Taurus Sun here. So terrible. My father (Aries) had a major brain trauma rendering him disabled. He was in coma, semi conscious state, for a long time. I lost a relationship with a Cancer male at this time because I was "selfish" and not spending enough time on him. I had my hands full of adult diapers and G-tube feedings and other horrifying things. My job stalled, my whole life feels so STUCK I could scream.

I think the Cancer man was being the unreasonable one.How can you be expected to hold his hand when someone in your life that you care deeply for,is no longer capable of fully functioning by themselves? Come on now.Really?

The Saturn transit only surfaced his need to be fussed over(The Cancer male). That is all.

In your case,the Saturn aspect may have given you an opportunity to express your affection for your father in real terms i.e taking care of him in a very practical "hands on" way. Which wasn't always easy, i am sure.So kudos to you

And as for your job. Do you perhaps think that Saturn was forcing you to find another way of defining yourself(Sun)?

Maybe you were too invested in your job in ways that were unhealthy and it didn't develop your personality? Or the job just was not a great match for you?

Did you consider changing professions after the transit? Perhaps going to a field that will put you into the manager/caretaker position? Or exploit a lot of your personality skills?

During difficult Saturn transits, we need more support than ever.The planet that Saturn touches is being re-evaluated.Our ideas of ourselves-in as far as that planet is concerned- is being challenged.It can feel very stressful indeed.

When I experienced the tSat conjunction to nMars,I felt that I had to do something about my passion for activism(Mars in Libra).

I experienced a conjunction of Venus to Saturn during this year 2014 (very stressful-contrary to popular belief). The transit forced me to look deeper into my natural passions(Venus)and develop those.

Now Saturn will conjunct my Sun in 2017. Bringing to completion the ideas of Mars in Libra,the passions Venus and personality of the Sun.

Mercury conjunct tSaturn will join in later for the practical application(2019).

I have to admit.Saturn transits make me very nervous indeed and I am quickly developing a support group

Taurus sun here. Saturn stopped opposing my sun a few months ago, but a lot of things happened when it did. I'm 17 right now so a lot of my trauma was with my parents and school. My relationship with my mother was SEVERELY strained because she refused to believe anything was wrong with me even though I tried to commit suicide so I began to hate her, money problems, lost contact with my older sister, literally lost all motivation in school and barely attended, struggled with an eating disorder, couldn't walk far because my knees were in severe pain.

As the opposition grew wider, things started getting better. Of course life is still stressful, but many of the burdens on my back were lifted. My parents finally saw how miserable I was and took me out of school (something I am forever grateful for), I am now in physical therapy for my knees and it's going well, my mother and I get along better though I know one day we are going to have to address all of the bad things that happened between us, and money is coming by a bit easier than before.

Still struggling with some things, but I'll be okay. I have a Saturn in 1st coming up conjunct Pluto. I have way more important things to worry about. Saturn transits are rarely ever easy, but when you're near the end, you realize how much has happened and how much you've changed for the better.

Interesting you bring that up. My dad and I had zero relationship before this. I basically hated and resented him. I struggled with these feelings for some time while caring for him, but eventually all that MELTED away. I have such a close relationship with him and my mom.

I think I am in my right profession, BUT I decided to write a book about my experience with my dad. Something that will help others dealing with something similar. So a different calling, in a way?

Anyway, I am very relieved it is almost over. I feel very tried and tested. :-)

Back in August of 2011, I had this lovely little constellation:

tSaturn in 1st House (Libra)
tSaturn opposite Sun (Aries)
tSaturn square Uranus (Capricorn/4th)
tSaturn square Neptune (Capricorn/4th)
tSaturn square Saturn (Capricorn/4th)
tSaturn square Jupiter (Cancer/10th)
tSaturn trine NN (Aquarius/5th)
tPluto conjunct IC (from 4th)
tPluto conjunct Uranus
tPluto conjunct Neptune

As much of a cluster of crap that it looks like, the reality was just as bad. I had just gotten back to the US after living in France for a year or so (tSaturn sq Jupiter), and my mother (note all the 4th house action) had a major health accident that up-ended my entire life (tPluto in 4th). I nearly dropped out of my university course (also tSaturn sq Jupiter) to stay home with her before deciding to instead move her to my (stupidly expensive) university city and basically live in destitution for a while and try to balance everything.

This has honestly been the worst three years or so of my life. I'm a bit scared it's going to get worse, though, as Saturn is inching ever closer to rolling right over my Moon in Sag. :/

As a side note, this is the worst part about having a locomotive-style chart: Planets like Saturn are ALWAYS running over one planet or another. God, I wish my planets were clustered so I could get some peace every now and again!

------------------
Sun -> Aries
Moon -> Sagittarius
Ascendant -> Virgo

I'm a Taurus Sun.

Saturn was hitting my Natal Sun from mid September, through to mid October.(Opposition aspect)

Strangely, it hit my Sun when I started University, I didn't see my parents too often, until 4 weeks later.

Over the past 2 months, Saturn has aspected alot of my personal planets (Except Mercury) and i feel the growth! You have to embrace it!

The Sun rules my 10th house, so I felt like I had a chance to change who I was and how I acted towards people. Especially at Uni, where i didn't know anyone, but I felt really self-confident in making new friends and It was pretty easy. My relationship with my parents feels like it's got alot better, especially with my Dad; It feels like he is really proud of me because i've taken control of my own life. It's strange to see how your parents really are once you've gone through a maturing patch.

It sounds like the rest of you have had a bad experiences, but me? It's been wonderful! Saturn is top notch!
