So I've noticed we all talked about Saturn as the father...

I'm wondering if you relate to your Jupiter as the kinda philosophy your parents taught you.

For example I have Virgo Jupiter... Not the best position but I was taught a lot about being economical and discerning.

I have Scorpio Jupiter. Enough said.

Okay, kidding aside, I learned how to deal with tragedy and forced transformations with some grace and skill...I didn't learn it FROM the 'rents but BECAUSE (in large part) of the 'rents.

But my mother is Scorpio.

Interesting enough, Scorpio was common in many of those who mentored or protected me when I was a child as well. (That would not include my mother.)

Jupiter in Aquarius.. I seemed to have rebelled my whole life. But I've also learned to love myself as a unique person and want to make a difference in the world. My whole life, I've been surrounded with technology as well and tech-minded people.

And also, Jupiter is oppose my Sun.

There are similarities based on the fact that all three of us are Rabbits. Jupiter aligns somewhat with the Chinese Zodiac, so I have the same Jupiter sign as my mother (Aries) and my father's Jupiter was in Pisces, near the Aries cusp.

Both of my parents were humanitarians who spent a lot of time in charity work and would help anyone in need. I definitely inherited these values.

But in terms of religion....I renounced their strict Catholicism at age 13 when I refused to get confirmed and have had nothing to do with the Catholic church since then (except when I attend funerals.) I am totally non-religious, very 9H Jupiter Aries, allergic to complexity.

Would you say Jupiter (philosophy) in Aries (Independence, Warrior, Fighter) indicates someone who would choose their own beliefs?

Robin Williams had this position and he also seemed atheistic (in his comedy at least). He made fun of Episcopalian church before

I think I choose my own beliefs more because of my Uranus-IC conjunction. But the fighting for beliefs is Aries Jupiter, I believe.

My mother tried to revolutionize our parish towards the end of her life...she was part of a nationwide movement to modernize Catholicism. Everyone knew her (I've never been to a larger funeral.) Her approach could be...um, shrill.

My dad had Pisces Jupiter and was much more mellow.

As for me, I have a storied past. After dabbling in agnosticism in my teens and early 20's, I converted to orthodox Christianity, and spent more time than I care to remember complaining about others' doctrines.

Reading my journals from that era, it's like I am looking at a totally different person.

Still, I am Jupiter dominant, and spirituality fascinates me above all things (this ties in with my screen name.) And I do tend to get into arguments with people about religion, though now I'm "fighting" (politely) for a more egalitarian society and a breakdown of the walls that religions erect between people.

Robin Williams is a man after my own heart. RIP

^^^Very interesting!

I have aries moon so I get the Aries energy of jumping from one thing to another. I guess it differs from Uranus energy in that Uranus is willful and is therefore more purposeful.

Jupiter in Leo.

I like glamour, dramatic displays and sparkles and all that cheese. Which is weird because I lead a life that is quite the opposite. And given my chart I should dislike those things, but idk, jupiter trine my moon, I just find those things fun and bright.

My parents' life philosophies don't really suit me. But yeah with jupiter leo my way of life is that generosity never goes unnoticed.

Ohmygod ! Jupiter in Taurus and they (well, my mom mainly) stuffed me with food because they found I didn't eat enough. It was way more than enough, believe me.

Great observation.

I see it a bit differently, that Aries moves on when it's done with something, it has no illusions about what is and isn't working ...then Uranus draws us to the future by lighting up possibilities.

Something like that.

@Peluches: that's funny!

@AriesEagle: cool point!

@Faith: yeah! It's very much explorer but less in the mind like Sag! I think of Aries energy as very hands on.

Jupiter in Sag conjunct Sag. My early background gave me the concept/belief of God-head.

But my Mom has Moon/Neptune opposite. So she was a receptive funnel for it.But she didn't ask questions. She was afraid to.

Its been up to me to find out what "God-head" really is, ever since. In a way that removes all the illusion,

^^ One of my favourite memories with my mother, is of of the time we went Christmas shopping as soon as the mall opened, one morning. We drove through the a huge blizzard, dad driving, I'd been up all night, determined to be up early enough to go.

We ended up in a bookstore, having found something my sister wanted, looking at the comical books, laughing our butts off. We were leaning against each other laughing, and then ended up just sitting on the floor, looking through more. The women who worked there must have thought we were on something.

My Jupiter is in Aries, sextile Venus, trine Neptune and my Midheaven, square Saturn, opposed Pluto. Jupiter in the 5th. It trines mum's Sun, and conjoins dad's Mars/Mercury. My relationship with mum has been troubled over the past four years, but we still have a laugh together - same with my dad.

Jupiter in Aquarius
Jupiter conjunct Sun and Mercury.

My parents are both Cancers and both are very traditional and resist change and fail to spot change before it occurs by then its too late.

I'm male so I don't rebel, I just don't listen.

Ironically, my best female friend is an Aquarius and she comes off as a parent sometimes. She's generally a good source of knowledge and keeps me on track. I suspect she knows what I can and can't do and tries her best to promote me to do what I can do.

She was right when she said I picked the wrong major which should have been earth science, instead of computer science.
I was looking at bios of some well known geologists and there natal charts were generally Taurus/Gemini mixes.
But that's okay I can peruse it as a grad degree which helps ease the certification.

I always learn something new from Aquarius, thats what makes them special to this Gem and even Capricorns with Aquarius placements.

My sister is a Capricorn Aquarius mix and I really learned to be responsible thanks to her. Just growing up and seeing her take command and be in control of the situation.

I hope faith doesn't read that I believe she has that combination.

I find myself and still to this day see myself understanding the changing world better then my parents and others do. Spotting the signs of whats to come next and what to do to avoid catastrophe.

I grew up towards the end of what economists call "the 1990s economic boom/miracle" I was in elementary school reading about the dot.com crash, then September 11 and etc...

So I have change, international competition and the unexpected is inevitable stamped in the back of my mind.

So better to be aware of whats going on now and plan 3-5yrs ahead at all times!!!

What you don't know and what you fail to see may cost you down the road.
