Topic: Anyone else feeling anxious but hopeful for 2020?

Around September, I began to feel anxious about the new year. It's not only that, but a new decade. Needless to say, this one has not been every kind to me. but I'm grateful for the trails tribulations. My marriage ended, I changed jobs many times, lost 2 very close family members, had evasive surgery, went through a tough bout of depression, and harsh financial difficulties that nearly left me homeless. I am hopeful though, I tell myself every year I am going to go out on NYE and ring in the new year and have some fun, but I never do. So, I am hoping to at least have somewhere nice to go, or make it a fun night in. I'll be turning 40 in 2020. So I'm looking forward to that milestone...I am trying to take some needed reflection and forward thinking to get my mind in the right state for it. I just hope the coming decade will be kinder and gentler on me. What about you guys/gals on LL...what are your thoughts and feelings on 2020? Thanks! <3 IP: Logged |

No, this one was mostly better than they've been for a while, and time feels like it's going too fast for me. I have felt like setting a few goals, though. I need to, even if I don't know how I will accomplish them. My life became so small and stressful - incredibly depressing for a long, long time - and I feel superstitious over setting new goals, since the last time I tried, "best year yet" goals, my mum died.
