Like expats, people who teach English abroad, etc.

Do you think that aspects in the natal could point to this? If so what have you noticed?

I've read that uranus - 11th house, sag - 9th house placements may indicate someone who like to travel or someone who lives in countries other than their home countries.

I want to teach English abroad or live abroad (although now I've waited too long and idk what my plans are) but yeah I'd consider myself one of those people lol. Relatively speaking I traveled a lot at a young age and will take any opportunity to, without it I feel restless. Even when I can't travel I find myself often having friends or love interests from other countries...

I'd also say Sag planets, the ruler of my 4th is In Sag...I know that's a cliche answer though it would be interesting to look up more charts...

^I want to teach English abroad too!

I've been thinking about it and doing research for literal years now lol. I'm a freshman in college now though so first I just need to get my degree. But this is definitely my lifelong dream to do this for some years. I can't see spending my life without travelling.

I have Sag Jupiter in 5th, Sag Juno in 6th, and Saturn in 9th

^Same! It's been a dream for years and I've been researching it for a long time too. I've been debating if I should stay here and try to go to grad school and start a career but honestly nah I don't know what I'm doing with that either yet lol. Anyway do you know where you'd wanna go to teach English? And through which organization? I've been thinking Southeast Asia, ideally Thailand...

Also that's cool I have Sag Moon and Vertex in 5th, Sag Mercury and Juno in 6th. No 9th house planets though...

Yeah, I'm just getting my degree for elementary education and calling it a day lol.

And I want to travel to soooo many places but my absolute top place has always been South Korea so I've thought about EPIK/GEPIK. You?

And I have vertext in Sag in 5th too! I JUST came across this woman on YouTube teaching in South Korea and she practices astrology too! Maybe I should ask her about her birth chart lol

Yeah smart idea lol. More school just sounds too exhausting right now especially if I don't know what I'd even do with it...

But that's cool! Honestly I'm not sure exactly but I've looked into programs like CIEE teach and languagecorps... South Korea would be awesome tho. When I lived in another state I had a roommate/friend from there, I'd ask her a lot of questions and she got me to like Kimchi lol.

I majored in Intl Relations so I also know a few people through that who have taken jobs abroad, and it would be interesting to look up their charts but the problem is I don't know their birth times and would feel weird asking after not talking to them in a while lol. So maybe you should ask the woman from YouTube lol it would be fun to see!

Ok wow so I looked up 8 charts of people I know/ am friends with on fb (which is how I know their birthdays but not t.o.b.) who have chosen to live or work abroad. Without knowing houses the main themes that stand out first are Sun-Uranus and Sun-Jupiter, also potentially Jupiter-Moon and Uranus-moon. Besides Sag, Aqua and Pisces placements (not outer planets) are also strong themes.

7/8 have Sun-Uranus aspects, although I was really generous with orbs (up to 11 degrees)

Including semi-sextile as an aspect 7/8 have Sun-Jupiter, otherwise it's 5/8...

The moon could be off of course but Moon-Jupiter and Moon-Uranus were at least strong possibilities for every one of them

I didn't include myself in this but I have Moon trine Jupiter and semi-sextile Uranus, Sun conjunct Uranus (really wide though). Also Aqua Venus and Pisces MC. Sooo anyway sorry that's probably not very informative since houses probably play a big role but just thought I'd share! Lol

Omg! I have Pisces MC too!!!!!!!!

And my tightest aspect in my chart is Sun trine Uranus. I also have Sun Quintile Jupiter less than 1 degree, Moon trine Jupiter, and Moon opposite Uranus :0. Sag rules my 6th house cusp, Aqua rules my 8th and 9th house cusp, and I have Uranus/Neptune in 7th.

And I'm going to get around to asking her but I don't wanna come off like a creep lol.

And your posts are fine! Anything helps and it's cool to come across people with the same interests

Haha nice! I mean I suppose it makes sense but those Uranus and Jupiter aspects really stand out!! And wow cool we have similar placements, Aqua rules my 8th and 9th house cusps too and I have Saturn-NN conjunct Sun in 7th, Neptune and Uranus conjunct Dsc.

Sag rules my 6th house cusp too. So you also have Scorpio/Taurus intercepted in 5th and 11th?

Also yeah I know what you mean, there's not really a smooth way of asking ppl if they know what time they were born lol.

Yup! Are you a Cancer Asc too?!
Lol on a side note with our 9th house rulers in 7th, Uranus in 7th and Juno in Sag we have a high chance of marrying someone foreign

And yeah, I think I just might tell her I'm interested in the charts of people who travel and see where it goes haha. She made a vlog about Venus Rx and things to avoid during that time, so I'm sure she's aware of her birth info and stuff.

Hmm, so maybe Aqua/Sag/Pisces are the main factors for travel/wanderlust?

Yep lol my Asc is 16 Cancer... Haha and I agree there's definitely a chance of marrying someone foreign! I'll take that interpretation over all the doom and gloom normally associated with Neptune/Uranus in 7th or conjunct the Dsc lol.

Also with Juno in 6th and co-ruler of MC in 7th I'd say meeting them through work or working with them in some way is also another possibility...

And I see, yeah I'm sure she would be helpful and excited that you're interested!

Interesting. I didn't know about Uranus in the 11th. Both my ex and I have that and we've lived in several countries together (and separately) and have moved numerous times. I would never call myself an expat though and I don't teach English, though I've lived abroad for almost 20 yrs.

I'm a Sag sun and he is a Leo sun. He has Venus in the 9th. So i'm the foreigner he married. Though I don't see any marrying a foreigner in my chart.

I have nothing in my 9th but it's in Cancer which I was told is good for understand foreign languages and cultures.

Sun/Uranus, I have Sun sextile Uranus my ex has Sun with that half triangle thing Uranus.

I have Sag, Sun, Moon, Merc, Neptune.

Both our H2 are in Sag.

9th house...

I have 9th stellium and I travel a lot.

10th ruler in 9th means your career allows you to expand.

I know another 9th stellium person who's been to 17countries. She's 21

Taught English 3 and half years.
Sag Asc , Merc, Jupiter, Neptune and Uranus.

Transit Jupiter in 10th house. Most satisfying !

It was fun and extremely good. I suppose I was good at it too. I got tired /bored of teaching after that. North Node is Gemini so you can see how at home I felt doing it but now can not see going back to it unless I plan to retire like that when I get very old.

I have travel fair bit and still few countries on the list to visit. I do prefer emerging in another culture and living in foreign culture. I do not see myself in next 10 years though going to extremely exotic location which I would have done 10 years ago unless it was more Gemini way like writing, reviewing, journalism, film, music, etc.

Sagittarius & Gemini, Third and Ninth houses.
Strongly placed Jupiter, Strongly placed Mercury

Sagittarius, Jupiter and the Ninth house deals with Long distance travel and experience of culture and knowledge.

Gemini, Mercury and the Third house deals with short, day to day travel, buses and links

Travelling is one of my strongest passions, can't wait to get the money to go to Egypt and Peru!

Jupiter conjunct Pluto in Scorpio - Ascendant
Squared by Ninth house Mars in Leo.

First house Sagittarius Sun conjunct First house Sagittarius Mercury

The 12th house and Neptune can lead to living and teaching in foreign lands.

Some Uranus - Mars aspects can lead to living in other countrys
