Aries Sun with Mars in Pisces, thought you might be describing me - except I have tried. And I just don't hide my feelings, anymore.

I would love to be involved in something good, fun, energetic, as long as my energy isn't down.

haha! I can't take any more of these pictures. I relate too much to them (and I hate crying, but I do it a lot).

I also wouldn't appreciate the shaming, whether it was directed at me, or someone else. It isn't always easy to get over something, and there isn't always a game plan to be made, if something can't be changed. Some people deal with devastating things, some are depressed (and it will not just go away with pills, and therapy).

LOL

I feel the same way, teasel...no more Kim K pictures, it all hits too close to home. Though I don't actually cry a lot..but seeing her that upset makes me feel kinda bad.

I think people tend to glorify what is tough, prevailing against all odds, persevering...we want to relate to strength, celebrate resilience.

Seems to be less appreciation for the flip side of that...the struggle, heartache, disappointments we endure along the way.

But it's always a cycle, the climbing and resting and mourning whatever sucked about the journey...I think we all do that. So, no sense pointing fingers when we all need time to recuperate.

I feel like I'm trying to play Zen Master in a role play game...I feel like I need to get off this thread.

Bye everyone

The same in Astrology: you progress from general to specific concepts. Btw, I don't think I'm more knowledgeable than anyone here. I just don't like having my mind inside a box and applying the same descriptions to all situations. Applying general concepts but relativizing and specifying them are extremely important if you wanna be fastidious and accurate. Otherwise, we can end up doing nonsense readings like those we see in magazine horoscopes.

I've just been feeling lazy lately. I've been on LL as much as always but have felt lazy about posting. So even when I do post it turns into, "eh. Nevermind". I've written posts recently and then not clicked "submit reply".
My personal life is SUPER busy though in the sense of requiring a lot of my thought energy. Which is really saying something considering my chart.

I am thinking of writing an article on 5 placements people don't realize are great.

My first would be my Venus-----Gemini. It is a spicy meatball

I had been going to say yesterday, that I think all placements have their difficulties.

I was thinking last night, about what I think can be hard for those strong in Fire signs. People seem to think we're handling things just fine, even when you expressly tell them that you aren't.

Over the years, I have let people know when something is affecting me badly - not in school, but my behaviour should have made it clear then (I was totally different - withdrawn, socially phobic, depressed), yet my sister the Cap, was taken to see a hypnotherapist. I asked mum why she didn't take me, and she said she knew that I was going through something difficult, but she also knew that I was handling it. KNEW, not assumed, or hoped. At the time, I thought I HAD to be able to handle things all by myself, seeing mum as the independent single mother (who later told me, "you didn't see me sleeping on the couch, when I took you to your aunt's house, or talking through my problems with them").

At the time, I begged her not to move us, more than once, but that wasn't listened to. It was assumed I would be fine. Same thing when I was 18, and again later on.

As an adult, I learned to express myself clearly. During the last five-six years, I begged one parent not to drink so much. I communicated with my sister, wanted to get therapy with her, and then the rest of my family, when we somehow ended up through the Looking Glass, and I no longer recognized my life, or my family. Nope. Not having any of it.

I wrote letters, thinking if they read what i was saying - and how it was affecting me (oh so badly), that maybe it would get through to someone. Nope.

Made phone calls asking for help. Wrote emails. Communication is key, right? (It is for a Gemini Moon/Venus.) Hell, I was getting beaten up occasionally by said sibling, and she received no consequences for that - NONE.

So I'm sinking, feeling practically feral at this point, wanting to die. Pets are dying, family members have been dying, things keep happening. I keep trying to communicate, and I'm hated even more (how, I don't know). It really became the norm for me to be treated badly, because people didn't want to get in the middle. Then I'm told that I need therapy (alone). Thanks to them, but nobody was going to go into therapy WITH me and accept any fault.

Anyway, extremely long story, short:
I communicated, nothing happened.
It was obvious how badly things were affecting me. Nothing happened to change them.

It was assumed I would be fine. Assumed I would bounce back. Never mind that the way I connect to people has been forever damaged. And what gets to me is this: After all that time, I get someone coming up to me, when they realize I'm not doing well, and in their most gentle, "no sudden movements" voice, ask me, "And now, what can we do for you?"

(((TEASEL)))

I technically don't have much fire in my chart with the exception of 0 degree Saggi Venus conjunct a Scorpio IC and an Aries 8H Chiron, but I am a sympathetic Libra Sun/Uranus/Pluto.

Fire heavy people DO appear to just roll with it and they don't get the same care and concern. I look after my Fire People. My daughter is a Aries Sun/Venus, my bestfriend of almost 30 years is a Sagittarius stellium, and my boyfriend of 6+ years is a Leo Sun/Mars with a Moon is Sagittarius.

I sorta want to go kick some familial buttocks on your behalf, Teasel.

what do you think about saturn (sco) conjunct pluto (lib) in the 10th house?

constantly self-sabotaging myself, power struggles and basically not knowing what i want to do with my life. tragicomical nonsense which undermines my whole life

Teasel, I connect to so much of your post.

I agree that fire people are neglected. I see it with my dad (Aries) and my best friend (another Aries) all the time. People just assume that they've got everything handled, even when they're crumbling right in front of everyone.

I don't have any fire (well, Jupiter in Leo) but I do have a crap ton of earth. Three planets in Virgo (with yes, Venus) and three in Cap. People typically assume that I'm handling everything just fine, because I'm usually always the one taking care of people. Need someone to hold your hand, cook dinner, do the chores, pay the bills, wash your car, take your kids to school, do your homework, do your job, talk to your mom/boss/bff for you, hold your hair back while you puke all over the floor without grimacing, whining or complaining once? I'm your gal.

The problem is that I "handle" life's problems so well (to them) that when I've finally reached my breaking point and I start bawling, people assume that I've gone insane...because if the most well adjusted, hardworking person in the room is cracking, surely that must be what's wrong. When really, it's that people take advantage of the fact that I will likely always be there, doing whatever needs to be done (because who else will do it?) and I'm not the type to groan and moan while I do it...silence has somehow become equated with "You can take advantage of me." But everyone has their breaking point, and mine are usually met with shock, disgust, anger, and a myriad of other emotions. Nobody likes to see a rock crumble...or to see their safety net disappear.

Any placement can have problems associated with it. Any placement can be considered hard.

What is your ASC, SV

If people have none or are low in an element and have that element on the ASC or MC, people see them as something they are not and it is hard cuz they feel confused lol

YES, SV

I find that people have a kind of "schizy" thing in which they appear to be one way and others expect and the person does too, when in reality the person is really not like that. It can make the person feel insecure, in that they don't feel the way they APPEAR.

For you, you may appear very emotional, very reactive to things, very deep feeling and sensitive and inside, you may not feel this way but people expect it of you.

@ Ami Anne

What do you think about a couple having composite Chiron Retrograde in leo in the 8th house? the composite 8th house cusp is in cancer though and the 9th house cusp in leo.

i ask because you mentioned someone having an 8th house chiron but what about a couple having this in the composite but retrograde?

also composite 8th house chiron retrograde in leo is conjunct Person A's South Node in the 6th house.

I am not that well versed in the Comps. I don't trust them the way I do natal and synastry.

To offer an opinion, I would not like Chiron retro in the Comp for the same reasons I would not like it in a natal.

The language of Astrology stays the same in all the different charts, so that would be my opinion, my Friend.

i see. yeah i know a couple who have it in the 8th house and there sex life is fine but then again they have wonderful sexual compatiblity between the synastry so yeah you do have a point synastry over composite. at times i dont trust the composite too either, natal synastry i believe is key.

In person, I appear very empathetic, understanding and compassionate. I am these things, because they are ingrained in my personality - but I also have many squares between my personal planets, and I feel them. Boy do I feel them. Intense, nervous energy, a sensitivity just right below the surface. It's a contradiction to my calm, soft exterior. I love to help people but more often than not, I find myself needing help but not receiving it. And my asking for help is not received well, I think because people see that contradiction as meaning that in unreliable or not as strong as they initially perceived me to be.
