So it seems that I should seek a mate who's spiritual or artistic in nature.

Which aspects would show this in a natal chart? Lotsa Neptune/Pisces?

Any combination of the following:

- Neptune-Moon-Venus connections. Mercury for writing. Possibly also Jupiter for spirituality.
- Water signs. Signs ruled by Venus or Mercury.
- Artistic/creative an houses, like 5th, 3rd, possibly 2nd, 4th, 11th... Depends on which art we're talking, and which astrologer you ask.
- Spiritual houses, like 9th, 12th, possibly 8th...
- 1st house is always significant, as are angle placements.

Strong indications would be something like, for example, Pisces rising with Moon conjunct Ascendant trine Venus conjunct Neptune in Cancer in the 5th, trine jupiter in Scorpio in the 9th... making a Grand Trine in water signs. That's an extreme example, but perhaps you get the combinations I'm talking about...

Some grounding earth placements to balance the water are also beneficial, like say a strong Taurus placement.

Neptune sextile/trine Moon & Venus. Moon ruled by Venus in 3H.
Neptune square Virgo Sun/Mercury. Sun in 3H.
Cancer Mars/Jupiter in 12H conjunct Ascendant.
4H Scorpio Uranus sextile Mercury in 2H.

Are these good indications of a spiritual/artistic person?

The first ones certainly look promising. Any soft aspects between Moon/Venus/Neptune should bring some measure of artistic/creative ability and maybe also spirituality and sensitivity. Depending a bit on houses, signs and the other apects these planets make of course. What signs/houses are Neptune, Moon and Venus in?

Sun and Venus (if I'm reading you right?) in 3rd house looks promising from a communications standpoint and may indicate a talent for the written word. Virgo on the cusp of the 3rd house is also a possible indicator, since it's a sign ruled by Mercury. Furthermore, if Mercury is conjunct your 3rd house Sun, then I suppose it is very close to the 3rd house cusp, and imo any planet close to a house cusp influences both houses. Mercury in the 3rd would give even more emphasis to the 3rd house and related talents. The 2nd house is a house of value and worth. Anything material, monetary, but also what we value and our self worth. The 2nd house is also sometimes associated with visual arts and music. I suppose Leo is on the cusp of this house? That should indicate someone confident and maybe with a penchant for the teatrical, so possibly also a good placement for acting.

A Cancer Ascendant with Mars and Jupiter looks sensitive, nurturing and optimistic. 12th house Jupiter looks quite spiritual to me, but being so close to the Ascendant it will be expressed more like a 1st house planet.

So, yeah... overall I'd say there are some good indications in there. Hard to say without seeing the chart, but the bits you tell sound artistic enough at least, with a focus on Mercury and communication.

Define spiritual? What does it mean? Religious? Believing in a creator? Or believing in spirits?

And why artistic? Because it means a “soft” person in general? (but thats not the case of course, there are many unbalanced and violent artists)

haha sorry for my questions I need more details!

I guess maybe what you need is a strong empath? If we read between the lines? Or em I wrong?

I’m very spiritual (religious) a big empath and also artistical. Hobby photographer where I try to keep it dreamy toned and I love photographing and editing!
Mainly animals, my birds and nature. I read a research that stated that bird owners are extra empathetic people and its true for me and the bird owners I know of irl and from social media friends

I have stelliums in 2 water houses 4th (outer planets) and 8th (inner planets venus, jup, node).

Plutonian first and foremost.

Also yes grounding energy in form of sun merc in taurus, virgo rising and strong saturnian energies/aspects

Neptune ruling dsc, aspecting venus, sun, mercury, pluto, asc,mc.

I have found that all my closest friends and the guys I have had crushes on are empaths with neptune to their moons, suns, mercury. I can infact not at all be friends with or vibe with anyone who is not an empath! Neptune to sun, venus and mercury is my fav placement to see in friends. My 11th is cancer and “empath” is the main theme with all my friends n family!

I'll list out some that could possibly be indicators. The more placements/aspects and connections, the more likely an artistic/spiritual type (or the potential to be of that nature).

Often a lot of water placements can indicate a spiritual and/or artistic person.

For artistic types, a fire sign like Leo and/or a 5th house emphasis can imply a really creative individual.

Venus ruled signs like Taurus and Libra. Taurus is all about the senses (anything hands on/visual/musical) and also detailed work. Libra is artistic as well, but may lean more towards a conceptual and intellectual approach (it is an air sign after all) than emphasize on technique compared to their Taurus counterparts. House could probably alter this though.

Strong Neptune for spirituality/artistry

Cancer or 4th house Mercury can imply a good poet/writer. Abstract and symbolic.

Pisces and 12th house placements are naturals with the spiritual, abstract, and symbolic.

Scorpio and the 8th house are great with emotional depth and the darker aspects of the human psyche. Would be wonderful for art too.

9th house is the philosophical/spiritual enlightenment house.

I'm a visual artist and consider myself a very spiritual person. I have a lot of water and Cancer placements:

Grand Trine with Cancer Mercury in the 4th, Scorpio Pluto in the 8th, Pisces Moon in the 12th (Moon in the 12th I hear often denotes some kind of artistry and is also a known placement for spiritual healers)

Moon sextile Neptune and Uranus

Chart ruler Mars in Taurus in the 1st (visual/musical and a need to express myself) sextile Cancer Venus in the 4th

Cancer Sun conjunct Venus and South Node (Inherent artistic talent, I think?)

Neptune in the 10th (could imply artistic/spiritual career and reputation); Uranus in the 10th shows someone who'd want to work for themselves/freelance (possible artist indicator)

5th house is empty (except for Chiron), but I have Cancer on the 4th and 5th house cusp and Mercury a few degrees before the end of the 5th house cusp.

9th house North Node conjunct Midheaven trine Mars in Taurus (Part of my destiny is to gain a higher understanding in this lifetime; a possible indicator of incorporating spirituality in art; also shows the potential to be recognized for it in some fashion later in life).

Whatever it means in astrological terms, lol.
IMO it could mean believing in divine power, a higher universe power, karma, spiritual beings, etc.

Artistic doesn't mean "soft". It simply means being creative and appreciate the aesthetics.

The person I mentioned above has Neptune aspects to Sun/Moon/Mercury/Venus. Mars/Jupiter in 12H conjunct Asc.

Libra Moon in 3H sextile Sag Neptune in 5H.
Leo Venus in 2H trine Neptune. Venus is conjunct Saturn btw, which may alter the energy?

Sun/Moon in 3H but in different signs and not conjunct.
Venus/Mercury in 2H different signs and not conjunct.

I used to write poems and science fiction stories, and would get a lot of praise from this. But nowadays I dont really have time, but I still plan on starting that science fiction book someday...

I work in the creative business though, and plan on making a living from doing arts, design or freelance in general.

I'm not very good at routines, high expectations and stressfull deadlines though.

I think very watery people with neptune influence needs to be in the right work environment in order for their true creativity to shine, and they have to feel comfortable with what they do, and not feel too much of a pressure. Without any pressure though, these people can also end up doing nothing, because they don't have the drive or motivation.
I think it takes some fire energy or strong aspects to really turn on that motivation for them, to do something about their talents.

Virgo sun, mars and libra mercury in 4th house (stellium). Mercury square neptune, saturn, jupiter and uranus in 6th house.
Scorpio venus conjunction pluto in 5th house (sextile neptune)
Pisces moon in 10th and cancer jupiter in 12th house

I think a lot of people on this site are spiritual and artistic

I would count myself as one too lol.
I used to write short funny stories in high school about me and my classmates. Just because. Once I tried to write a movie omg... I don’t know how many pages I wrote but let me tell you it wasn’t a few xD didn’t finish it though.
Also one time when I was about 18 I tried to write a fictional romantic book. I wrote 3 chapters... didn’t finish that one either but everyone that had read it really liked it

I also play the piano and paint, draw and take photographs. Soooooo yeah you could say I’m into art

I have been spiritual for as long as I can remember. I always believed in One God and the other dimension, even though I can’t experience it with my senses.

I have a stellium in the 3rd house and 9th house. With my personal planets in the 9th (in Cancer) and the generational planets in the third. Sun is in the 8th.
