He has a pretty tough chart, and he's sensitive but oppositional, if that makes sense. We have him in karate to help him channel his energy, but...I'll not be looking forward to that transit for him. Maybe it will give me the energy to help him channel his, lol. IP: Logged |

@Violets, I wish you and your son the best through that transit. I don't want to hear about how you karate chopped someone at the grocery store in the canned peaches aisle. IP: Logged |

I usually choose my battles and keep things to myself, but as Mars is hitting both my Sun and Moon, I seem to be getting hit with aggression (or passive-aggression), and just plain irritating situations from all directions lately, and I don't feel as though I have much choice but to say what I need to say...but I'm really hoping I don't come to regret that after Mars goes direct. My son just threw dirt in his friend's face at school today, for no apparent reason (he just turned five, and has an Aries stellium if that explains anything). So I informed him we were going home, told him to apologize to his friend, and tried to apologize to the little boy's mom, and...she basically ignored me. Like I tell my son to act that way, or like we go around throwing things at each other at home. Immediately before picking him up from school, my cousin called to dredge up more anecdotes about something she said that I didn't find funny (but she did), like she's desperately trying to convince me that "No, it's really funny, so I'll keep bringing it up until you agree with me". I had to tell her that I basically just don't "get" her "sense of humor", and basically let her know that I wasn't really sure what the point was in calling me to tell more lame jokes about it. Maybe you're right, maybe there is something weirdly karmic about it, like stuff we need to learn how to deal with appropriately? I haven no idea. Sorry to unload here, but I do have a big, giant WTF to send out to the Universe.
I'm glad you mentioned all that and I read somewhere that this Mars retro makes it hard to assert oneself. I think that it works the other way too. Normally I'm pretty up front about a lot of things at work but I've taken a moment to just chill out and watch how things go. This has worked but a huge part of me believes it's also a second chance to learn a few lessons again and go about it in a way that is more authentic to who we are, whether we are more direct or indirect. Also, the whole joking thing. Look, if it wasn't funny the first time, it isn't funny now. IP: Logged |

Yeah... For some reason, I'm often inclined to retract any expression of annoyance I demonstrate with people. Partly because I can overdo it, and partly I suppose because of my Pisces Sun.This time, however, I made a conscious effort not to blame my lack of enthusiasm, or my understandable irritation on being pregnant, or anything else. I just left it out in the open that I don't find her line of thinking to be particularly humorous. I let her know that I love her in spite of the fact that I thought she was being rude, but I didn't backtrack about it. I need to read up on what Mars Rx really indicates for people who don't have it natally, because it's really...oh. It's hitting my NN and opposing my SN. That probably has a lot to do with why it feels rather like a necessary lesson for me. Good that I'm finally putting that together. IP: Logged |

What you said about hitting your North node rings similar to me. Once it goes back to late scorpio, it will square both my NN and SN. I guess that's why I have felt stuck recently. Eta: I've had to edit this post about 4 times because 1) sausage fingers 2) mercury retrograde IP: Logged |

Hm. It definitely seems to put a completely different spin on the transit when it involves the Nodes. Do you also have planets square your Nodes, then? (I'm sorry if you've mentioned that before, I lose track sometimes.) IP: Logged | |
