Okay, in astrology most muster that the elements water and earth works best for a moon sign, in the sense that the moon is most comfortable in that element.

But I must say, moon signs reflect differently in men. It is yin, the side of a men that is most hidden and is often projected.

And with that being said, I'd like you all to share your experiences with men's moon sign and what you think works best sign wise, placement etc... Keep in made this is all subjective.

I'll start this off with my own personal experiences:

Gemini Moon - these men have a very odd sense of humor that is dry and "out there" sometimes. And they don't necessarily like women with Gemini placements. They use humor to deflect emotional problems or wounds from the past. They are also more rational and will not straight up tell someone that they "like you."

Moon in Cancer guys that I have known, act macho or tend to conceal their sensitive nature through denial.

It often projects itself via moodiness, touchiness and a tendency for outbursts of anger that come "out of nowhere".

I have a coworker that is a Virgo sun Gemini moon. When we were together all we do is laugh. When we were together I have to tell him OK no more talking or we're not going to get anything done Lol

One of my best friends is Libra Sun, Moon in Pisces and he's the kind of man that refuses to feel, he acts like everything is ok all the time, but when he reaches that point is the only way he looks for help, he denies it all the time even with Neptune on his ASC which makes him more Pisces, he denies, denies, specially when it comes to love, he's the typical guy that when he breaks up with someone he acts like everything is ok and three months later he's going crazy remembering things.

I love people's moon signs. I usually find that people's moons are more easily identifiable than their sun signs.

Here's my experiences:

Gemini Moon: Brother- quick witted, very intelligent (works for google), easy going (libra asc). His wife is a Gemini sun.

Cancer Moon: My father, two coworkers who have the exact same birthday (year included)- kind hearted, sensitive, empathetic, soft and gentle souls.

Aries Moon: Ex boyfriend and current boyfriend: Constant fidgeters- their leg always bounces under the table, or they're playing with something to keep their mind occupied. Excess energy. Into sports. I haven't noticed them to be aggressive, but rather needing to burn off the excess energy that they have. Impulsive and impatient at times. For example, my boyfriend takes charge at restaurants when we are in a big group and no one has ordered. He gets impatient and takes control and starts ordering so we can hurry up and get our food. Every time.

Pisces Moon: I realized that the Humans of New York guy is a Pisces sun and Pisces Moon. And a friend of mine has a Pisces moon too. I'm a Pisces stellium (sun, Moon, Mercury conjunct) so I'm drawn to these people. The core of my soul recognizes such a familiarity with them. Like, I want to curl up next to them and be around their aura all the time. Such comfort. But these guys are awesome. They're empathetic, understanding, caring. They're sensitive and they want to help others. Wow, am I describing myself here? ;-) Very gentle but old souls.

Aquarius Moon: theyre detached from their emotions a bit. They're logical as opposed to emotional. They make great decisions under pressure. I dated an Aquarius Moon in college and he was fascinated at my empathy and love for those in need. Because while he cared for others in need, he was still practical. Not a bleeding heart like me.

Sagittarius Moon: I feel like this is the most common moon sign. Although logically speaking, I know that all Moon signs are equally distributed among people. But I know so many. These are the fun people. They're always laughing. They don't take life too seriously. And they have a big soft spot for animals.

Taurus Moon: do these people have a sense of time? Honestly, like do they even know what a clock is? Every Taurus moon are notoriously late. The guys are sweet and shy. Romantics at heart. They have the aura of dependability about them. Very laid back.

Scorpio Moon: I love Scorpio. I'm heavily Plutonian. But I don't see Scorpio qualities with this Moon sign. My boss is a Scorpio Moon, and while I can see it in his eyes, I don't see it in his personality. I have a good friend who is a Scorpio Moon and I don't see it with him either. So I'm not so sure about this one. Maybe I'm just looking for deep Plutonian qualities like myself and I'm looking too hard lol.

my bro has moon in taurus, and it kinda his asc ruler though asc is on last degree of cancer...basically hes selfish, likes food and money, buys only branded clothes and holds some kind of disdain twords everyone, everyone is annoying and stupid to him, he gets irritated when people take his spotlight, loves teasing people dosent like it when its done to him....his emotions change in moments, one moment he is joking around, the next one hes all mad and bitchy (but his moon has quite a number of hard aspects so) oh and we just had a big fight so i might be focusing only on bad things....but i cant think of any good ones atm

Dad has moon in leo in conjunction to pluto in 9th house...he is allways somwhere else BUT home. He has gambling addiction (pluto?) ...i mean,he gets angry fast but chills down fast also. Womenizer.... Good friend, maybe even way too good for his own well being.

My BF is Libra Moon in the 4th, and he's a very sensitive guy, he's not afraid to cry in public under extreme circumstances (but he avoid it if he can, of course). He loves animals, especially cats, he's obsessed with his personal hygiene and overall appearance, but not in an annoying way, he likes to be groomed. He loves his family.

I think he has good balance, he's Jupiter and MC in Pisces but also has Aqua Sun, Capri Venus and Aries Mars, which makes him a little more strong IMO.

Gemini Rising.

My husband is a Sagittarius moon:

Very warm and friendly with a good sense of humor. Has a need for space and independence. Dislikes constant negativity and has little tolerance for debbie downers. Can be pretty blunt without meaning to be.

I'm unaware of any men's moon sign (from a love/partner standpoint) with exception of my husband. He's an Aries by the Tropical method.

He's rather jovial, laid back but ambitious when he begins projects he's a taskmaster. Though he is no perfectionist, he does finish. He's passionate (fire)
Over his sports, cooking/BBQing and intimacy. When he is talking about his work, he is rather animated. He has some arrogance at times, which I have come to realise is his moon revealing itself. He isn't overboard about it though & he gets along with just about anybody.

Cancer moon guys (my bf) are big teddy bears!
Cuddly and sweet but also a little emotional and sensitive so they also need occasional squeeze to make them feel better!

I definitely want to know more about Pisces moon guys! My ex and I have recently been talking ALOT (i think we both miss and care deeply about one another) - hes virgo sun and pisces moon - which is awesome since im a water sign! So i def want to know how a water/pisces moon can affect the guy - is it always opposite effects? or could this make someone gentler/deeper emotions?

My ex is Cancer Moon- giant teddy bear, yes, but way too soft for me; he's very feminine in his emotional approach, and over time it really grated on my nerves. (I'm Cap Moon though). He's very passive aggressive and manipulative and only wants everyone to think he's kind and fun and indulgent. In respect to our kids and parenting, he indulges them relentlessly and I am the stern disciplinarian. But he has a Cancer stellium so that takes affect there too.

Another moon I know is Sag. He is very quiet and shy, but can be blunt. Loves animals. Appreciates humor, very clever and can be pretty goofy.

A good friend of mine is Taurus moon. He doesn't indulge in expensive things, hates spending money and hates the concept of labels and brands. He loves old things, and names everything and holds on to them forever and ever. He is pretty slow to move in emotional relationships. But he's also heavily scorpio (Sun, Venus, Uranus, and ASC). And his Venus is Rx. Even though our moons don't really trine, I get along really well with him emotionally.

I think he meant well, but it came out the wrong the way.

I would also blame his Scorpio ascendant for not being able to seeing other peoples perspective and possibly manipulating people including you.

I agree with the Aries moon outburst when things don't always work out.

I started dating an Aquarius moon, he is like 80-90% Cancer besides his moon, so you'd think he'd still be emotional despite the detached Aquarian moon, but no. I mean he's emotional and sweet, but he can still be unpredictable, free-spirited and rebellious as all Aquarian placements are.

Anyone can project their moon sign. I've seen it with men AND women. It depends on how in touch you are with your real needs and feelings. I have noticed that Cancer and Pisces tend to be the moon signs projected a lot, probably because they're so sensitive. Which is a shame...

Experiences with Male's Moon Signs:
~VIRGO~ My stepdad and a friend of 14 years. Both are conjunct my venus. They have a quiet intelligence to them. Self-critical and anxious. Often I have to remind them of tact. You can always feel their advice is coming from a good place (they just want to help!) but I think they don't realise they can come off pretty offensive sometimes.
Smart cookies, though. I love (Venus) their heart (moon).

~AQUARIUS~ My brother and a high school friend. I have a track record of attracting Aqua Moons into my life. My best friend is one (but she's a she lol). This is an interesting moon though. Can't ever quite figure them out. The emotional processes are interesting. Can seem robotic but I'm not fooled by it. More or less they just have the ability to detach. Are extremely sweet once they're sure you're not going to smother them.
Can occasionally have a intellectual superiority complex.

~PISCES~ My dad. Probably the healthiest Pisces Moon I've ever met. Super in touch with it. Like he just oozes Pisces. Although it took a year long solo sabbatical around the country for him to reach that point.
Yes, very sensitive and kind-hearted. Needs a lot of alone time, spiritual connection with food, fantastic listener...very open-minded and spiritual. I talk to him about these types of things all the time (including astrology!)
If they're upset they can be incredibly delusional. Also have a knack for not seeing things they don't want to look at.

LEO- My 'playground boyfriend' or childhood friend, haha.
His Moon conjunct my Sun and Juno exact, in the 7th house. Don't speak to him much now since he moved but I only ever have fond memories. Very affectionate, goofy, warm-hearted and protective. He was *very tolerant of me Wasn't very demanding actually, for a leo...

~CANCER~ Oh yes. Like other people have said, I've also noticed the 'acting-macho-to-hide-my-sensitivtiy' thing. They also consume a lot of meat.

~SCORPIO~ High school friend. Absolutely shocked when I discovered he was an Aqua Sun. His eyes have the mark of Hades himself... Intense, obsessive, a wee-bit dark...

~GEMINI~
There are two types of Gemini Moons.
1) the shallow, fickle, airheads who can't quit talking about NOTHING.
2) the ones who channel their natural curiosity into the bigger questions in life.
I haven't found any in-between lol. Being one myself, I get along with most 1st decan Gems at a basic level. However the shallow ones bore me eventually.
2nd and 3rd decan Gems are basically like different species to me....plus they fall in my 6th. Conjunct my own moon though (thus in my 5th house + conjuncting my vertex) Well.....oh la la. Moon conjunct Moon is one of my favourite aspects ever.

The guy I was crushing on for the longest time had this.
They DO have weird senses of humour, very smart, but intellectually complex. I've found the deeper ones to have loner tendencies, actually. More sensitive and shy than one would think, but in a nervous kind of way.
They talk to themselves A LOT. If not out loud, it looks as if they're always thinking about SOMETHING...
Very open-minded and adaptable. Moody though. At home where no one can see.

That's my take!

I haven't noticed this in the cancer moon men. The ones I know are not macho at all. I guess it depends on other factors in the chart.
