I should add- I mean "shield" as in not necessarily keeping YOU from dying, but keeps you from having to experience loss. I am 25 and have never had any family members die, not even grandparents, aunts, uncles, or even more distantly removed family members. Also never had any friends die... Was wondering what in my chart would cause that

My mother has this placement and by no means this is the only placement that indicates this, but she has lost a lot of people in her life including her child. She has also been forced through life to do things on her own and rely on herself alone. Her parents are still alive and I think this placement might give her a long life.

Well, the opposite I would say is Pluto.
After Pluto crossed my IC and into my 4th I've been surrounded by death. (5 in two years so far) It's the only thing that I can think of.
I'm fine, don't get me wrong. I can handle it. (Jupiter 8th ? )

My natal Pluto is 1st, conjunct asc by the way. I don't think that relates but I figured that people may ask.

So I can't directly answer but I'm thinking Pluto in a favorable position either natally or by transit (since it moves so slowly)
But I'm open to many other factors.

I have this placement in the normal house system (i like to use whole sign tho). I don't have grandmothers anymore.

I didn't experience loss of friends because of death. I read a lot that this aspect means "a long life" and "fear of death".
