surprised nobody has said moon square jupiter or moon sesquisquare jupiter...I am noticing a pattern with this aspect and becoming easily teary. I guess the moon expands so when it touches the moon which rules emotions in hard aspect person cries very easily. IP: Logged |

I am very surprised but yes I am noticing moon in aquarius can be highly sensitive, I would have never thought this. I guess it goes to show you how crucial the aspects are. Two of my most sensitive clients have moon in aquarius but also in hard aspect to venus (conjunction) and jupiter (sesquisquare). Yeah she has mars in cancer but so do I!  I have cap sun/mars in cancer and im a bit cold!!

I would think moon in virgo would ground you but I guess there must be something to moon in hard aspect to mars as mars is aggressive and irritates the moon and moon in hard aspect to mars is an affliction, this in combo with moon trine neptune may be enough to make you a HSP. Like I would think you get irritated easily with mars in aries opposing moon in libra and that you want harmony very much but conflicts seems to find you and then with moon trine neptune this affects you deeply bc your moon in libra and moon trine neptune wants everything to be nice and rosy all the time. I would consider harsh Mars aspects more "touchy" than sensitivity that extends to empathy.Are we talking about how empathic a person is? Or are we talking about how defensive/touchy a person is? Because the moon/Mars square people I know lash out with some harsh words when they are irritated. It's more "touchy" to me if anything and very defensive. Same with sun square Mars, Mercury square Mars would be more verbal/argumentative. So ya. They are sensitive, but not the kind of sensitivity that will pick up the vibrations in a room, like prominent Neptune/Pluto placements, or even water sign placements. Virgo is a very hypersensitive sign just like it's polarity Pisces.. Aqua's can be sensitive especially with Pisces placements or generational conjunctions to the outter planets for peeps born late 80s-90s cause of the cap Neptune, then Uranus, Saturn, which transits to Aqua, but Aqua is so good at hiding their sensitivity I think.. The most sensitive person I know is myself. I cry during those animal abuse commercials while they play that depressing Sarah McLachlan song.... Oh gosh. First I thought it was because I was on birth control but now that I've been off of it for many years, I know it's because I'm a big baby!  Sometimes when I see others cry, I'll start tearing up. Like when my boss was telling our staff how exhausted and stressed out she was while crying, I almost broke down. When I see the less fortunate or someone being mean to another human being, I get emotional. I remember this one time when my mom was really mean to my sister for something very serious. My sister locked herself up in her room for days and wouldn't even come out to eat. So I made her food and brought it to her. Just going back in time and reminiscing about it makes me teary eyed! It's most likely my Cancer sun/mercury in the 12th. I've read about Mars/moon aspects here. I have them sextile. I hide my sensitivity. I'll only full on cry when I'm by myself but for the most part, I'll hold everything in when in public. IP: Logged |

I am right with you with everything you just said so thanks for taking the time to write this, I do agree with your distinction bt empathic and touchy and your observations about Mars. This thread was more intended for empathic and people who feel too much. I do agree Aquas in general hide well their sensitivity but the moon in Aquas I know which both have moon conjunct Venus and sesquisquare Jupiter suck at it and cry very easily. One has sun in Pisces and the other has moon also conjuncting Neptune. IP: Logged |

Im hypersensitive. I feel almost everything. My moon are in aspect to almost everything in my chart both hard and easy aspected. My moon is also in square to pluto in wide orb but in an exactly parallel to pluto...IP: Logged |

I am a HSP, so I am indeed incredibly sensitive. I have a very watery chart, with Earth coming in second. Pretty much anyone with a Water dominant chart will be super sensitive, just look at someone like Kurt Cobain. I also have an Aries Ascendant, and so nearly every one of my planets are in their rightful houses, which makes the Water energy doubled. Here are my Water planets:Sun: Cancer - 3rd (a few degrees before the 4th)
Moon: Pisces - 12th
Mercury: Cancer - 4th
Venus: Cancer - 4th
Pluto: Scorpio - 8th I also have a Water grand trine with Moon, Mercury, and Pluto, so I think the intensity is much more escalated. My Moon and Pluto are both some of my most aspected planets too. The worst part is I have Sun square Ascendant with my Ascendant in Aries, so I can appear much more outgoing and assertive than I really am when deep inside I'm this big marshmallow. People for this reason tend to expect something else out of me and end up disappointed when they realize I'm not who I appear to be. My Aries rising can also make me very impulsive at times, and that gets me into trouble. I just have this need for a rush I guess. It makes it very hard to cope because my Pisces Moon soaks up everything like a sponge and I get hurt because I can't take what comes at me. I have to spend A LOT of time alone in order to introspect and calm down. My environment affects me deeply, so anybody around me walking briskly, talking loudly, or getting too close to me where I feel claustrophobic makes me stress out even more. I'll just say this, sometimes I can be so ridiculously oversensitive that I'm afraid of showing somebody a song I like. For instance, if the person tells me they don't like it, I would not be able to listen to it for a long time because all I would think about is them not liking it and it would crush me inside everytime I listen to it. I know, it's pathetic. Might be some form of OCD too, but I'm not sure. Other then my Ascendant, I am a Fire void, so I wish I had a little more spark in my chart. Also some more Air too, because I only have a Singleton, but it's in Saturn, of all planets. I think that would make me not feel like I'm drowning into a deep abyss sometimes. IP: Logged |

You have a lot of water planets in water houses! Thanks for sharing. I guess having water planets conjuncting and falling in the water houses can have a similar effect. The HSP I know that inspired me to start this thread has a lot of air and earth on his chart and mars in aries yet his moon conjuncts venus and neptune and his jupiter in virgo sesquisquares his moon and venus. I don't have his time of birth but I bet that his rising sign is in a water sign probably pisces actually and I imagine he has a lot of planets in a water house. In fact with pisces rising he would have moon conjunct venus and neptune falling in his 12th house, uranus also in his 12th house, neptune ruling his chart and jupiter in virgo in the 7th; he is highly idealistic and sensitive, fixates on the negative and I think is bc his moon-venus-neptune stellium are in a fixed sign aquarius falling possibly in the 12th to top it off. Wow, I checked the charts of people I think who are sensitive, including mine, we all have moon-mars hard aspect, either square or conjunction. The ones I think are a bit oblivious have trine and sextile.

This is an interesting thread for me.
I'm a HSP too and believe to be an empath, I feel everything extremely deeply and it took me 30+ years to accept my sensitivity as something normal. Because it is normal, and getting in touch with and accepting my crazy strong feelings has helped me immensely.
I used to be called too sensitive, and "why are you like that" all the time when I was a child, my self esteem was nonexistent and I was convinced something is wrong with me that I'm not normal, so I created this cold outside shell, and I'm currently working on its slow removal  If there is one cause I believe in, that is promoting the idea that to just feel whatever comes up for you is ok, is more than ok, is what will make you stronger and authentic, because confidence comes from accepting your vulnerable self, whatever that loks like. Also I dream about a society where we don't have to hide our emotions, where "strong" doesn't mean emotionless, but being authentic and open Me:

Cancer Moon and Mars conjunct in the 11th
Moon/ Mars square Pluto I think Virgo sensitivity is about noticing everything, which can be a huge sensory overload, and Cancer-wise the sensitivity is more on an emotional and intuitive level.
