I think it has been pre-planned by mainstream astrologers for us to become too attached to one sign, planet, or house. Which will then make astrology more "marketable" because you're feeding into peoples emotions and expectations.
Yes I am aware that in our charts a part of those aspects resonate with us more.
I STILL believe that the North Node and the Angles (particularly the MC/IC) are the most important placements in ones chart. And I still believe that 90 percent of who we are can be found from those 2 placements alone.
But i believe the attachment we have towards our "sign" is what becomes one of the biggest issues when it comes to learning astrology. Not saying everyone should agree with what I'm saying, but its just something that no longer personally resonates with me.
From now on, when someone asks what my sign is, I'm going to just say that I am every sign, or Im going to just say that I am influenced by what is described in my natal chart..
I agreee with much of what you posted.
you are absolutely corrected about the "pre-planned" use of sun signs.
sun sign astrology arose in theearly 1920's when interest in astrology upsurged. tomake astrology "accessable" the 12 signs were emphasized. since then sun signs have become famous.
if one looks at astrology columns before 1920, you will see that these columnist wrote in standard asptrological terms, that is they talked about aspects and moon position and such. you are correct ,it was business interest that started to emphasize sun signs.
as you posted:
"I will simply look at that person and say "All of them"."
I agree, I have a saying, "we are all, all signs." because the celestial sphere encompasses all of us.
