Speaking of beauty...

my Taurus beauty who I never would have "met" were it not for this magical and deeply healing place...

I love you, T. You are my best girlfriend and the only one who understands everything in my heart. Nothing can ever replace the memories and the growth we have shared together. I love you so much I had tears in my eyes from the start of this paragraph. Thank you for always standing by me, faithfully, honestly. Thank you for being a true friend and sharing your honest feelings even when it was difficult. Thank you for sharing yourself and your wisdom... your joys and your sorrows... your moments of epiphany and your moments of fear and darkness. Your honesty and truth and just plain "real" has been and is an irreplaceable gift of soul. Knowing someone understands and believes the things I believe and goes through similar growth and stages is something that keeps me sane in this difficult life. I have a female Taurean friend whose birthday is on the 4th. Anyway, I got her an MP3 player for her birthday, because she loves music (obviously) and listening to audio books (which I do as well). Knowing that I had gotten her a gift, she asked if she could guess what it was. I obliged. She asked if it was the song she likes on CD.

The song she likes is a guitar line I made up years ago. (In fact, I remember part of its evolution from while I was in the Navy [94 - 98].) I used to spend a lot of time over at her house, and she'd have me come in to her room when she was going to sleep, and have me play this melody. She's always loved it.

Since I got her the MP3 player I thought it would be easy enough to incorporate her wish into her gift.

I've only worked on this four days thus far, but I don't think I'll be tweaking it much more before giving it to her. I did write a measley six lines of lyrics for it. They are very Taurean, though, so I hope you enjoy this as well.

No, thank you, for being you! A most kind, wise, compassionate, loving woman who i am privileged to call my friend. A girlfriend that every girlfriend wishes they had. AG, what a fine example of a Taurus/Cappie friendship. That's a really sweet story. She's going to love the gift you got for her.

Hippichick! Howve you been?!? Wow, what a gorgeous shot - awesome natural sculpture on the coast too! Yes, I really miss being so close to the beach. I'm about an hours drive from one now.
