So I use to no belief in Sabian Symbols but IDK I am starting to think there is definitely something to it and may really add an important dimension to astrology.

Here is the calculator, you can then click on the sabian link for each of your placements to read interpretation:
http://www.jamesburgess.com/sabian-calculator.html

Share your sabian symbols that the calculator generates for you if like and if you want also tell us which sabian symbol you relate to the most.

These are mine:

SUN
 Virgo 29
A man gaining secret knowledge from an ancient scroll he is reading.

MOON
 Pisces 22
A prophet bringing down the new law from Mount Sinai.

MERCURY
 Virgo 18
Two girls playing with a Ouija board.

JUPITER
 Sagittarius 6
A game of cricket.

SATURN
 Scorpio 3

URANUS
 Sagittarius 6
A game of cricket.

NEPTUNE

Some of us have been using that Sabian website already, in other contexts, for a while, in several other forums here at LL.

Didn't see your own acknowledgements, participations, nor contributions there at all, hypatia.

Mr. Burgess is a wonderful teacher.
(This is HIS work being whole-quoted.)

Remember--- That in SABIANS, you need to ROUND UP to the next Whole Number.

Mr. Burgess helps remove some of that confusion in the way he presents his work.

This is the only one that resonates with me:

PLUTO
Libra 10
A canoe approaching safety through dangerous waters.

I have always been that canoe rowing myself and/or people to safety through dangerous waters.

MERCURY Cancer 7

JUPITER Aries 22

SATURN Sagittarius 19
Pelicans, disturbed by the garbage of people move their young to a new habitat.

URANUS Sagittarius 26
A flag-bearer in a battle.

NEPTUNE Capricorn 8
Birds in the house singing happily.

PLUTO Scorpio 8
The moon shining across a lake.

I do have some success with reading minds, lol! My family is full of people who don't communicate well, and I've always been the one translating their vague words and somewhat clearer thoughts into something other parties can understand.

My Neptune and Uranus symbols are also very apt. I'm prone to seeing the world through overly rose tinted glasses, and I've carried the flag for many causes.

White doves, fairies dancing and moonlit lakes certainly paint a dreamy and peaceful picture. I am rather a passive and contemplative sort, so that makes sense.

The gate of all fulfilled desires might point to both my overly optimistic mindset as well as my lazy decadent side.

The only one that I don't identify with at all is my Moon Sabian. I've never moulded to anyones expectations, so I don't know quite what that one is about. If I use the topocentric position though, my Moon is on the following degree: A bride with her veil snatched away... and I do feel like that's a better fit.

Try looking up significant event dates too.

Even the Sabians for a "Chart of the Moment" can relate to things going on in news stories right now.

For list of Planet Calculations or Chart of the Moment, use Hypatia's url in OP.

For other points
(MC, IC, ASC, DESC, Vertex, Part of Fortune, etc, )

Yes I realize you have to round it up but it took me a while to figure that out!!! and the calculator does this for you automatically which is lovely. I imagine some people are familiar with this website but I am just getting into sabians truly this year as I am noticing there is something to them, I have known about them for years though. Hence this website is new for me and I imagine some people don't know about it like I didn't, hence I feel some would find this thread interesting to explore.

I don't understand why you would say this? "Didn't see your own acknowledgements, participations, nor contributions there at all, hypatia." Perhaps I am misreading the intention behind that comment.

I did not know of those threads and I can start a new thread on same subject. Also, I don't participate in all threads, only some when I have time or feel inspired. It is allowed to start a new thread on same topic but THANK YOU for sharing these other threads with everyone and tagging it to this thread, it can only enrich others with more information, the more info the better.

thank you so much for that link! The angles are so important. I suspect that people would relate highly to the sabian of their angles, I definitely want to explore that idea more.

I was exploring the idea that my AC might be in capricorn at 0 degrees but don't relate to that sabian symbol, I have some leadership qualities yes but is not really my super strength or something that comes off super naturally to me in an AC type of way, like is not how I automatically interact with the world. I relate more to the AC sabian that matches the time of birth my mom thinks I was born at which rounds up to saggy at 24.

"Try looking up significant event dates too." very good tip.

I have Saturn at Virgo 6 (a merry-go-round) and Neptune at Libra 15 (circular paths).

http://sabiansymbols.com/symbol-lookup/ gives the following Lynda Hill interpretations for these :-

Virgo 6 ... This Symbol shows situations that keep returning to the same place without ever seeming to progress, like you’re on a “Merry-Go-Round”. Just when you think you see a way out or off, you find yourself back where you were. However, you are, at least in some way, progressing as each time you return you have had the opportunity of looking around you and realizing and learning more and more about life and other possibilities. You must make a decision: do you want to keep going round and round or are you prepared to take a leap of faith and jump off the “Merry-Go-Round” and start making some real progress? Ever repeating circles of activity. Motion sickness. Habits hard to break. Getting on, and then wanting off. Getting off, and then wanting back on. Carnivals. Lights. Noise. Music.

The Caution: Repeating the same mistakes. Bouncing from one thing to another and not progressing or getting anywhere. Addictive behavior. Returning to the same point.

Libra 15 ... This Symbol implies issues to do with ever repeating cycles of activity that often lead one around in circles or back to where one began. 'Circular Paths' lead us around and there may indeed be a feeling of being back where you started, but remember the experience and learning you have gained on your journey to where you are now. There is a cosmic rhythm and cycle, but when you return to what seems to be where you started, you will have new experience and new skills. However, if you’re not getting anywhere it can be because of addictive behavior that continually leads to the same result. Going round and round. The secure path that leads nowhere. Crop circles. The wheels of progress. Circular machinery. Repetition. Merry-go-rounds. Cosmic rhythms. Labyrinths.

The Caution: Being lost in small details. Sweating the small stuff. Episodes that repeat themselves. Boredom. Addictive cycles that are hard to get rid of. Treadmills.

Thank you for sharing Graham! This is very interesting because the eclipse coming up will be trining your "Merry go round" placement which should be a very empowering time for you.

I actually have Atlantis rounding up to 6 degrees also at merry go round and it forms a grand trine with Cupido and Juno and Amor at 8 degrees pisces completes a kite, the eclipse will be activating this. I feel this year a lot of negative patterns involving that grand trine have been transmuted and a lot growth has resulted. I feel perhaps this eclipse will transmute any karma or traces of the negative patterns left involving that grand trine.

However, this grand trine involving cupido/atlantis/juno also reminds me of my ex who is my eros/cupido and after I broke up with him and I kept fighting to repair us and he would not agree to get back together, I remember distinctly feeling that we have been down this path many many many times in other lives and like we were stuck in this weird merry go round, I remember also telling him if we don't get back together you will come back to me years from now but it will be too late bc I will be married to someone who is not you but will make me happy enough. I predicted this would happen and it did, I knew it in my gut it would happen bc I intuitively knew in my bones we have been on this marry go round god knows how many times. So about a decade later he returned right before I was going to get married. Life. Recently my soul while I was sleeping was trying to heal left over traces of this. My soul still feels like it failed again even though the rest of me is at peace with it but there are traces of my soul that came to life bc my soul has very high standards but earth is different and messy, I fought like crazy to honor my soul, I did give it my all, I tried so hard to break that cycle with him, I cannot break this marry go round alone though, that is the thing and for this life is too late, I wouldn't leave my husband, I am content enough like I warned him I would be and will honor that he has stuck it out through thick and thing with me all this time (and I with him) and the 12 years of memories we have built together. BUT MAYBE breaking the negative cycle of this marry go around is about me not trying to fix us (with my ex) or repair us and just letting things be without having any regrets! Which is were I am at and that dream state were my soul was feeling pain was about healing left overs that needed to be healed to fully be there, helping my soul realize that "is okay, that everything worked out like it needed to, and that I did my part to honor my soul."

This eclipse will also involve Uranus, so there is Uranus on my JUNO activating the grand trine and now the eclipse on my Cupido activating the grand trine. This eclipse will definitely shake things up but perhaps internally on a soul level with Uranus been retro. Add that tr Uranus will oppose my Saturn exact so actually there are two kites involving this grand trine with saturn involved, very karmic grand trine indeed.

That's a great website Graham, thank you! There aren't that many interpretations of the Sabian symbols around online, so one more source is always welcome!

Speaking of angles, I relate to my MC Sabian to a huge degree!

Cancer 11 - A clown making grimaces.

Interpretation by Lynda Hill:

A CLOWN IS CARICATURING WELL-KNOWN PERSONALITIES

This Symbol pictures being light-hearted, enjoying life and taking on the attributes of others in order to entertain and amuse. Laughter is said to be the best medicine and employing a light attitude can be useful to relax and get things back on the right track. It can be fun to look at life from an objective viewpoint and caricaturing others can cause us to laugh at the seriousness of life. However, perhaps someone is not 'being real'; using masks to hide what's really going on in their life. Or, perhaps they’re playing the fool when the situation needs a more seriousness. This degree often shows the ability to take on the personas of others. Exaggerated responses. Wanting to entertain. Show business. Putting on a face. Making fun of people. Impersonations. Lampooning. Life imitating art. Comic performances.

The Caution: Being foolish in the face of positive possibilities. Trying to cover up one's true self or one's mistakes through buffoonery. Facades. Laughing stocks. False impressions.

I have an irrepressible urge to imitate people. It's probably one of the first things you'd notice about me. I can't stop myself... in any ordinary conversation I'll imitate what people say. Sometimes with humorous intentions, but usually just because it's compulsive. I'm like an echo. I do this with everyone, on a superficial level, but if I know a person for long enough I'll assimilate all their favorite expressions, quirks and mannerisms. My grandmother has been dead for 15 years now, but I'm still imitating her... playing the part of her in an odd way, to keep her alive in my mind. This 'talent' of mine makes it easy to learn any skill that can be imitated, but it does have the drawback of making it kind of difficult to find my own expression. I'm only myself when I'm alone, when there is no one around to mirror...

^Interesting. I feel you there, it makes you feel vulnerable, that fear of been judged or not understood so you hide to some extent parts of you unless you feel super safe to be yourself around them. I can relate. Its safe to mimic others, if anything it helps build up your connection with them and I think that is a lovely way to build up a connection too. I feel super flattered when someone imitates me bc I feel like this person really knows me and is paying attention and is just funny as F.

Your sabian symbols are so beautiful, I love them. The moon one is the only one I dont like but that is it, the rest are so cool and yes it is possible that your time of birth is off by a tiny bit since you relate to the other sabian symbol more.

I sometimes fear that people will think that I'm not genuine, that I'm a bit fake... My native language is Swedish, and in the area where I live there are many very distinct dialects, some of which are barely intelligible for the standard Swedish speaker. When I speak to someone with a different dialect I'll immediately switch to their dialect. It's completely unconscious. Even though I've spoken my own dialect all of my life, I'm unable to speak it if the other person has a different dialect, or if the other person speaks a more standard Swedish. And that's just one example of how I'll mirror the people I meet. Sometimes I rather dislike that I can't just be me... But yeah, I often manage to make an instant connection with people, because I think they get the impression that I am just like them. And that might be the reason why I've never been very alienated even though in many ways I'm very eccentric.

hahahah OMG I have to read the interpretation of this one but can we say that I love brownies and the sun and dancing! 3 things I love in the same sentence, not to mention sunsets are beautiful.

"A peacock parading on the terrace of an old castle." Interesting imagery to think about.

"Birds in the house singing happily." lovely. I have Pallas on that sabian.

Pisces doesn't do much in my chart. It sits empty on my 6th house cusp. Neptune is prominent, conjunct IC from the 3rd house, opposite Mercury and Mars, trine 12th house Moon.

I had heard of mirror neurons but never read about them. I find the subject really fascinating, so thank you for mentioning! Reading about mirror neurons also led me to read about echophenomonon and echolalia. Normal in young children, but not something that tends to stick around into adulthood, unless as a symptom. Maybe I have some mild and benign form of echolalia/echopraxia/echomimia... This in turn reminds me that I have asteroid Echo exactly conjunct Chiron, very fittingly.
