The closest aspect to exact orb in my chart is sun sesquiqudrate Neptune. When I reduce the orbs to 5% in astro it is the only aspect that shows. Would this even matter considering it’s a minor aspect? Sun is my chart ruler (Plus Leo sun and moon) so has a lot of impact. IP: Logged |

Yes, it matters. It's like a mini square.------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification IP: Logged |

this made me curious enough to look, for me it's uranus sextile my ascendant, jupiter square chiron, and saturn semisextile neptune (i'd barely count those last 2 though since it's outer planets and an asteroid) IP: Logged |

8th harmonic aspects = persisting with something beyond the point that others consider to be reasonable/ rational.Minor aspects can be major influences - and major aspects can be minor influences. ... And the whole of the 2 series of harmonic aspects are major influences - because it is through oppositions, squares, semi- squares, sesquicentennial-squares, etc that each of us obtains feedback from others (against which to check the validity of our internalised thinking, views, opinions and beliefs). Hmmm....mine is the inconjunct aspect between Chiron and Sun.I think it should be looked at with more interest to investigate what it means from a tangible pov. It could be working unconsciously. To bring it forth to conscious awareness would be advantageous I think. This especially with confusing Neptune in the mix IP: Logged |

Thank you all for the replies! And Aries23degrees it makes sense that’s how it would manifest and I do relate to what you said. I was surprised to find this out because I always thought my tightest aspect was moon square mars. The squares, conjunctions and trines are easy to grasp how they play out and are more in your face but the minor aspects like these are a little harder to understand. I have always felt or related to some Neptune descriptions more so when I was a kid but have some 12th house planets and my 12th house ruler conjunct my sun so thought it was these things causing it. Maybe this aspect has more of an effect then I realize or even subconsciously like Aries mentioned. IP: Logged |

My thinking is that it probably adds to the 12th house planet influences. I believe that the Universe does make it a point to align certain energy patterns or repeat them for a reason. Like if for instance the native "missed out" on the Moon in Pisces, there is Moon/Neptune aspect to make up for that.Or perhaps a Moon in 12th? In other cases, it could be that you missed outon a conjunction/square or opposition etc. But the energy still finds emphasis through the inconjunction, sesquiquadrate or semi-sextile aspect (this especially the tight orbs) I think I missed out on Venus/Mars conj and so I got Venus and Mars in each other's signs ie. Scorpio Venus/Mars in Libra. This is called the mutual reception by sign. But both make a tight semi-sextile aspect to each other and rule the Asc/Dsc axis respectively. So their roles are important. That’s very interesting about missing out in something so it finds its way in the chart in other not so obvious ways. Because when learning about astrology you concentrate on the more important aspects and tend to avoid or dismiss the smaller aspects. When there could be a underlying theme going on that is less obvious which ends up just as important as a major aspect. IP: Logged |
