I mean, it is. It doesn't translate any better. In German it's "Widder" and in French it's "Belier". It doesn't even have the cross-translational and romantic advantages of "le Scorpion" or "Schuetze" or "Sagittaire". It's not even as interesting as "Taurus". Perhaps this explains why we are constantly looked down upon, laughed at and forgotten. People ask you what your starsign is. You say Aries, and they say who? What? Oh, Sagittarius, as that is phonetically similar, and the only one they are capable of remembering. I give up. IP: Logged |

Leo is just "lion" in many languages. Virgo is just "virgin", and Libra is "scales" lolAnd Pisces is, lol, "the fish" haha. I don't think Aries is boring. It even comes from Ares, the God of War. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I've always been aware of it, it's like they had no idea how to describe us :PBtw sheep trying to continuously butt a punch bag are quite funny, it's just that the friggen word for them is boring >  Google "youtube angry ram destroys a punching bag". At least we have curly horns, a seemingly indestructible head, and a thick fleece/ nice woolly coat. Another thing, Aries seem to be able to have arguments with each other where they call each other all the names under the sun, yet forgive each other within 5 minutes as though nothing had happened. None of the other signs do this. I think all signs should be Aries (or whatever you want to call it). IP: Logged |

Wish I could have hit a like button or something. scorpio is a scorpion. aquarius throws water (aqua). Pisces, libra, cap and aries are pretty much the only names that aren't cliché. O and cancer, and most people don't even like those. Most people still don't even believe in astrology, beggers cant be choosy. They could look at you like your stupid for discussing it.

very often in older pagan cultures gods were depicted with ram or bull horns the symbolism was changed with the rise of christianity, but if you look into the symbolism tied to rams and horns you'd probably feel a little differently IP: Logged |

^ Ram still looks like a not-so-warrior-like animal to me, maybe cuz it's herbivorous, altho behavior-wise(and horn-wise) I see now(after a bit of research) why they are prolly one of the best fit to represent Aries(I just noticed that the number of times I have typed Aries is prolly less than a dozen lol) . But still, a warrior represented by a ram, smh smh smh  , idk why but everytime I think of Ram an innocent looking male sheep comes in my mind.IP: Logged |

I think thats the best thing bout Aries, fighting like nutjobs 2 minutes before and masaaging the place they punched 2 minutes later  , thats how things usually go between me and my Aries Mars brother. Most of my best friends and some chicks I've been into have been Aries Moons and considering how much I love insulting people, I could not have found a better fit than them. IP: Logged |

Heh, thanks for the little wordplay. I do see what the OP is getting at though. I've always envied people with cooler Sun sign names like Scorpio or Aquarius. If I was born a day before, I could have been a Gemini myself. Then I wouldn't have to deal with the awkward phrasing of "I'm a Cancer." A reason why I prefer saying "I'm a Cancerian." Leo is most boring name IMO. I like Virgo as a name, sounds nice, exotic, noble (high class).I quite like the name of Aries and it's animal symbolism. I'm not sure why OP thinks Aries are "forgotten", I think of Aries as the first, leaders/pioneers/trailblazers, etc. Coolest name and symbolism goes to Pisces - cue the Kurt Cobain song. IP: Logged |

I have much Pisces, Gemini, Aries and Libra, 8th and 10th house weighting. Oh, and Virgo rising, which is the anomaly. Mirage! How did I instinctively know you were a Gem?
