What is the rest of your chart like? I like all kinds of places, as long as it's open and natural. I like to visit the city, but don't really miss living there - we went to Columbus in April, and whilst it was nice visiting, I was so happy to be back amongst the trees, and more wild, open territory. In California, we had the best of both worlds: ocean one way, mountains the other. Redwoods all over.

I'm a Cancer Sun and I hate 4th of July, flags, patriotic crap, Summer and everything to do with heat. My favorite season is Winter and my favorite month is October and I love cold, snow and ice. But I do love ocean though, everything marine. Snow and ice is just another form of water anyways.

Pisces loving water is not inaccurate, it's just in your chart or personal experience you like something different. Most Pisces like all natural environments, not just water. But I know Sagittarius people tend to like mountains, hiking, outdoors adventures, wide-open environments. Some Gemini people like skylines, airy vistas, cliff-sides, sky rises, Mount Everest etc. but all varies. I'm a Gemini Moon and want to go on a Hot Air Balloon ride.

Is Uranus in aspect with your Sun?

What is going on in your 4th and 9th house? The 4th house where you feel at home and what you like to be surrounded by. The 9th house travel, venues, and things you like to see and learn about. The 5th house hobbies, attachments to things you enjoy doing, and generally what makes you happy.

"...I'm a ridiculously logical person, even to the point of being over-analytical and over-logical. And I know this is not a Pisces trait."

As far as Pisces not being logical, I wouldn't be so sure about that. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and the opposite sign polarity Virgo is ruled by Mercury.

Oh! I have another idea... Since you said the Moon is your chart ruler, I'm assuming your rising is Cancer.
Cancer usually loves familiar things that make them feel safe. If you grew up in a mountain area - then it feels like home to you. The beach might feel too foreign and hence "unsafe".

But everything is emotional for Cancer AC... so if you happened to end up on a beach someplace and you bumped into the love of your life and created new, sweet, loving memories associated with the place.... then you'd probably become a beach-lover

That's odd. I'm trying to think of something I hate that much (a certain person aside, who totally deserves it).

Can you post your full chart? And you've never had a bad experience with water? I'm afraid of heights, too, but it wasn't enough to keep me from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Well you have a lot of fixed energy, so you have strong preferences for certain things.

Maybe it's a past life thing if you believe in that stuff, what sign is your nodes in?

My moon is in pisces and squares Neptune in the first. My Varuna conjuncts my Northnode and Records.

My moon conjuncts my mom's Southnode. When she was pregnant with me she was VERY afraid of water and as a child I had nightmares of being stranded in the middle of the ocean with no shores in sight.

Its possible in a past life I was exiled and shipped off and perhaps kicked off the ship to die in the ocean in the middle of nowhere perhaps for being a pagan and a witch since I have jupiter-uranus-circe in the 12th and Jupiter is my chart ruler or perhaps my ideas were to out there and unconventional.

Water is powerful and most of earth is made of water, tsunamis are scary and real so I think in some level we are aware of this in our collective consciousness. There is so much of the ocean that is unexplored. I like the sound of water and love looking at the ocean but water is also scary and can be wild, out of control and turbulent. However, it can be soothing and relaxing but again also scary, rightly so.

No, but you also mentioned that you were afraid of other things. That's what I was referencing.

I get seasick and have never thought a cruise would be appealing, because I'd be stuck in the middle of the ocean. I'm scared of drowning, and had nighmares for years, but I don't hate it. I have a book about the Titanic (astrological), about certain points that match up with related charts, and my Sun is conjunct one point. I think Mercury was also involved. I'll have to find that book...

I'm an Aries, and I'm not big on fire, either. It scares me, and when my dad was burning things in the garden, in September, I wasn't feeling well and it made me anxious. Since the wind seemed to be blowing it in every direction, and there were leaves falling on it, I got the hose and put it out.

So... What makes you hate the ocean?
I mean what is it that you hate?

I'm a bit confused. Have you actually been to the ocean?

You said:

quote:
I never go to the ocean, so how can I drown if I never near water before?

Do you just hate it from photos and things you know about it?

And why does water in general bother you? Do you mean even in the shower, for example?

Wait, so does that mean you hate the ocean?

LOL just kidding. I had to poke fun a little since you went on for seeeeeveral paragraphs about how much you hate the ocean.

Agree with the person who mentioned a past life connection. Maybe you drowned or were killed by a shipwreck or something. Look to your south node.

It's probably in your aspects, research them some more. I have mostly earth and air in my chart, but my aspects make me much more watery and attracted to the ocean. I actually have more Pisces in me because of that. You should look up your dominants and your aspects. I'm betting Saturn is making an appearance. I wouldn't say Capricorn though because even though they are mountain goats they also have a mermaid tail which makes them attracted to the see, after all many mountains are by bodies of water.

what do you mean it could be aspects making you watery? i dont really believe that planets are connected to the elements, that is kind of like saying red is similar to triangle, but thats just my belief.

i think earth has the biggest connection to earth and water, all things physical.

air is the mental realm

water is emotions and intuitive understanding, awareness of the connection of all things

I know I asked too many questions ... But I have another one! lol
Is your Mars conjunct Saturn in Scorpio - are they very close?

The Mars/Saturn could point to a love of mountains and possibly even climbing.. like rock climbing.

actually i didnt think i had much Sag but i now believe that first house is Aries and that it has duads and my Sun in first house is in Sag duad, and my Aqua sun has Leo duad so in my sun I have a fire trine.

also that the sun's duad and super duad are even stronger then the moon sign, i personally believe.

actually maybe not

Well, I'm a Gemini and we're suppose to love puns, double entendres and other silly wordplay...and all I can say is stop, everyone, please. I can't stand that nonsense. It's just trite ways for people to act like they're smart. My Gemini Sun and Mercury on in the 10th and my Gemini Venus is conjunct Saturn in 9th. I admire genuine, real intelligence, not that kind of shallow silliness.

So yeah, you're an individual and cookbook interpretations of your Sun sign won't ever be an exact fit.

That said, I'm a Pisces moon and I was born less than 2 miles from the Pacific. I looooove the ocean. Lol
