i read it years ago. and enjoyed it. i think rhonda has oversimplified, esther charges too much! and barbara is a little too "realistic" at times (as i recall, like i said it was years ago). but the basic message and encouragement is spot on...and i think all of these people have something to offer us on our road. thanks for the link venus!i am just reading one of the "biographies" of the beatles. talk about dreams come true! the element of fate appears over and over again in the story of these guys...but ALL they knew was that they HAD to make music; they wanted out of the working class; and they weren't interested in ANY of the objections of the reasonable people around them who wanted to spare them the disappointment and starvation so obviously ahead of them. this insight alone is worth a hundred self-help books to me. i am not knocking the kind souls who try to pass it on because i appreciate ALL input on the subject. just saying i find the stories of people who just went for it just as inspiring...
