For example, Asc in ♐ and Mars is in house 7 in the chart. Then we should look at where Venus is to align with the martial energy in 7th.

Is Venus ruled by Mars? In aspect to Mars? Or sitting in a house that Mars typically does well in? I.e. 3rd, 6th or 10th?

Maybe Venus is in exalted ♓? But then when we look further, we see that the Venus in question is in the 4th house of home. Not a competitive place at all.

But then Venus forms an out of sign conjunction with Mercury in ♈ in 5th. BINGO!!

Mars rules Mercury. So the home life may be very argumentative(♈ . But the native tends to maybe escape the chaos by retreating to fun OR taking that energy and expanding it through creative projects(5th)?
