...by men aspecting your Mars with their Venus (especially hard aspects: conjunction, opposition, square) and tend to pursue them?

I've discovered the only men I pursued where having Venus opposite and conjunct my Mars. I was very direct, Bond girl-type with them, making a pass, while I'm generally very "feminine" in my approach. I also felt like jumping on them all the time

If not, what aspect does it for you?

Hehehehe, not quite or maybe but shhh;P
I mean, if they are hmm attractive to me it's because their Venus/Mars are aspecting my Venus/Mars conjunction. This conjunction is giving me pushy air in love or friendships. So i cant tell if it's because of their Venus on my Mars. When i see someone that i like i "go hunting"
I tend to pursue all of my love victims

Nope, I'm definitely a trine/sextile kind of woman ^^
My Venus and Mars are square by sign (not by aspect).
I think my Mars wants peace

I have a trine with this guy I'm going for right now. He has Venus trine my Mars. I would say I'm head over heels for him and he does turn me on. But I don't actually like go after him directly. I prefer more of like an indirect approach. Sometimes, I do direct approaches, but it is rare. I tend to think about what would happen first if I do try to pursue him. Mars in Libra could really do that to people -_-

I am not very turned on by the hard aspects.
My ex had his Venus in Libra exactly squaring my Capricorn Mars. He pursued. He's an awesome guy and I still care about him - but I was never very attracted.
He seemed too 'laid back' for me... and not very passionate.

Aries Venus usually bothers me.. even though I have an Aries Sun. They are not really my type.. They're too childish.

Cancer Venus is sweet. This is the one placement I really love in Cancer. When a guy has Cancer Venus opposite my Mars we have a very affectionate/loving connection. It's not very sexed up but it's totally sweet.
I also feel like I'm the initiator - but everything I do is appreciated by them... They make me feel very comfortable.

Capricorn Venus - unfortunately I haven't attracted any that I know of... There is a singer I like with Cap Venus - but I wouldn't say it's an earth shattering attraction... It's just a 'nice' - he's my kind of person... sort of attraction.

The placements I am most turned on by are Venus and/or Mars in early Scorpio sextile my Mars (and conjunct my Pluto in Scorpio). This just perfect in every way. No one understands me like Scorpio (on this level).

The trines don't do much for me.. Virgo & Taurus... I find them good looking but I wouldn't say they turn me on.

I can imagine I'd be. I don't have much experience with Venus Scorpio males. It's strange you'd think I'd have the venus opposite my mars but its actually been the sign over that I've been with. And that sign is Venus In Gemini which matches up with my airiness and ASC Gem.

The short answer [not really]...

And then there's the long-winded version [haha]!
I kinda feel bad for the guy who has his Venus in square with my Mars-Pluto (they are very tightly conjunct 3h Scorpio Scorpio decan, Aries duad, Aries 8h).

I mean, I can tolerate the opposition, but it doesn't make them especially appealing for me chemistry-wise. And, even when they do have that direct opposition, they have the benefit of being within trine of my 4th house (Sag/Cap) stellium involving my angular house rulers, and to a wider extent the ASC/DSC axis itself, which would count for something I'm sure. I do have a lot of compassion for those who aspect my Moon there in the last decan, but then we are dealing with opposition by sign not degree... and, romantically having Saturn-Eros and Ishtar opposing them, that makes it an entirely different game than Mars-Pluto opposition.
>.<; Also, I'm raising one of these opposition critters, my son has his Venus in opposition with my Saturn. (Not a turn on!) lol yikes

The encounters I've had or relationships I've attempted to those with their Venus in square, I really feel sorry for, honest I do. It's almost impossible for me to be "sweet" with them. I don't like that energy and haven't learned how to work with it for any length of time. So the relationship usually ends quickly, and with little remorse on my end. T_T

I'm sure the conjunction would be interesting, but I have no real experience with it yet. I suppose that could work out well (maybe?); given the many other aspects a Venus cnj my Mars-Pluto would bring, there should be some form of chemistry. But, then again... they'd still be in opposition with Juno. lol I wouldn't count on it lasting! Besides, one or the other of us would probably snuff out the other with our insufferable power/control issues. XD (I could imagine it happening...)

Now soft aspects are nice I think, I'm alright when they sxt/tri but that again is possibly owing more to other aspects that support that synastry, like my early Cap stellium and Psyche/Juno, or my ASC/DSC axis.

Then there is the odd chance that they would have Venus-Mars conjunct and in aspect together with my Mars-Pluto. That actually frightens me more than anything else! My only actual lengthy experience involving someone who had Mars-Venus in aspect with my Mars-Pluto was a sxt Virgo 12h. I try not to prejudice myself against aspects in others, but I am still wary to this day (not just from my own experience with Ven-Mars, but others over time) that Mars-Venus natals often have either the looks or charisma or both that draws others to them very easily and frequently, and if they aren't "evolved" (or faithful) enough, they do seem liable to go astray on their lover(s). >.<; I would be conflicted dealing with a Mars-Venus, I think. But, I definitely wouldn't actively pursue them. I'd bury my head in the sand or run for the hills is more likely... like any good Earth triplet might in these situations of awesome doubt. haha

What does work for me?

Easy... (I mean harsh)...
Mars square Mars. In more than half of my relationships I've had Mars squares, both tightly and by sign... whether it is because I've become accustomed and I dare say, addicted, to that energy or a less deliberate temptation exists, I will do the pursuing if someone who possesses this tense aspect with me catches my fancy. I don't mind being the provocateur if they seem worth that trouble. I don't like when things come easily to me, I'm Mars-Pluto, and I'd like to fight for something, the "what's mine, is mine"-sorta deal -but- with a need to legitimately earn that right ("is that you 8h Aries?")... not just that but I have one of those dull charts with no natural harsh afflictions of its own to work out. So, I seem to seek those/find those in my relationships with others. I find it fulfilling to at least mentally (3h) conquer a situation or rival. And, the Mars squared mine is like that, they're my rival and the spoils of war bound in one being. Just ask my husband, luckily he gets it. lol I'd have scared him off if he didn't enjoy the same dynamics I do. Although he is more about the adventure and the victory at the end of a hunt (like a good Centaur with that Seagoat's Venus would), and I'm more interested in perpetual tension and chaos. It keeps things fresh and interesting... Happy wife, happy life. I'm a nightmare when I get bored... (I do get bored though, so does he... it's all that Sagittarius going on though.)

The one good thing in our synastry that defines our marriage, the glue (if you will), is the combination of our angular rulers, his Venus, and then the crowning glory of Mars square Mars. But, we have more than just Mars square Mars, right... it's my Mars-Pluto cnj his Saturn-Pluto squared to his Aqua Mars (cnj my Vtx) in the 5th house. And, of course his Venus sxt my Mars-Pluto/his Saturn-Pluto combined into stellium from his Sun-Neptune to my Jupiter-Neptune (to that Venus of his on the AP) to my Mercury and his Mercury... spanning the last 8 degrees of Sagittarius into the first 6 of Capricorn, with various other bodies and mp's thrown in. It's not perfect, he has no aspect with my Venus... it'd be nice if he did though. (can't have it all, eh?)

We despised each other when we met... sometimes we still do. ^^; He has a vicious Jupiter-Moon late in Scorpio that opposes my Moon, and sxt my Sun. He can go from light-hearted teasing to throwing everything /and/ the kitchen sink at me in a heartbeat. His competitive streak knows no bounds, he can turn the most trivial game into a full blown life-or-death battle. He, he... (lesigh) ~keeps it interesting. lol We're in no way, shape, or form soulmates or anything like that! haha hellz no! But, we manage to fit. And, it's been working for us fairly well, I think. His anger can come out of no where, and he is a lot more sensitive than I am to judgement and criticism... (no really... a lot... Sun in Leo decan? idk - his ego is through the roof though, too bad it's as sturdy as a suspension bridge with no wires~ haha) He has a lot of vices in how he handles his anger, and his wandering eye. His Mars is still teaching him to deal with restraint (the Saturn square with it in his chart). I have no issues with self-control, when my eye wanders or my temper goes... it's because I let it. ^^; I'm no angel either. So we fit. We've taught each other a lot in this way through these years.

[TLDR]
So it's easier to say for certain, Venus aspects to my Mars do very little for me, but damn that Mars to Mars action gets under my skin! haha *smacks the nearest Aqua Martian and runs away* :PpPp

Interesting.

"and I'm more interested in perpetual tension and chaos."

Great description for Scorpio placements

"It's not perfect, he has no aspect with my Venus... it'd be nice if he did though. (can't have it all, eh?)"

Have you checked the "minor" aspects to your Venus?

-Venus conjunct Venus
-Mars trine Pluto
-Venus sextile Jupiter

Well it depends on other things, but for the most part Heck Yes! I love them!
Mars is my DSC ruler so having it activated in synastry is pretty important to me. I'm not a big fan of Mars - Sun/Moon harsh aspects (needless drama with very little attraction/payoff) and Mars/Mars seems like a roller coaster and I'm not always in the mood to handle with care. Venus is effortlessly sexy to me and it's very skilled at dealing with the abrasiveness of my Mars. (at least compared to the Moon). My ex had his Venus opposite my Mars and the attraction was pretty strong and while the synastry somewhat supported this I think the most important thing he was one of the guys that
actively played out his Venus (instead of just projecting it).
Conversely, I used to work with a guy whose Venus was conjunct my Mars and I've never felt attracted to him (though he was an objectively good looking guy and he was physically my type). Of course that wide Saturn/Venus square that he had natally probably didn't help matters.

Mars/Moon is meh

I'm with SaturnineMoth. Mars square Mars can be insanely attractive on a sexual level.

Mars-Moon is like one person is constantly bit*ching and moaning and the other person is frustrated because they don't have enough independence. Sometimes - usually when Mars is hurt or sick - the Moon provides help, comfort and healing - so it could work well in a parent/child relationship.

Haha I got the conjunction with my boyfriend (and I am mars) and hell yeah I could jump him any day, all day… and I actually also made the initiative, but it's kind of both ways most of the time…

But the downside with this could be that my sex-drive seems to be a bit higher than his in the long-therm:S

Yes!!

My mars is sq my scorpio's venus and I'm very direct with him. He even told me he feels like I'm only interested in the sex :/ but yeah I've been pursuing him and I'm quite aggressive about it!

With my ex, his mars is sq my venus and he was soooo aggressive/direct in his pursuit of me. I often felt he was only interested in the sex!! Lol but the Mars person definitely seems to come on strong, sexually.

I noticed that when I was in a romantic mood, he was in a sexual mood, which was frustrating for me! But now I'm on the other side with my scorp, so now I understand..

I was asking about the trine specifically. Even with trine, the moon is b*tching and mars feel grounded? Are you sure?

I've known 2 Gemini Venus men that I've been shamelessly attracted to. One i didn't really pursue i just didn't bother trying to hide the fact that i was smitten. his Venus was almost exactly opp my mars. The other one though, he was a gem venus/aries mars. I'm an aries venus/sag mars. We never did the deed which is unfortunate bc im sure with all the moon/eros action we had going along with the venus/mars placements we had, things would have been ah-mazing. It was intense from the moment we met and just being in the same room as the other made us both uncomfortable if we weren't touching in some way. Just a hand on my leg while sitting or sometimes as blatant as standing literally joined at the hip, slightly facing the other and if one of us moved the other was never far behind, with an equal movement to keep the connection. I guess the best way to describe it was like gravity, and if i tried to fight it it made me want to throw up lol Looking back on it now im not sure how we ever kept our clothes on

Now then, for all I had to say about that, the way I felt towards the guy whose Mars opposed mine exactly was a million times that. Ugh, I was relentless and shameless. But he adored the attention so it worked and it was an absolutely beautiful union of two people who just genuinely loved each other. Nothing is ever all fairy tales though and nor would I want that. I think the mars opposition gave the relationship something everyone needs: excitement. To my dying day i will never forget this man.
