This is relevant for Jupiter, Neptune and possibly the 12th/9th houses too...

So I guess there's been some hype over this lately so I finally watched "The Secret" last night and kind of felt like yeah ok I've always known this intuitively on some level... Back when I first got a facebook and people still put quotes on their profiles my only quote was something like "the universe is metaphysical, it gives what one expects".

Sag has the vision (literally or otherwise) and positivity to make things happen whether they're consciously aware of what they're doing or not. So how does this work with Pisces/Neptune??

Once Neptune started transiting my moon (and Jupiter was going through my 12th house around the same time) I basically started manifesting my worst fears.. Terrible relationship problems, took a 180 with school and started doing poorly (even though I'd earned a scholarship for my grades so it's not like I was incapable), social isolation, drinking a lot, no money, etc...

Um on the plus side I've become more "spiritual" I guess? And watching that documentary was still an epiphany moment cause even though I've become more and more aware of the LOA (visualizing something and having it show up out of nowhere, "asking" the universe for something and then receiving it) I thought I was maybe just going a little bit insane lol and hadn't really heard it articulated that way yet.

Sorry for the long post but just wanted to hear thoughts from Sag or Pisces people on the LOA... People sell all sorts of books and classes and stuff on it, but do you feel like you just naturally implement it in your life without even trying? If anything it seems Pisces/Neptune is waaaay more capable of effortlessly manifesting things, but it's also difficult to face the Pisces/12th house darkness and confusion while not getting stuck in a negative mindset..

Also sorry I've been really flakey and all over the place here lately (another problem with this transit lol) and there are a couple threads/people I still really need to get back to.. Once I have some time after work tonight I'll be back to respond..

I'm a sag, and when I watched the secret I felt as though it was info that I already new, but I still watch YouTube videos about it from time to time when I need a boost, plus they have some good tips on staying positive that I didn't know about. That's the thing with LOA, it's the continuous positive attitude, which is much easier for a sag to maintain.
Water signs have trouble keeping a positive mindset, imho, and it makes sense because they are most reactionary to their emotions.
My daughter I'd a pisces, and I made her watch the secret with me, and for 2 days she was extremely positive, but then the first bad thing that happened she used as proof that LOA doesn't work, and went back to the gloomies.
She definitely manifests some unfortunate things to her life bc she is constantly talking about them, posting about them, and expecting them to happen, so they do.

Ok I'm a sag and mostly Jupiter with natal Neptune squaring moon. I empathize with you as I am the same way as you are with your transit. It takes a lot of work to do anything and I feel lost in my spiritual dream world much of the time. I often feel like I'm going insane with my 'talking to the universe' but I forget that it actually does help.

It's interesting that you bring up the LOA because this has been on my mind lately. Right now Saturn is squaring my Mars in the 1st and it seems like every single little thing is working against me, which is something that I would normally *never* say and I don't really believe it. But that's how it feels. So now I feel like I have been in a cycle of pessimistic thinking and am definitely drawing some of the negative events that have happened lately. BUT I am no longer lost in a dream world, I'm very much in reality and working harder than ever. I think I've actually never worked hard compared to this. And this is normal for some people..?! Sheesh. I work so hard and reality still sucks. See how it's changed me already?! Lol

But you're right it is deeply ingrained in Sags. That's supposedly what we're all about. Despite being preoccupied with reality, I do still feel an innate sense of the universe 'being on my side' and I meditate with crystals and herbs every night/visualize just because that's something I do. It is pretty natural, I feel incomplete if I don't end the night like that. It's basically the only thing that keeps me going.

And yes the Neptune square makes it easy to 'slip' into very unhealthy patterns, especially since I often have had problems distinguishing reality from my imagination. And I'm an introvert so I don't tell people what's going on, I just bottle everything up and drown in Neptune and nobody knows what happened to me. But I've mostly grown out of this. It was huge for me up until about April of this past year.

I've never seen the Secret but people have told me to watch it. I feel like I would get bored! Lol (I hate watching things)

For what it's worth I have a Sag stellium.

But I wanted to say that while I seem to have an aptitude for magic (both the "coinci-dance" and more "special effects" kind--but experiments with prayer turned out very poorly for me which is why I don't pray, I'm actually scared to, though I have some theories on why this is so for me but that's beside the point) I've found that generally speaking when I expect the worst I get the best and when I expect the best I get the worst.

To some extent it could be explained that when I expect the worst I prepare for it and stay alert and thus don't blunder into it unprepared. Yet the INCREDIBLE luck I've had at times when I expected doom goes well beyond that.

That aside, I thought I'd remind you of this thread again:

Manifesting Patterns

Sagittarius was the conscious side of Jupiter, while Pisces was the unconscious side. The "field" is always at play in our life whether we're aware of it or not. What LOA teaches is to take control and steer things in a direction we want. Pisces/Neptune does the same, but from an unconscious/unwitting side through their daydreaming and fantasies. Thus, both Sagittarius & Pisces are living lives they've created. Sagittarius is more aware of the part they play, while Pisces is often unaware. Nonetheless they're both experiencing a reality they've individually created.

I wrote about the LOA in another thread. How I wanted to manifest something that i have been wanting for so long.

I don't want to speak too much about it. As I feel I may "talk it away" LOL.

I find the concept simple when I take one phrase and extend it ; examining it thoroughly and putting that into real life.

The one that I work most with is"Most people dedicate a majority of their feelings to what they are NOW observing". This is very true for me.

Sag Sun-Jupiter-Neptune conjunct.

I like this. ^

Anyway, Pisces Sun trine Jupiter, it's second nature.
But it's what I need to happen, not necessarily what I want,
I don't believe that everyone should get what they want all the time, so if thats what LOA is trying to sell then im not backing it.
I think that's self serving and unhealthy and completely unworkable in a practical sense.
But the amazing things I've drawn to me, with just a thought, just a feeling that this is what i need the most at this moment in time.
And it happens. It appears. Thats amazing.
In fact, I think the less a person wants (in general), the better.
