Just wrote a new blog post about how you can use your rising sign and/or planets to "rise and shine." That they symbolize the best way to start your morning, as well as how you behave in the morning.

It's a theory that works for me. Feel free to read and let me know what you think. My blog's in my signature.

This is so cool, and well written. I can relate quite a bit to the Sagittarius rising description. I really hate being housebound for too long unless I'm tired or unwell. I love to get fresh air, sunshine and walks in during my mornings, especially if I can go someplace [like a new walking trail] I have yet to explore. Even in general, I like wandering around on my walks through the city and seeing what new sites or interesting places I can find.

I agree with this, plus having Gemini rising conjunct Mars, I basically like yo do my to-do list before I relax. I can't TRULY relax unless it's done. For example I woke up at 7:00 this morning and got something to eat by 9:00. Even so, I didn't want to eat it til I'd finally picked up my front room. I can live with messiness but it annoys me until I finally clean it.

As a Leo rising, I have to confirm everything that's written there! I like to take time in the morning with boosting myself up, plan out things I'm going to do that day, play some powerful music and pick a good outfit, do my hair etc.

First thing i do in the morning is push-ups and pull-ups then i'm good that fits my Aries sun more than my rising.

Cap Rising lol:

1) Get up super early
2) Make a do-to list for the day if I already didn't make it the day before
3) Check emails
4) Eat breakfast, go to the gym
5) Head to work

Profit?

So what you said was spot on- good job!

Taurus rising advice is pretty good.

I spent a month working on a family farm and every day the entire staff would meet in the kitchen, talk, play music, and eat at 5-6 AM, and at 7 we'd pick our objectives for the day.

Another Taurus rising and I would always be the ones to volunteer for weeding. Something about ripping weeds was therapeutic for her and I. We'd do it for like 6 hours even though we were always free to pick our labors for the day.

I miss that farm. Acoustic music, organic food, and dirt. Then swimming, singing, and other sports before and after dinner

My boss during my undergrad years was a Taurus sun and he loved gardening. He was probably an ASC by the looks of him.

My Libra ascendant is partial to sunsets and loathes sun rises.

I am a Virgo asc with Mars rising and try to exercise first thing in the am. I also need to wake up feeling as my day will have a purpose of sorts. I need to accomplish something during the day, or "serve", for me to be able to feel relaxed and at peace later on the evening.

My fiance is a Pisces asc with Venus rising and he needs solitude in the am, need to be able to be alone with his thoughts. He is also big into "grooming" himself well before leaving house.

Mmm I love the sound of this. My dream is to move to Vermont and have a mass amount of land for me to grow food, explore, entertain and relax in. Also, a view of the sun rise and set is important. Taurus Jupiter Rising. I like having at least an hour, after getting ready, to eat and read or watch something interesting. Lights are on and warming up the room. I've learned to chill and not plan out ever part of my day because something usually goes wrong ifI do

Good to know the descriptions are spot-on for just about everyone. Goes to show just how accurate this astrology thing is.

I've got Neptune rising in Capricorn. So, a mixture between getting things done and drifting on my own wavelength works for me. My work is creative, so the planet and the sign blend pretty well. My favorite way to start my day is by listening to music (Neptune) as well as getting my writing done (Capricorn), usually one after the other.
