Hi everyone!I have a question- this is regarding orbs during transits (slower moving planets to natal). What orb do you consider an opposition ...I always thought within 10 degrees? Im a taurus sun scorp moon - so, yes i have been going through the saturn opposition to my sun. according to astrodienst, the opposition was officially out of close orb for a bit ( I am 11 degrees ...now with saturn retro at 19 degrees.. i will say its back in orb) However- I have chiron 13 degrees taurus. According to astrodienst I will face the saturn opposition to my natal chiron STARTING at the end of this month, through 2017. that seem to be a very wide orb? no? can someone explain this? I dont understand why the opposition didnt start earlier, at the same time during my sun? and why untill 2017...by then it will be well into sagg. It doesnt state saturn opposite sun will last into 2017. Any explaination would help! IP: Logged |

You will begin to feel a transit when a planet approaches and comes within 3 degrees aspect to your natal planet.Slower moving planets, like Saturn and the outer planets, will typically pass over your natal planet by transit, then retrograde back, and return for a final pass to urge you a second time to take advantage and solidify the energies at play. With Pluto and Chiron you may have additional passes. When it separates from your natal planet, leaving the three degree range the final time the effect of the transit will disappear. So to answer your question directly, use a 3 degree orb for outer planets transiting your natal planet, approaching and separating for feeling the effect of the transit. IP: Logged |
