scorpio stinging your foot to have a sudden urge to stampede forward then that's what you occasionally need then. Got you out of your comfort zone and that meadow, didn't it?

Point is more so to start moving on your own already otherwise, so as not to need the more drastic sides of Scorpio to come into play. As for some other NNs outshining Scorpio NNs... how badly do you want to be famous for something, and why is that then?

If talking about past lives maybe the reaction to a Scorpio NN depends on how ready you are to find something deeper for your life this time around, or in general, but since I've always seen it as such a positive it gets very weird to read that people wouldn't have "Yes! Awesome!" style reactions to it. You can pack a punch, you can go however deep or high as you like, you can do whatever you like if you get to it.

Why would you need material/wordly success of a stabilized sort for decades on end? Can't you instead be a success at ONE thing first, for a bit, and when that's served its purpose with you do the next thing. Or two other great things with that, and wohoo those ten other fantastic things still all for you to get to accomplish and to get around to this lifetime? One thing ends, better things come along. What, you want to build the next Exxon? I wouldn't recommend it. Doesn't do a thing for you and you'll still feel unsatisfied or empty when it comes to it.

Isn't it more a case of there possibly not being enough life for everything you could do? So being a Scorpio NN, you move that supposed end of life forward a bit and be awesome some more. Because Scorpio NN can pull off something like that. Although admittedly, I'd more so see Scorpio NN saying toodeloo to this world and moving onto whatever other things waiting to get around to the mysteries and bigger things elsewhere, but hey, maybe you have something still to do around here. I've been talking about one possible way to look at things up there, not something that everyone ends up doing.

Use the Soul, Luke. "Without this sort of destruction and regeneration you will stagnate and have no opportunity to transform in the way that your soul really wants you to." If you're attached to something, of course to most people it'll feel bad if you no longer get to have it. Too bad you don't much get the better suited stuff if you cling to the meadow's fence post and moo as loud as you can to try and make sure nobody tells you about the bigger and greener meadow you'd get to if you bothered to listen to anybody or walk in the grim-looking transport truck taking you there. Or stampeded there through scorpion stings or whatever. This isn't about anybody in particular, btw, it's just going with the potentially limping metaphors.

Maybe it's my Moon in 8th and Pluto in 4th near the IC, sextile Ascendant, but I'm really not sure what there is to whine about with Scorpio NN. You can do anything.

"The move to the north node in this life though manifests as an instinct to take controlled risks, to not accept things as they are, and to transform, regenerate and refresh. Rather than launching a lifelong plan to build on solid foundations, this time around you are drawn to wipe the slate clean and begin afresh."

"... once the awareness is there that your job/relationship/health/career/ideals is unsatisfactory you are required, on a soul level, to wipe the slate clean and set about creating what you truly want in that particular area of your life."

Anything.

If you ask me, the following sounds more like a horror story than anything you'd want to get stuck doing. Let alone your whole life. O.O "Working 9 to 5, accumulating a sensible savings and retirement account and watching telly on the couch is not going to cut the mustard this time around." THANK YOU, Scorpio NN. THANK God/everything possible I have at least a Scorpio NN if nothing else to make me avoid a fate like that, brrh.

... understand that it’s the non-attachment that the soul needs to experience. This doesn’t mean that you can’t own stuff – quite to the contrary. Pluto represents true and deep wealth that is measured in more ways than by your balance sheet, so there are definite signs of wealth and the power that brings. What you are not to do is become attached to either the actual things you have, or to any sense of self worth that many feel come along with that. You can enjoy then move on. Usually to bigger and better things.

I've quoted from some of the top hits for Scorpio NN, but the last bit is from the following link.

I see your points Keela. I am not saying I am eclipsed by anyone, I just noticed this trend when looking up Scorpio NN people. It is almost like their lot in life is to not shine...to be hidden in some way.

It is just difficult because I enjoyed the earthy influence in my life and I miss it.

What's your Sun sign? Because as I see it, that's more so who you are, not your SN or NN sign, unless they're the same. You're not a Taurus or a Scorpio unless you are one. You just have your SN/NN in one of the signs and it makes up a part of your personality or path and choices. You may feel more drawn to get around to the NN or "fulfilling your destiny" style stuff after certain experiences, but it doesn't turn you into just a Scorpio any more than you ever were.

Not to mention the fact that Scorpio is still a Fixed sign. Depending on what your Earth was so far (aside the Fixed Taurus SN) it may not make that much of a difference. Mine's all flimsy mutable Virgo, so in a way Scorpio has more depth although it's not Earth.

I wouldn't know about shining, but what springs to mind is the difference between an onyx or obsidian in contrast to some (seemingly?) shinier bauble. The stone isn't any less precious just because it happens to be black, and not every shiny clear thing is a diamond either instead of glass. Some people like, others don't. While I've never liked pearls, I acknowledge that they get made underwater and possibly even more importantly, from irritation or a challenge.

One of the pages I glanced through said something about Scorpio NNs wanting a rest this time around. Maybe that's another contributing factor to not having the interest (energy?) to bother with other people's adulation or shining. Of course I fail on that front as well since mine's in 5th house, re-enforcing the Leo sides and possibly having to get visible sooner or later.

Do you have anything with your MC, 10th house or other earth-sign houses to potentially give you more clues to your particular equation? What does your Pluto do if you're not at ease with the NN? I don't need you to necessarily answer to me, just throwing out things that come to mind.

If you miss an earthy influence there are all sorts of grounding exercises out there that may help, too. I always considered the Nodes more a thing where you keep the good sides of the SN even if you strived toward the Northern end, but there are many views about how they work or how to go about with them.

My sun sign is Libra. Libra doesn't go well with Scorpio. I have Mercury in Virgo and Vertex in Virgo, Chiron in Taurus. That is it for earth influence. I just feel this overriding emotion taking over my life more and more as time goes on.

As someone who described herself as a Vulcan back in the day, I'm not a stranger to emotions stirring things up and not being what you're used to. I do however believe that even if you do get more emotional for a certain time, once you have a better handle on them and why you're emotional if you weren't before, that side balances out as well. Or gets easier to handle through practise. They say it's not good to repress emotions for sure, although I don't know if you meant you'd rather not have any or just your previous levels.

Am I right in thinking that Chiron is reasonably close to your SN? I would have thought Chiron in Taurus would create certain problems with that sign though, not a preference for it over Scorpio NN. All I have is Merc + Venus in Mutable Earth but you're right in that despite a certain square, Leo probably vibes better with Scorpio than a Libra. My Sun is in 2H though so that possibly works in the same regions. Do you have anything in 2H, and where is its ruler?

Libra's solstice point sign is Pisces - although IQ back in the day tied Libra to Taurus via Venus (and Scorpio to Aries instead of Aquarius) - so while both combos mix Air with Water, I'm not sure how you vibe with Antiscia/S. points. I have tons of them in my own chart so even my DC contacts go through its S. Point in Scorpio, not the regular DC.

If you have any relevant transits or progressions going on, maybe those can suggest when you'd start feeling more at ease with a Scorpio NN side. Maybe there is or has been something else also going on that exacerbates the way you feel. For a Libra I imagine that regaining balance is what's wanted if something disturbs it with too much emotionality or something. Maybe diving into what you're apprehensive about or against would help as an experiment? If you get upset then feel upset, but if you have something to provide you joy and happiness or more uplifting emotions, feel those as well? Try for a week, or every weekend or whatever feels comfortable until you feel better equipped to try more. Remember I have 8h (Pisces) Moon and you probably something entirely different that doesn't feel at ease with trying emotions out even in private. Just throwing random ideas out.

It was clear from the start though (also with whichever other post you had that I misplaced) that you need time to adjust and think or feel things over. We hear you, but may not know what to suggest to ease your lot.

It's not an easy node to live with.

I've Scorpio NN in my 1st house, Jupiter in Scorpio 1st house and Pluto in Scorpio 2nd house. So, I feel its weight in my life and personality (even more than my Leo sun and Libra rising). I got a strong drive for sensual/sexual pleasures, my relationships until the present have been quite difficult (being cheated several times), once I'm stuck with a man I can get very jealous with the time, possessive.

Funny, I was just thinking about how rarely I think about my NN.

Yet, when I look at others' charts, I consider it a huge issue.

Then this got bumped

I feel like I'm constantly dying and being reborn. Things usually happen to 'kill' me and then I just get recycled over and over. Also living with bipolar is representative of that. With Scorpio being a water sign, emotional and spiritual cycles are key.

I have my NN in eight house and in Scorpio
Also conjunct Pluto... and opposite mars... and direct.
Also involved in a yod with sun at the apex, yea!
I think Karma/Fate/Whatever REALLY wants me to use that NNode...

Thankfully I think Jupiter also in eight and in Scorpio alleviated lots of the things that could have happened to me.
I don't know how to fully express how it affected me.
Sometime the only picture coming to mind is that of a surfer expecting his daily ride, but ending up against a tsunami... and still managing perfectly, without even a hitch.

I know I could have died once or twice due to utterly stupid mistake, but managed out of it barely scared physically and not even slight trauma mentally.
Sometimes, life itself decides that enough time has been spent in my comfort zone and just topple me off gods know where so abruptly, and into such a mess that, for a short while, that the only possible reaction I can have is just : "What the hell happened?"
Yet, despite the mess happening, despite the fact that I could have had no way of knowing what to do, it always feel like I unconsciously know exactly how to make the best of the situation and use the exact right tools, no matter how little I was capable of using them beforehand.
Like trying to dance and failing miserably until the day of the competition, where everything you couldn't do, you know mastered and manage to produce flawlessly and gracefully.
