Tell me about your childhood(if you don't mind). Were you guys spoiled brats? Come from an aristocratic/rich lineage? Or suspect that you may be your parent's favourite child?

What's your relationship with your father like? What kind of father was he? And do you prize the home life above all else?

I want to know all you can tell me. And whether you think you have tons in common with Moon in Leo/Sun in Cancer?

Yes my partner has IC in Leo at 0 degrees and he was spoiled, parents were rich but father died when was around 12 and left him nothing and a few years earlier parents had gotten divorced, both of these things impacted him.

Mother spoiled him but he did not feel understood or accepted by her (misattuned with mother) which is a type of cumulative trauma. He felt truly loved by father but he passed away when he was young, also traumatic.

He feels very leo to me yes, he has venus in leo too in the 4th in mutual reception to the sun. He has always felt like a very warm white boy to me, not stoic at all, very charming. I thought he was Cuban.

I don't remember not getting what I wanted as a child... So I guess you can call that one a spoiled brat. Lineage from my father's side is rather rich... And as far as being a favorite child... That would require some thinking cuz we're quite some many... I don't think my parents are really pro a certain child though. But I think my father likes me a lot. Or so I feel. But it's certainly not a 'mutual connection'. My Sun sits in my twelfth house... I feel very distant to him. And I wonder for what reason, since he's got a ton of Gemini in his chart and my moon and rising is Gemini as well. But oh well.

He's got a stellium in the fifth house, so acts in that manner. But it's rather his spirit, somewhat childlike. Combine that with his talkative energy. Maybe that's the part that gets to me. The talking for the sake of talking. When he acts in his 'mature self' I can have a great time with him though.

Interesting though since I just realized lately that I've had/have quite a few individuals with moon in Leo in my life. Apparently I attract those. And this one Leo moon guy with his Sun and Mars in his fifth as well... Interesting that although his spirit reminds me of my father's, I have a completely different perception of him. I think he's the only actual crush in my life where that feeling lasted this long.

And about home life... Na wouldn't think I prize it. The opposite. Perhaps it's cuz my moon is as well in my twelfth. But I love my family and feel like chilling with them anytime. Are siblings the 3rd or 11th house? Cuz 3rd house ruled by Leo as well. And my chart ruler is in my eleventh, so not sure. And although I don't like 'home life' I love the concept of nurturing kids and certainly wanna be a mom. I guess that would be Libra ruling my fifth? And Venus in Cancer so that would explain it.

My husband did not feel like the favorite for sure specially under his mother's eyes, his older brother was her favorite. Now with his father he had a ton of kids with previous marriage so hard to say.

I have IC in aries and I am my father's only biological daughter (I have mars conjunct venus), my parents however are careful to treat us all good and not make one feel more loved than the other I feel but since I am my dad's only bio daughter and my mom said she felt like she was falling in love with me when I was born and did not feel that way with her other two kids, I am probably their "favorite." But like I said my parents are not like that and good to all of us.

Hmmm..interesting.

I read so many say that Leo Ic is normally the fav child. Or that they have a dominant father. Wanted to put it to the test.

Thanks for the responses

Leo 15° IC.

I was never parent's favourite child and still not the one. I came from average family nor rich. But I was a very GOOD BOY. My father was there but not there for me. No matter what I like Home even in current worst time.

I have Sun conjunct IC in Cancer (1 degree) plus Venus and my SN tightly there too. My family's middle class, but I didn't really have many worries in regards to financial difficulties. Father was the breadwinner and mother was a housewife. My parents and sister are also all Taurus Moons with me being the black sheep Pisces Moon, so there's some balance among them in regards to emotional stability, but a whole lot of stubbornness too (but I can't talk too much because I myself have a Mars in Taurus ).

My relationship with my father was always wonderful. I didn't realize how lucky I had it until I became an adult. He's extremely caring, hardworking, and puts other people first before himself. Never was abusive in any way shape or form. Both parents always supported me in my endeavors, even encouraging me to go to art school, but I chose not to go myself. I had issues with my mother, but my father is one of the best people I know. People have told me they sensed I was his favorite (even though he won't ever admit it himself) because I was the first born, and there's a special bond there due to that. Also, one really interesting part that blew me away when I looked at his chart was how he has the same exact planets (Moon, Mercury, and Pluto) and pretty much all of the water houses as well in his grand trine just like mine, including the kite (Neptune), except for the fact that they are in earth signs rather than the double whammy water in my chart, and in a different order too. I've never ever seen that before until I came across his chart. Plus, my sister and mother both have a double Taurus Sun and Moon conjunction in each of their charts with mother being an Aqua Ascendant and my sister's Taurus planets located in the 11th house. My sister and I each inherited something astrologically significant from each of our parents.

However, I don't really prize home life, just a safety chamber of sorts to have my “me time” whenever I feel like it because I'm really introverted, but I also don't mind being around my family either.

Something I've also noticed is how I tend to attract Cancer Suns and Leo Suns (not sure about the Moons). I seem to feel at home for a lack of a better term with many Cancers, and Leos seem to like me for some reason, probably because I let them talk all they want and I'm willing to listen.

I think that you and I have similar relationships with father.

My Sun forms a conjunction to Neptune, Chiron inconjunct Sun.

You have Pluto square the ruler of the Ic(Sun). And that often suggests an absent father or a relationship with them that is difficult.

This is further compounded by Neptune/Sun inconjunct in your chart. Which often suggests a distant father who may live in their own world of drugs, alcohol or just pure disengagement with everyday life or people in it.

When the Sun is afflicted like that, the direction and will to survive in life can be sorely tested. And life can certainly be very difficult and challenging with Pluto/Sun square.

To most people with this aspect, its a battle to just survive!

@Moongaze

What is often suggested when I read online in such places like x-files astrology, cafe astrology etc. That for people with Sun in 4th, the home life gets more important the older one grows(also the case with Ic in Leo).

I think that where the Sun is is where our essence expresses itself effortlessly. I don't know whether this happens with age however or immediately.

Obviously Pluto/Neptune/Uranus in harsh aspect to the Leo Ic will change that. With Neptune on Ic having the individual feel like they belong nowhere.

Pluto/Leo Ic suggests a painful childhood or where one grew suspicious and distrustful of the home environment as the parental influence was either wholly missing or deeply manipulative( two extremes)

And Uranus on the Leo Ic may likely cut ties with home or feel that their home life when growing up was impersonal and unreliable.

Parents may have not instilled pride in the home life or bonded emotionally with them. And so they don't see the use of focusing attention there.

my son has sun and mars conjunct ic. what me and his mother are going through sounds like the 1st response. his pluto is in the ninth with mine in the tenth. Ive been studying numerology as well. we both have the same core number except one set. we are both 11s so it looks like that really being understood by one parent description may be the theme unfortunately. to tell you the truth I feel like ive been through it before

Sun/Mars to IC brings the war(Mars) to the home(Mars). If arching from the 3rd house, it suggests the father is someone interested in spiritual pursuits especially when Sun is also there(3rd)

The 4th house is how your son sees you(the Ic Ic is the Dad). And so the 3rd house is the 12th house from the Ic. So the Dad(Ic) who has planets conjunct the Ic from the 3rd(12th from the Ic),is seen from that perspective.

So the father has anger issues or some difficulty in expressing himself well(Mars and Sun in the 12th house from the Ic).

There is also likely some illusive quality to the Dad that makes it difficult to see what his motivations for acting are etc. Do you see your son often?

Anger blowouts that are a culmination of pent up anger or feeling a sense of powerlessness or inability to assert oneself well( is also suggested)from the father(12th house Sun/Mars conj)

If Mars/Sun is in the 4th, the father is force and is often feared. They are seen as a strong passionate force with decisiveness and a tendency to bully/lead from the front( depending on the perspective)

At home, the Dad is the one in change and making all the decisions and it is likely that with Mars in 4th, marital separation is likely or may result (Mars opposes the 10th house which is the Mother/spouse). More especially if conjunct the Ic from the 4th.

The Dad's personality is seen by the chart holder as very Aries-like; at times very selfish and demanding. At other times brave and effective.

Dad keeps a gun, Dad keeps knifes, Dad runs the homes like a drill sergeant, Dad practices corporal punishment, Dad shouts, Dad expresses hot emotions etc

I have Moon in 3rd and Moon conjuncts the Ic from the 3rd. My father (Ic) had his identity hidden from me from a young age (ruler of 4th in 3rd). My real father is not the father I grew up with.

But it doesn't change the vibrational energy of the chart because;

From my perspective (Ic)even my Step-Dad has a strong Neptune/12th house personality; not easily definable, illusive etc.

If he cared(Moon) for me, it was hidden from me(3rd house Moon is 12th from the 4th house).

Step Dad is also Cancer Sun(Ic sign). And he has Saturn/Moon conjunct which makes him emotionally dry. So the caring part(Moon) is suppressed in his chart and this echoes the Moon being in the 12th house from the Ic.

My step-Dad feels very awkward expressing emotions with all his children. He never has. And has always been a highly unstable person emotionally (Cancer Ic /Moon conj Ic)

My sister has Pluto in 3rd(empty 4th)whilst the youngest has Mars there(empty 4th). As far as they can also attest from their perspectives, he has not been the model Dad. Both see him as tyrannical and violent (Pluto/Mars respectively).
