Topic: NN+Venus Synastry: Can we settle this?

So... I've been reading up some posts on NN + Venus in Synastry and some say that it's the NN who is more in love, others say it's Venus who is more in love, others say the NN ends up hating Venus.... Will this be the thread to settle it once and for all? Looking up cookbook definitions on this synastry aspect talks too much about next life stuff. Who cares about the next life! the node person is always more affected its because the nodes are turning points in our destiny and if a persons planets touch them we see them as turning points in our evolution. the planet person is not so much seeing it that way unless their nodes are affected as well.IP: Logged |

I have a North Node square Venus with a friend of mine.Instant attraction but we'll never settle down into a normal relationship. As far as I can tell our lives take us in very different directions all the time BUT she's one of the few (actually, only) person I'll have 1-4 hour long conversations over the phone with. That's rare for me because once someones out of my physical range I don't keep in touch too well and she's even worse with that (Mostly air, aquarius moon) I also need to say we have strong Mars-Venus contacts, Venus-Venus contacts, and all sorts of things at play that create the attraction so I'm not too sure what the NN sq Venus provides. It probably helps make it a life long contact rather than a one night stand with a coworker. IP: Logged |

Often when node is involved in synastry with your personal planet there is a Karmic debt you need to pay off to the planet person. Whether or not the relation can be carried forward depends on other aspects. With South node conjunction you'll always find, that the planet person drifts away when the debt is paid off.

Nodes are points, not planets. They receive energy but don't emit one. They absorb the planet's energy that touches them but don't return it back.

I love VENUS-NNODE. It's one of the best and most consistent aspects I've had throughout my relationships. It's never seemed negative to me. I also don't buy into the 'who feels it more' black-and-white delineations. It's just never that cut and dried. All factors should be taken into account.IP: Logged |

I agree. South node is the sucker, e.g. with Sun it sucks your ego, with moon your emotions (obviously the sign and house matter as well). But when it comes to north node, it over expands the quality and in a relationship it can made thing pretty unstable, because the desire is never quenched. Especially when Venus is involved it spells cheating unless there are other stabilising elements in chart.

I had my NN conjunct a guy's VenusI ended up losing interest and dumping him quite quickly and suddenly (we had a lot of URanus in our synastry/composite). It has been 4 years and he is still sore about it. I was really into him at the time, though. My last relationship had my Moon on his NN. He could not handle the relationship and even though I dumped him, I felt that he was pushing me away anyway. so, in the case of the NN, I think the planet person is more in love and the NN person is the one who dumps them. The NN represents unchartered territory, so the NN person is said to feel uncomfortable. I've had 2 significant South Node relationships. I was the SN person in one of them, and the planet person in another. In both cases, I dumped the person. IP: Logged |

This aspect has nothing to do with hate or who loves who more.
It's not about karmic debts either. That's an SN thing. When a planet touches your NN you have things to learn from them. When that planet is Venus - they can teach you "how to make a relationship work" and many other Venus-related things. If you're not ready for the lessons... it makes you uncomfortable and it makes the other person feel like you're not meeting their expectations.
So things fizzle out if the NN is not ready to embrace that side of themselves. It reminds me of this saying... lol
