can someone explain to me the key differences between the two?

1) They will always try to make someone a friend rather then an enemy.
Or failing that they will know how to handle them and go around them.

2) I can't speak for the males, but the females generally have a big heart and hate confrontation.

Gemini:

1) Will fight the person to the end instead of making a friend, may even get revenge completely different to Aquarius.

2) Play mind games based on "entrapment".
or trick people into doing things.
For example an older Gemini Female I knew invited her son's girlfriend over she walked her to the bedroom and said I will close the door and let you alone with my son.

In essence she was playing a mind game to see what kind of morals the girlfriend has.

Here's a distinctive one between me an my Aquarius friend:

I'm guilty of finding away to get out of situations.

Aquarius on the other hand would stay firm until the end.

I joke about this with my Aquarius friend.
I tell her you should have never met your first husband I would have ran away from him, I could spot trouble just looking at him.

Then she response you shouldn't have droped that discrete structures math course, the final grades where bell curved.

See what I mean? Gemini males will run while Aquarius will stay to the end.

She always gives me flack for always running away to soon.

I give her flack for staying to long and not realizing when things are a lost cause.

1. The Gemini may talk a lot about ANYTHING (especially if their relationship is in rocky situation/bad they will not hesitate badmouthing the person consciously/unconsciously to their friends) openly more often than the Aquarius who will not tell you their private life (or just tell you superficially about theirs) unless you are in their inner trust circle (who may happen only 1 person if not their family lol)

2. Gemini relationship with lover or friends will never be stable, there will always an on-off situation where the Geminis are unpredictably disappearing finding new friends/person or new activities. Aquarian relationship with lover or friends are more stable and long lasting, they are fixed sign and they are not easily trust people they met so they will not disappear just because they met someone new/friends or new activities.

3. If you ask their advice for your problems, the Aquarius will give their advice with some seriousness and it's hard for you to take (because it is logic and unemotional lol) while the Gemini take it lightly or even make a joke and people tend to easily take their advice (it depends on Gemini's mercury though, if it's in cancer mercury they tend to take it personally)

That's all I can think of right now.. no quote please, I'll add some if I remember something.. lol.

My Mercury is in Gemini, so I take everything with logic and seriousness.

Lol, don't hate me for saying this but the Aqurious can be very stubborn being a fixed sign.

They Will stay to there cause much longer then Gemini. Less likely to compromise, even if there wrong. Gemini might change there mind the next day.

The other thing that is more distinctly Aquarius is Aquarius is more intuitive then Gemini.

My Aquarian female friend can intuitive sense what I do she's practically psychic.

I have no doubt that hearttreasure has intuition on her Gemini bf.

They act as if they are non judgemental but they really are the opposite, in my experience.

This is the Aqua Sun in females, in particular.

Gemini is, truly, non judgemental.

They are extremely open to everything lol

I have to agree with Ami.

aquarius is very good at putting on a act.

Gemini does not do this.

My bf has mercury in cancer and moon in sagittarius, so maybe his moon tend to influence the way he said things which is less serious than my mercury in aqua and moon in aries combine with saturn aspect.

No, I don't and won't hate you for saying Aquarian is stubborn because we are, ehm, sometimes. LOL. But, every Aquarian I've met has different level of stubbornness, for example my other closest Aquarian male friend is more stubborn than me that I am more into listening than arguing (I only stubborn with my final decision with lots of consideration of course), I hate confrontation/conflict, so when he starts being stubborn (he has cap mercury), holding on to his opinion until the end (as we tend to hangout with his partner too), I just sit there try to listen and understand his opinion and let him have his moment lol, while his partner gets annoyed because of his stubbornness and then I will watch their fight for what is right or not with popcorn LOL. My Mars in Sagittarius is too easily bored to be in long argument to find who is right or who is wrong, that's why sometimes I dislike arguing with Gemini sun for they think they are smarter than others and always RIGHT with their choice and even try to brainwash anyone who would listen. This can be tricky situation to deal with him.

I think you have met Aquarius sun with water moon or have some scorpio in their chart. LOL. This Aquarius will test the water until they think you can be trusted, like my friend who has Scorpio moon.

Gemini men may seems having a big heart, but to be honest, my Gemini man only good to people who do good to him. You get nasty to him, he will do twice to you, in the back. LOL. They are mirror, similar with Libra.

I tend to ask about his good friends whether he knows them well. NOPE. He has moon in sag and mercury conjunct mars, so I know when he speaks honesty. They love to win other people's attention so they may act good in front of you and you will smile back then they will act like a mirror.

Aries men I found have a really big heart in friendship. They will jump to help you no matter how deep or bad your situation is (similar to Aries moon). They are loyal friends. Gemini men? Will run from deep sea because they already see how deep it is and get distracted for other fish, leaving you waiting for him and the next day you ask "where are you when I need you the most?" One hundred thousand answers are already in their head and they pick the perfect answer then you forgive them as it is PERFECT in ears. They will give you things, but seriously, they just want to throw it to the trash can but remember you who might want it.....

- geminis have a soft, low or sharp voice
= aquarius seem like shouting when they talk, and can have the manliest, roughest voice

- geminis would try anything
= aquarius have their own set of very fixed morals

- geminis mostly sound smartass and know-it-all
= aquarius is mostly crazy rebellious and downright rude

Lol, thats what my Aqua friend says, she says why don't you just agree.

I will admit that sometimes if I know the argument is lost, I will still try to win it based on a technicality or a mis phrasing.

For example if you use the word "some people..." in the argument I will say your implying almost everyone, but not including this person. Otherwise you whould have said "All people or everyone".

or if you said "dozens" I expect at least 12
or if you use the word a "couple" I would argue you meant at least 2 or more.

That sorta thing.. thats why they say some Geminis are good at law because they can pick on ambiguities or wrongly phrased words if the law isn't clearly defined, even if the law was violated in the first place, lol.
