Usually you have 2 types of people when it comes to jobsA job need to be my passion A job just needs to get me money Which signs and planets is going to dicate this?
My saturn aspects my 10th house My 10th house ruler is mercury (as is my chart ruler) Mercury is in my 5th house with my sun. My career has to be a passion. Im being pushed towards a cush 9-5, but the tasks that job require, there is no creative drive with it. I mean, I put a creative flare on my jobs. As a teen I worked at subway and had my own way of creating my sandwiches. Fold the meat like this, angle the cheese this way...

I think everyone WANTS a passion and the chart can help you find yours imoI just found mine with Astrology but other pursuits were stepping stone and help me with Astrology such as counseling and natural health, both of which were my main careers before finding Astrology. That is my journey, anyway xx ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Everyone has a passion, yes. I'm thinking more like my dad has a nice job, boring and he complains how much it sucks, but at the end of the day it allows his to have expensive passions/hobbies. He pushes me towards this type of job but if I'm going to be doing the same thing every day I need to have some driving passion. He does not understand this and views jobs in a completely different light IP: Logged |

I would say that you are prolly more creative( strong Neptune/ and or Uranus and other creative markers in the chart) and he is prolly more earth bound such as a strong capricorn and Saturn, for example. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? A lot of the Earth Dragons I've met - 88' borns... are strongly focused on making money, and will put all of their passions second to that. $ is their first and foremost goal in life.Maybe the Earth element in general... can point to this. I'm curious - What is your dad's Chinese sign and element? IP: Logged |

I'm a bit of both...maybe freedom is the important word. I'll do what I'm passionate about for free when I must, any income is a bonus to that. Otherwise a job is just another chore, though I like it to be something of value, and I like it when I make a difference. But my thing is I can't do fixed schedules, I have to pretty much work my schedule as I choose, and knowing I could get paid more if I didn't doesn't convince me to change that.I'd say that's my 5H Sag stellium (moon, Mars, Uranus, Neptune), though perhaps my Leo ASC (which I'm sure interacts with the 5H energies) pushes me that way since Leo can be worried about rank...and even as a volunteer at a library I got really mad when I PROVED my worth (and got a smoking hot reference out of it, too) but was ordered to take a drug test...I considered it insulting which was probably my Leonine energy (my Libra and Sag also made some ethical arguments over what they were doing, too). Working for myself I'm much less likely to have to put up with that which my Leo finds insulting (or Libra unfair or Sag unethical), and I also like how many really want my help, services, and products (though it's not all Leo, it gets countered by other aspects, but I don't feel like explaining that). 6th house is the day in-day out grinding: The stuff that you simply “must” do. Like it or not. The 2nd/5th/11th is most concerned with “passions”/ideals:The things you actually love doing.Where is your 6th house cusp ruler? And does the ruler coincide with the rulers of the houses mentioned above? Because that would suggest that you can infuse your passion in your work. I’d imagine that if your 6th house ruler is in square aspect to the 5th. You would find it difficult to tolerate what you do: Almost like you just will not stand it if your passion is not in it. Such a square would force you to just take your hobby (5th) and make a living out of it(6th): Whether you become a millionaire or just benchmark, will not matter much. So long as you are doing something you love. This is what I would call a “artist who devotes their life to their craft” aspect. Nothing else matters but their creativity and expressing it. The square energy has them “dare” fate to tell them that they can’t live off doing what they love. If there is a 4th house ruler “but what will we eat?” in opposition to that square. You may force yourself to do the corporate thing and compromise a little.

That is an awesome quote! I also like the simple one "I work hard but I play hard" I live by this. My career is my one of my biggest passions, I knew what I wanted to do since I was 13, studied accordingly at school, went to university then did a post grad. I love my job and I think it shows to those people I work with. I have no planets in 10th house but my MC there in taurus and SN but I think having saturn on my ascendant has been beneficial in my chart in respects to keeping me grounded, entrepreneurial, studious and making me want to make the most of my career.
