I'm fairly familiar with aspects in a natal that would point to inheritance. Though anyone is welcome to tell me what you think they are.

The thing is, it can, and often does involve multiple people who can't have the same charts.

What transits (or maybe progressions, etc) would you expect that trigger this?

For me, it was jupiter return, tr jupiter going through 7th house, and the process was finalized when tr jupiter got to my 8th house.

The first time it was Tr jupiter going through my 1st house, conjunct NN. Tr uranus and venus were in my 2sc house.

Dang. All I did when Jupiter transited my H1 was gain weight.

I have yet to inherit anything (which I think is probably a good thing), so I can't comment much more than that.

*nod nod*

I first inherited when my father was close to death, and the second time he actually said bye bye to this world. It certainly was not good.

Usually a big (life changing, turning point) inheritance is always seen in the chart and it seems to always touch the 8th house and 8th house ruler, and coupled with some important natal event touching the 2nd (usually Uranus or Jupiter). Honestly, there have to be direct planets on the 2nd/8th axis, rulers are not enough. I would expect for the transits to trigger that natal configuration.

Smaller inheritance, such as receiving a pair of earrings from your grandma (not you, DG ) usually happen with direct transits on 2nd/8th axis.

Hmmm..

Pluto transit 4th, 2nd, and 8th for my siblings and I.
Could be significant.
I have Jupiter 8th and Uranus 2nd (not opposite). But I figured it must be something beyond a single person's natal unless the decedent.

Ha! You have a classic natal configuration for inheritance DG. You should have some direct transits on Jupiter and Uranus when you receive it.
That Pluto makes me think this inheritance is related to someone's death though, isn't it? I am sorry

In fact, the term inheritance is broader in astrology, it could also be receiving a large investment for a project/startup, or be in charge with a collective fund, or even finding a treasure they all qualify as inheritance, astrologically, for they deal with the idea of administrating or using resources accumulated by generations/other people and the final astrological lesson about those is to use them for some sort of collective purpose as well, to pass them on as well.

Thanks LeeLoo!

Yes, two deaths.
It's kind of mind blowing in the sense that yes, everyone looks out for themselves but these people really thought this out and were thinking of us also. We had little idea really. I guess it wasn't something that we ever have thought about, but they did, quietly.
Jupiter is transiting my 12th (trine natal Jupiter) and t-Uranus my 7th.

Another sad thread.

I have an 8H moon and have been receiving inheritances throughout my life. My father's family was old, large, and wealthy. My immediate family wasn't, so these inheritances were significant...for instance I remember getting a new kitchen when my great-aunt died.

My father-in-law's death was no kind of gain because I adored him. But financially it was the most significant death of my life: tr Uranus was just entering my 8H. My father's death was another inheritance, tr Uranus still in the 8H, applying to a conjunction with my moon.
